Wow. Me and my dad went to Abrams almost every weekend from when I was 6-9 years old. I sure do miss that. I have tons of pictures of the SW's working, cabooses, the line of engines by the office...I miss those days bad.
I was 1 of the few rail fans there that day. I was there with my friend Phil. At the time he had a red pick-up truck. We were quite frequent visitors at Abrams back then. Especially on the weekends.
I agree 100%, I'm going through my older master tapes when we all were still using VHS Camcorders. I'm coming across alot of Conrail videos so I desided to post them. I was around before Conrail were just memories. I saw it come in , in 1976 and I saw it go out. Hope your enjoying them. Len.
Thanks for stopping by, I'm working on part two of this video, You'll see PIMO leave for Morrisville and see other movments in the yard. I have video of Yard Master Marty and Carl too. I been looking for that. Len.
Len. I think I was there that day when you filmed this scene. The Dash 8 was dropped off because it broke down. After looking at this video a couple times I know I was.
Thought so! Thanks for clarifying that. Would you by any chance have any footage from Morrisville Yard or the Morrisville area? Or anything along the Bordentown Secondary?
seems like train east of reading have decreased since NS took over, through Valley Forge theres like 8 - 15 trains now. Its impossible to railfan with the NS police and barricades now.
elirosen1391 , well really Abrams yard is not part of the Morrisville line. Abrams is part of the Harrisburg Line. or Ex. Reading Company Main line. The morrisville line is the old Trenton cut off of the Ex. PRR also called the Dale Secairy. Len
Conrail was made up of 7 bankrup railroads, Lehigh Valley, Reading, PRR, CNJ, LNE,DL,NYC. Abrams yard was owned by the Reading Company before Conrail. Len.

You still can rail fan Abrams you just have walk on the side walk on the other side of the street, NS can't stop you from over there.
Len.

@Conrail6370 Do you have any videos taken along the Morrisville line in places other than the yard?
Have you ever seen the D&H train stop in this yard? Or does it usually go right past it?
