I have a friend and client from Monaco who has cars like the F40, LaFerrari, among others. He also has a 512TR. He drives all of these cars without the slightest concern for the mileage! And he always tells me that the more he uses them, the better they get! He hates people who keep these cars in their garages. He hardly attends events because he can't stand the exaggerated talk about not using these cars! He always tells me that the cars that give problems are mostly cars that aren't used properly!
When I called my insurance agent for quote on 1990 Testarossa it was crazy low, turned out he assumed I wanted classic/anqtique policy which limits to shows, parades, and the like. I said no! I'm driving this everywhere, even to the grocery store! Considerably higher price and totally worth it.
You are one of the best of the best, you drive them and enjoy them with occasional pleasure, unlike just letting them sit like trophies like collectors. These beauties are lucky to be owned by you!!
@@jasonjcr_cars819 Yes indeed you do, I've seen that compared to others, keep it up, all your advice was right and that is the real way to honor and take care of these beauties!
Hi Jason, I’ve recently purchased a 328 and I find that it needs to be properly warmed up before it really shows its true greatness. Gears get smoother and engine note gets better. Generally this takes 10 - 15 miles to get to this point but it’s so much better when it’s properly warmed up. Mileage does not bother me as I want to use the car as I’ve wanted one from as far back as I can remember. I’ve had other nice cars in the past and treat all of them the same, and use them. Always puts a smile on my face. Keep up the videos. Cheers 👌🏼
@@davidcarballo9921 hi David, my 328 is exactly the same. It really needs 10 plus minutes to warm up. Then it runs very well. My gearbox is quite smooth and easy from the get go, but the engine needs that time. Staying under 3 ish for that time. It’s been like that since I’ve had her. Then she’s ready to rev! Thanks for the note David! Cheers from Austria
Hi David. My 328 is the same - I give it 15 minutes keeping the revs under 3000, then it's so noticeable that the engine and gearbox have properly warmed up and feel slick and responsive! And I can then use 2nd gear 😄
Thanks for posting Jason, another lovely video! Like you, I enjoy my 328 when I can during dry summer and autumn months when there's no salt on the roads. My car is slightly higher mileage so I figure just enjoy it as it was made to be enjoyed. And the 328 is such a wonderful car to drive - it's intoxicating! Honestly, when I'm driving it and when I get out, my level of dopamine happy hormone is so high 😁. I can only imagine what it must be like with the flat 12 cylinder TR which sounds utterly fabulous!! Keep posting please! Simon
@@maseraticc2834 thanks Simon! I can honestly say the 328 is just as exciting as the Testarossa. For me anyways, our little 8 cylinder does nothing wrong! I know you’d also have salt etc. to deal with too! Lots of that same hormone here too! 😉 thanks Simon!!
I told ya when we chatted last. I DRIVE my cars. We did 300 miles on Saturday (Porsche Turbo S) and then she and I did 250 miles yesterday (Sunday) in my supercharged S2K and her 718 Boxster S. I would do the same with my former 85' 308GTS. If I ever buy a Testarossa, I'll driving it.
A lot of people do the same with Corvettes. It’s important to remember that cars are meant to be driven and enjoyed. The thrill of the open road, the roar of the engine, and the camaraderie of fellow enthusiasts are what make owning an exotic car special. Instead of letting it sit in the garage, take it out for a spin, attend car shows, or join clubs. I know this sounds cliché life is too short to have regrets, so embrace the experience and make lasting memories with your car!

@@quisp3676 I actually have mine insured as a historical car here with full replacement value and it’s actually quite reasonable.
