Competitive TCG's are essentially a complicated form of Logistics. You need to find a way to get the exact cards you want from you deck into your hand under the best and most consistent circumstances possible. Those circumstances could relate to the card game directly, like needing the right cards to answer your opponents cards at the right time, or not so directly, like managing the time you spend between rounds to use the bathroom or remembering to bring a snack if there is no lunch break during a tournament.

The sets legal for standard play are based on a rotation schedule set by Pokemon, currently legal cards are any with the regulation mark "E" and on in the bottom left of the card!

It’s a good video for the time allocation. It would have been better with more of the actual gameplay. A 45 min video would have been more appropriate

of course they picked the biggest of all judge sharks to do the video on

What does that mean? Like he calls the judge for small misplays?

@@Cat-zc8njidk anything about Henry so not saying he does this but generally players are responsible for keeping the board state clean even if your opponent is making the mistake. Letting your opponent make a game state breaking mistake and not stopping it intentionally before it gets there then calling a judge for penalties is rule sharking and technically illegal but impossible to really prove/punish

I dont know much about price pools for TCGs but 25k seems a bit low.
I mean you have to buy the cards and probably several decks over the year, then you have to pay travel costs most likely, because I Pokemon TCG has a point system for Qualifying right?
So I think if you win the 25k you probably just made the money back you already spent, or am I wrong?
Kinda insane to me, if you consider that pokemon is the biggest videogame brand in the world and even "smaller" esport games for example have way bigger price pools, even tho they make way less money than pokemon company is

25k is high for tcgs, usually they arent that much and they have a spread of prizes of thousands for the top 32-64 sometimes at like worlds up to like 500k in value. Still think it should be more but considering tcg like yugioh does nothing its still pretty good but you never play to make money really anyways
