In the near future, a giant clock with a height of 35 meters and a face with a diameter of nearly 10 meters will be present in Kampot province, while the provincial administration is now officially starting to hit the ground.
This was stated by HE Mao Thunin, Governor of Kampot Province in the first ordinary meeting of Kampot Provincial Council of the fourth mandate on June 25, 2024.
HE Mao Thunin, Governor of Kampot Province, stated that the development of tourism is the first main goal of Kampot province among other potential sectors in the province because Kampot has many locations that are full of tourism potential. Not yet fully processed to attract tourists and citizens.
Therefore, for the benefit of the people throughout the province and throughout the country, HE confirmed that the provincial administration is currently starting to build another giant clock after the statue of fish, sea horse, water spray, which is up to 35 meters high. The face of the watch is almost 10 meters in diameter and is designed in the style of Khmer, with the time being used as all Khmer numbers, along with other floral patterns in the Khmer style.
In addition, the provincial administration will gradually begin the process of organizing beach resorts at the end of June.
According to the Kampot provincial administration, the construction of another giant clock is made after many tourist achievements such as beaches, fish statues, sea horses, water fountains and many recreational places have been prepared. Attracting the flow of tourists who come to relax in Kampot has increased significantly.
