@@NightmareFairy666 June 30th Live Vol#20 Japanese Seal (currently running) has MATERIALISE. It seems like Yuriko still lead the song, Wakana's part was given to Joelle.
Mikoto, Mai and Miya were my favorite three in My-Otome! I loved seeing them again after watching My-Hime. Even though they had very little screen time they were the best. You know Nagi messed up when a god fights against you
Yep. She's the strongest especially in head voice. And she had the widest range and strength across the range too. You don't hear her go breathy or "weak" anywhere in her voice unless it's stylistic. The thing is they're different types of singers: Kaori is a pop belter and has good register switching bit is breathy in head voice; Keiko is a mix of light pop, modern enka-style and all the contralto goodnes - uses a lot of legato-style singing and dynamic changes; Wakana is a soprano pop, choral-style singer, with a bit of classical a wannabe.
Uhm... yuri was not a special guest vocal in Kajiura live #5, which is where this materialise live was taken from, so there's no way she could be singing here. Besides, it's pretty obvious who's singing main here: yuriko at the start and end and wakana in the middle. you can tell them apart by their vibrato. yuriko's got an extensive vibrato while wakana's is not as strong.
This is so cool! (And the Anime isn't bad either.) After seeing this video many times now I bought the CDs (Amazon has them listed for 20 Euros or so). It is really worth the money. By the way: does anyone know the lyrics? The CD box has a supplementary sheet with some of the lyrics but not from this song :-(
The part where the 5 columns line up and materialise is so badass. I wish we got more of them in the show.
They should expend this anime !! Great music and story line
One of the greatest versions to Materialise I've ever heard, anyone who actually got to see and hear this in a concert was very lucky
Is there a different record of this tho?
There is a live version which felt pretty underwhelming. This version has better pacing and backup
@@Banana-cc5rx where is the other version? I only know of this one, though if it is as underwhelming then I may not bother trying to find it
@@natsumitheflamontsujimoto7099 This is the only recording of Materialise live.

初めて梶浦由記さんのライブに参加したのがこのツアーの横浜公演でした。
MCでゲホゲホ咳してる人の声じゃないんよほんとに…
The soprano who begins is Yuriko Kaida, who is probably Yuki Kajiura's best hired vocalist.
And yet, she's not nearly as appreciated, praised, as Wakana, Keiko and Hikaru. It's sad, really. I love Yuriko's singing so much...

I thought Yuri Kasahara started that soprano part
@@jamesgnitno9232 According to the booklet of the live CD, only the main vocalists of FJ were present.
Thanks for the info. Did not know.
A live version? Oh, Lordy! (And it is magnificent!)

No, Wakana and Yuriko sing most of it. Keiko and Kaori harmonize the rest. Just clearning some things^^
love it a lot
I just love this moment 1:40 and 3:15
3:15 especially, how it goes softer. that piano in the background softly playing along with the chant is very excellent
@unmeibushido
technically it's yuriko kaida =)

Do you know who sings the main part in this live version?
Yuriko and Wakana on high notes / Keiko and Kaori on low
Does Yuri Kasahara sang this one as well as the main vocal?
Isn't this mai hime anime??
is Mai Otome anime
Same character, different story. It's speculated or hinted to msybe take place ages after mai hime
@@Banana-cc5rx speculated is more accurate. There are elements that don't match yet it is clear that they are connected somehow.
Yuriko & Wakana~ :3
I like the original version better. They overdo the vibrato on this one.
