As someone deeply connected to my culture; the Tiv culture, I found the portrayal of our heritage and traditions in the movie to be both respectful and enlightening.The way "water the waters" showcased the Tiv customs, beliefs, traditional powers and history was not only visually stunning but also carried a powerful message of resilience, unity, identity, uniqueness and high esteem to our tradition. It's rare to see our culture represented authentically on screen, and your team's dedication to accuracy and storytelling excellence is truly commendable.This movie has not only entertained but also educated a global audience about the richness and diversity of Tiv culture. Unlike fictitious stories of other producers and directors who said we give out our wives to strangers to make love with just to show hospitality. Thank you for your contribution to promoting cultural understanding and appreciation.Warm regards,
I observed a few erroneous stories in this movie,
1. WE DO NOT ALLOW OUR MAIDS TO GO IN WITH ANY MAN THEY WANT TO MARRY BEFORE GETTING MARRIED, as demonstrated in the case of seember and varshima in this movie, please 🙏 the director should take note!
2. Discussion among irresponsible men whenever they gather about their private life with their women is not categorically to Tiv culture alone but customary to all cultures, meanwhile in Tiv land this act traditionally was a taboo but the world is changing to something we don't all know.
3. The accent is very poor, some Tiv actors or actresses should have been involved to make it flow fluent, although even those ones undoubtedly do well as well, it's not their mother tongue.
4. Custumes portrayed our culture by color but the dressing style is not accurate.
Many other minor errors that need to be considered when next acting such movies, I suggest more eloquent knowledge about the culture show me investigated from the right source. Thank you
