Hi cowgirl, loving your inspiring videos. Amazon wishlist item on its way to you. Keep up the good work as your videos have helped me in taking care of a well seasoned quarter mare I am blessed to ride. Thank you Shannon
@@TheCleverCowgirl Do you think it would help Studman relax if he just watched you work with the other horses for a few weeks? From the sidelines. Maybe if he saw the other horses working, but not being scolded for errors, he wouldn't be so tense. Just an idea.
@theclevercowgirl I would most definitely LOVE to see and learn, how you deal with Studman’s fears, with training, the stick, or simply anything at all please?🙏 I just am so incredibly interested and blessed that I came across your channel, probably about 12 months ago now and I cannot even begin to express to you, just how sensational I personally believe you are and how you deal with your beautiful horses. Your sensitivity, thoughtfulness, caring and of course your abundance of love for these absolute gorgeous animals is second to none. You’re really amazing and I just wanted to let you know that because, for whatever reason, some people are incredibly quick to be nasty and negative etc, instead of being nice and lovely. They obviously mustn’t of heard that if you don’t have anything nice to say, say nothing at all. Anyway thank you SO SO SOOOO VERY MUCH CLEVER COWGIRL. I personally cannot even begin to tell you, or explain to you, again , just how VERY MUCH I adore your channel and EVERYTHING you do and stand for. So YES PLEASE, I personally would LOVE to see anything and everything that you would like to share with us all. Sending much love, hugs , prayers and thee very best of wishes to you and all your beautiful horses, from Melbourne, Australia♥️
Quick story about my cat Mitz, she brought up to the front porch not one but three dead mice, she laid the in a row from largest to smallest, I must have been 19 it was gross but we all laughed, called her a good girl and I got rid of them. Good mousers are worth their weight in gold for sure, never had a mouse in the house she also caught Voles, and a mole, she was a great cat 🐈
Skeletor is just like my husbands horse. He wears me out😂 He steals my hat of my head every morning when I bend over to pick his bucket up and flips it around in the air.

@@LaJewel I did for 20 years but I just had to own again. 😅 My condition was to have him in my own yard where I can ride & train him. Its been beautiful to own another amazing horse. He is a handful to ride but so cool to teach tricks too. If u type in my name on utube u can see all the tricks I have taught him, from lining up at the mounting block to picking up the balls in the yard & buckets, to wearing funny glasses. C-PTSD is so prevelant in humans, it MUST also be in the animals they've "treated as they were treated". Many of us would be VERY interested in your take on addressing the neuro-biology of a traumatized horse - generalizable to other animals!
Primrose is built very nice, I had a horse years ago that a quarter/thoroughbred cross, he was high spirited and naughty much of the time and I was worried he would never be good on trails, but he finally did get less hot and we spent many a year riding in the South Mountain Preserve that is located is South Phoenix. Wonderful trails, hidden places and even a very large "cool" cave that had a natural split in the roof that served as a chimney when myself and friends would ride up their on weekends and spend overnight. We could cook over the campfire in the cave because of the natural chimney the smoke was not a problem. My horse was called Shane, he was a gelding that had been raised as a youngster following his Mom on the very same trails in the the Preserve. He remembered those outing well, he was great about the cactus along the trails, he was fine about the many jackrabbits running around, and he was super surefooted. He had black hooves and they were hard hooves so he never had problems with his feet going along the rocky trails. At night in the cave we had a nice flat spot to tie the horses and we would use a pack horse to bring our food and theirs with us up there. Looking out across the valley of Phoenix at night it was like looking at sparkling jewels, many good memories of my horse and my friends up on those mountains. He lived to be a ripe old age and I missed him big time when he passed. I have not had a trail horse like him again, he made me feel safe on the mountain trails, but he was a bugger on flat ground; he did like to run and was hard to stop, I figured it was the race horse blood in him and I did NOT go on flat ground rides with him as once he got his motor going, he was difficult to stop. I fell off him once on one of his "runs" and couldn't walk for weeks. He was however my favorite for any type of trail riding. Your Primrose reminds me of Shane in a big way.
I owned a thoroughbred quarter cross named Bogey but we often called him Mr. Boogers! We had some of the same issues, he was great in the hills and trails of the Shawnee National Forest, but get him on a flat and it might be a rodeo! It often was! I have loved each horse I have owned and often say this: Some of my very best friends in my life have never spoken a word to me. Happy Trails!
New to channel and this is my first time seeing Primrose....she is wonderful :) I love your vibe so much, it's all about the horses and not an ego thing for you. Rare on YT!
You are one of my favorite channels to watch each day! I love your approach and I learn so much. It's interesting and fun to see the eventual change in the horses as they realize not all people are so bad. I love how you recognize each horse as an individual and not just put them into one category. I love how you recognized Stud Man's issues and backed off, reinforcing positives and calming down the scary things. Skeletor is a piece of work! (Said in a positive manner!) He really is beautiful and quite the character! Hoping your back holds out with his "enthusiasm"!
Time, patience and A LOT OF LOVE.I like your style, and you already know I love Skelator. The view in back is breathtaking.Beautiful country.thanks for doing all you do for these horses...
Excellent video! I would definitely like to watch videos on how you help horses like Studman become less fearful during training. I'm glad the weather is mild so you can keep working with your horses. ❤
Definitely would be interested in seeing how you deal with horses that have the "I'm scared to try because I have been hit for getting it wrong before so now I'm scared to try anything" issue. It makes me super sad to see horses like that because what brought them to that point will make you hate the world if you dwell on it too long. I'm glad he landed with you and I look forward to seeing how you bring him to the pint where he understands he will never be treated like that again. I loved Skeletor's "LET'S PLAY!!! WHEEEEE!!!!!" attitude. He's definitely young in his mental development but he seems mentally developed enough to start.
Now, that was, as almost always, rather interesting. Four horses, four different ways of moving. Skeletor is still exuding Golden Retriever vibes. And I was feeling so sorry for poor Studman. And yep, I'd be very interested to see what you are going to do about it.
Welcome to warmblood baby brain 😂🤣😂🤣. That’s why my young horse is a Lusitano. The sillies are a lot shorter. Skeletor sure is a good looking dude though! Oh, and a suggestion for poor Stud Man, that you are kind of doing-let him watch the others having good experiences. It might really help him to see that no one gets beaten the way he probably was 😢
It has become my favorite thing to watch each of your current horses and to see their progress. Primrose is gorgeous. I really appreciate your videos and am surprised to be learning so much in my older age.

