Sir, you are saying that if D comes after L in any word, then L is silent.And you give example :- could, would, shlould. if so then, Why is a soldier read as a soldier, why not a soder? And in this it is completely opposite. D is silent in it and the L is being pronounced.I sincerely hope that you will look into this.
