Cool how because of this remaster, Fishman Island will actually get an ending song, which wasn't the case when it first aired back in 2011 because of how long the opening songs used to be. Also goes to show how long ago 2011 and New World's debut was that they're now redoing it for 2024 and 2025.

I know right? I was 14 and a high school freshman when New World was adapted for the anime. Now I'm 27! Crazy. Just crazy how it's been so long.
Also, here's another mindfuck, the New World part of the One Piece anime is now older than the pre-New World part of the anime was when New World first debuted. Feel old yet?

When I started to watch One Piece, in 2011, I remember the anime was in Fishman Island Arc. So this new version brings back so many memories! I loved the opening We Go, it was so amazing!
1:22 is a freaking dream come true. I still remember how my heart dropped when that shot appeared in 517, the drop in quality hurt, but this, this is good.

Most definitely dude, Fishman Island has the exact same amount of episodes as manga chapters, 51. Pace that out and 21 episodes sounds pretty right
@@obviusthemaxim2509 They really stretched out 51 manga chapters into 51 episodes? SERIOUSLY??? Well, to be fair, they probably did that for the sake of Eiichiro Oda getting more of the original One Piece manga series done ahead of the anime series.

@@PamaduRanasinghe Nope, it's redraw, all of it. The only thing they keep is the background. They even said the "reshoot" lots of things. The animator doesn't take a break
it's mainly because the anime is too close with the Manga so the anime take a break
Yeah a redraw not reanimation. You can improve art but not change the animation, you just draw over what exists. That said they said there would be some new cuts.
Animators are not taking a break they are just getting more time to polish the new episodes.
@@wildanbaxtli6913 Not just that, but due to the WIT Studio remake happening Toei is trying to make sure that people will still watch their version of the earlier arcs. So they have to improve the pacing and animation to make this adaptation still just as worthwhile upon re-watch. Because despite them both being One Piece, these are two different studios earning different money. Also people who are coming off of the new show and want to catch up faster using Toei's version can get into it faster.

That is different, it is animated by other animation studios but toei is one doing this because one piece anime has gone on a break for 6 months, this is different and that is different.

Sabaody is original one piece animation style. Most people like that and also yea wit will probably end their version there, it's probably toei drawing the line. There is also an original animation called One Piece Fan Mail that would cover the timeskip on a fan's POV.
They did east blue, they did alabasta, they also did skypiea 😅

@@youll.befinenah, it's a compilation in the form of movie. It's sh*t. Don't bother. The only good one was the Arabasta movie, but even then, it cut like 60-70% of the story

Unfortunately you're right - I saw some VERY IMPRESSIVE re-edits from fans using JOJO's BIZARRE ADVENTURE SFX and it sounds glorious!
Imagine if we had Toei Animation with David Production SFX - One Piece would be even better and even more popular - the pre-2000s SFX library got old way back in 2000!
@@ProtoMarcusthe sound effects are unique and really good but they are way over used now and the main thing is that they keep reusing the same 10 - 15 sound effects they need more variety
@@JustAsh001 To be honest I don't exactly mind the limited variety - it's just that the SFX sound *old* - low fidelity, low quality and they don't really fit the quality of the visuals
