The video’s theme does not follow the theme of the song. Rather, than a deceased loved one, i feel the message of the video is the distrust we see in our significant other. When you find “that girl” or “that guy”, you are in a theoretical mental heaven whenever you are with them, while struggling to face the idea that they might not be faithful.
This video does not match up thematically with the song. The song is about never knowing the true intentions of someone you love, and how the heavenly feeling we have when we're being intimate can be a projection and a one-sided feeling.
i think it does, i think it doesnt just match up but also tells you the true intentions of someone you love, it tells that someone that loves you, loves you because of your positivities, and in heaven (in a place where all of your goals happens) they find someone better than you, they find someone who has your positivities but not your negative shitty sides, because everyone has their perfectionistic ideas about objects, including you and about you.
