That is a GREAT movie, as is its counterpart, " My Fair Lady"!!! Leslie Howard is one of my favorite actors!!! George Bernard Shaw was a genius to craft this version out of the mythical "Pygmalion", n the musical version with Rex Harrison n Audrey Hepburn is AWESOME!!! Thanks for making my Friday night!!!
Love this movie love Leslie howard. And just love old movies. Many young viewers today, don't realize that modern Cinema has its roots in these early films
Hi Best dialogue ! And relationship dynamics! Interesting to think woman was made from Adam’s rib to be his HELPMEET ! Not his servant or plaything! And that is exactly what Eliza and Henry found in eachother! Beautiful!
There was another, later, version done with Peter O'Toole and Margot Kidder. They are both good actors, but I like this version better. I think Wendy Hiller really captured the character, and of course she was better with the dialogue than Kidder. No shame in that. After all, Hiller was born to it. Leslie Howard was great as Higgins. Overbearing, unfeeling, devoted to his craft. And the dialogue written by one of the greatest playwrights of all time. No weak spots in this production.

How much more the great Leslie Howard would have done, had he not been lost in WW II.
En mi opinión, la británica Wendy Hiller es una de las mejores actrices de todos los tiempos. Aún diré más, y una de las más bellas.
Beautiful actors and a VERY charming,
lovely story - INDEED❤❤❤
Thank you so much, George Bernard Shaw!
Wonderful dialogue at the end by Eliza !
Wendy Hiller was picked by G. Bernard Shaw to play Eliza Doolittle after he saw her performing it on stage..

_I feel rather like Noah, standing on the bridge, watching the loading of the ark--you know, two of everything._

Now then now then now then. This isn’t Paris you know 😂
This is the best version in my opinion. The Peter O'Tool version is way over acted
