mine was empty almost new i put 1 million inthe center it makes it like a locker almost and 500k in front and rear i have a vid on it u definatly need the engine case outer wear for sure i usualy pull the plastic head peice to get all grass out it gets packed in there allot
That pinion is like what's on the baja I actually got a new pinion and clutch bell from rovan it has a hex instead of that slit design I had some trouble with the slit design
Where do they expect you to drive this thing to the point to where you actually have to buy outerwares in order to not have stuff go into the motor because you drove it????
Ive found no matter how much air you spray at the engine, it wont remove the grass that builds up on the 90 degree bend in the plastic shroud where the air from the fan turns and goes across the cylinder. I bet if you pull that plastic shroud off the engine, you will find grass packed at the bend section where compressed air just dont seem to be enough to get it out. The only way i stopped grass from continuing to pack up in there was outtawear :) after i dont that, it never built up again :)
Very surprised to see plastic in the drivetrain on a machine like that. Even though, Losi’s plastic resin stuff seems pretty tough - but not for drivetrain. Maybe that’s their built-in point of failure 🤷♂️
You should make sure none of cooling fins broke off the fly wheel , common thing that would cause noise you wouldn't see , you just have to pull 4 screws this way can clean the fly wheel out
I doubt I could teach her even if we could afford it. People listen to her, so she has to be correct. She wants to do it. It is complicated, just more for us to keep up with.
I would put 20 mill and get a aluminum diff cup. I know losi sells one or after market one. I would like u said n video clean out put 20 mill call it a day

We did end up pulling the motor to check the clutch there was more grass everywhere