Very happy I found your channel! Look forward to learning from you as you work with each of these unique horses. Studman’s anxiety was heartbreaking; so glad he is with you.
Totally agree would love to see Studman get over being afraid. I would be as puzzled as you as to why he is so scared especially since all you have done is treat him with love and kindness, luckily he didn't have to deal with an abusive trainer like Pete did, he would be a hot mess.
Stewie DNA test result video in the future! Yes! Super excited. He went so beautifully for you. Remembered all that you taught him. That must feel good. Really enjoyed seeing you work with all of your horses. So neat to see how differently they move and act. Thank you!
Teach studman a trick with a reward system. I've broken down a defensive barrier with something incentive based that is more like "play". Give him something fun that reassures him. I did this with a very spooky, reactive mare and she stopped to think about the ask when she associated with the fun thing she was taught. The fear became a thing of the past.
I use a fear free approach to training, which is basically finding a way to create a positive experience from anything that causes fear, anxiety, or high levels of stress. It is similar to classical positive reinforcement!
Im really, really enjoying your style of vlogs. I also love that your horses are diamond in the rough horses. That is far more interesting & relatable IMO ❤🐴
Definitely want to hear more about Studman, Completely care about him becoming more comfortable and confident. Thank you for going at the pace each horse needs ❤ Also wonder about Skeletor. Thanks, Clever Cowgirl.
So glad to hear your ankle is not broken. And it sounds like not needing surgical repair. Name suggestion: Jasper, specifically the in the ocean pattern matches your new boy’s pattern. Some words connected to Jasper stone. Powerful healing. A warrior’s stone. Gives a sense of well being. Looking forward to reading the others name ideas too!
I love watching you're channel. I've had horses most of my life and I still learn something everytime I watch. Due to three failed hip replacements on my left hip and two dislocations on said hip, I'll not be able to ride again. Do I'm horse-less. Your videos cheer me up as I watch your calmness and patience with these extremely lucky horses you rescue and and start. This horselover thanks you for your channel. ✨🐎✨
Thanks Cowgirl. I'm interested in all things you do with your horses. To see the difference between each and how they progress at different rates is great.

Thank you so much!
Would love to see a video on how you test saddles to fit your individual horses! Looking forward to see more training on this whole group :-)
Studman, i wonder if horses have bad dreams & if that ever reflects on their moods etc Good Job Girl, im glad you are taking the time in equine care
Name suggestion:
Jasper, specifically the in the ocean pattern matches your new boy’s pattern. Some words connected to Jasper stone. Powerful healing. A warrior’s stone. Gives a sense of well being.
Looking forward to reading the others name ideas too!
I am so amazed at your sensitivity. How beautiful. You are a healer. Thank you for your beautiful Soul. Namaste'
The mountains in the distance are so gorgeous---they almost look like a back drop! Seems like good beginnings.

Thank you! I am so glad you enjoy them!
Skeletor loved those nose scritches, so cute!
Thanks Cowgirl. I'm interested in all things you do with your horses. To see the difference between each and how they progress at different rates is great.
