Their peak. An album chock full of futuristic energy, melody and aggression all amalgamated into a potent vortex of power and catchiness spearheaded by a maelstrom of oneiric vocals. Utter masterpiece.

The Thoughtless Believer Wario Not a big fan of the latter era swedeath bands. I guess you could call Septicflesh melodeath but I've always thought of them as gothic death.
Carl Bernroth Well, Septic is certainly death metal, and in that album there are many melodic moments. So safe to say they were melodic death during that album.
I just love the chorus in the song Mindtricks 5:35... "Enclosing ways of mind... revive into my eyes... I feel your idle grasp around my neck fading away... Encoding waves of mind... revive into my eyes... While I'm screaming now for a last time..." This song is so bone chilling since it is such a bitter song overall if you carefully analyze the lyrics from start to finish... Its actually one of the greatest songs of all time in the history of this stupid planet that mostly misses out on stuff like this...
DM is one the most underrated bands ever!!! This is AWESOME!!! This album is reaaly incredible! I just can´t stop listening at least once in a week since 2006! Mouth for War is a really cool cover, but it´s just that! Better to pay attention to their songs... much much much better! BEAUTIFUL!
Celestial Furnace is just an absolutely amazing song..... Honestly, haven't much listened to their other tracks, but I absolutely love that song.... Cheers..
this album bring back all the good memories. loved this album so much many years ago, listened to it almost everyday for many many days. still damn good >
Agree, i have been a fan for many years, and it just isn't the same without him. Disarmonia Mundi was always only a side project for him. Disarmonia Mundi seems on hold for the time being, but is definetly not dead.
Joe P i disagree, i like them all but somewhere in the middle or their timeline works best for me. his vocals are shit in early years. but yeah the guitars shred harder in earlier years too. that's a tough one. having said that siren charms is still a decent record iimo.
heavierthan metal My personal favorite in flames album is soundtrack to your escape. Clayman and earlier are all amazing albums, the last true Masterpiece is Come Clarity, I even liked a sense of purpose a lot too, and some parts of the next two records. so essentially the best part of in flames was before jesper left
Revisiting this after a few years. This, along with a lot of other Disarmonia albums were on my playlist when I was writing my first book. Not my favorite DM album, but that's very much just preference. So many great melodies mixed with hard and slamming metal, I remember why I kept it in regular rotation
Holy shit. This is really good find! I didnt know this band, until I constantly clicked on the video suggestions, stumbled upon this vid....lol. Really awesome.
God this whole album is great but Parting Ways has to be my favorite, just the way they play the guitar, the vocals (especially when it transitions into the chorus) and the drums make it incredible and everything that is great about Melodic Death Metal.
This whole album is amazing but I think my favorite song off it has to be "Ringside" christian is my favorite vocalist of all time and don't get me wrong the other vocalists are also fucking amazing!
Gotta say it - guitar lines of this band are fucking solid. Especially solos. Damn, they could drop some succulent yet heavy and groovy solo. Such a solid state of melodic death metal.
More similar to soilwork because Bjorn strid (singer for soilwork) does a lot of guest vocals on their albums. I do think that in flames, soilwork and disarmonia mundi fall under the same "symphonic metal" subgenre, but they definitely have a more similar sound to soilwork if anything else.
My favorite DM album, other than Restless Memoir's & Nebularium are neck & neck even. I do love every single one of their albums and i do have them all except for The Isolation Game...i have heard it and i do like it,just not as much as Mind Tricks,Nebularium & D-Generation. Hell go check out The Stranded Survivalism Boulevard....that album is fucking badass !!!! I love it & i can't wait for new releases from these guys.
i've been looking for melodic death metal bands like this, which have nice clean vocal and cool guitar solos. so far i have found disarmonia mundi, darkest hour, blood stain chind, gyze, lunarsea. any suggestions?
Muhammad Faqihuddin Maybe In Flames isn't listed there because it's the obvious answer but if not... In Flames. Also Dark Tranquility is good. Born of Osiris isn't really melodic death metal but you might like them anyway. Unearth is also great but more metalcore - lot of cool arcade like guitar. Wretched is also an amazing band but you won't get the clean vocals with them - listen to Exodus of Autonomy and Beyond the Gate.
Muhammad Faqihuddin Huh I thought Insomnium had clean vocals in a few songs but can't find any.. Die Apokalyptischen Reiter, Disturbed, Sonic Syndicate and The Agonist with it's female lead singer then
if you like this you may like mors principium est. not exactly the same but they are an amazing band that every metal head can love. the creativity in their guitar riffs along with the vocals is masterful they get hardly enough attention for how good they are... MORS PRINCIPIUM EST!!!!!
i was about to say that this sounds alot like soilwork, then i realised i hear Bjorn from Soilwork i did the research and I found out that Bjorn singed in 3 albums of Disarmonia Mundi, wich is gr8 cause i like soilwork alot and this band is something different but awesome too !
I'm going to be annoyingly corny, anyone out there listening in 2023?
Still here
Nope 2024😅
Boy even in 2024 we're still here. 2024 new album hype!
2024 now🤘 amazing album. Speed for the win as always
No but I am in 2024 :)

Holy fucking shit, I can't believe I forgot about this album. This is without a doubt the best melodeath album ever recorded.
Carl Bernroth what about Holographic Universe, We Are the Void, A Sense of Purpose and The Great Mass? Ever heard those before?
The Thoughtless Believer Wario Not a big fan of the latter era swedeath bands. I guess you could call Septicflesh melodeath but I've always thought of them as gothic death.

Never mind, fuck that album.
Don't get me wrong, I fucking love latter day Septicflesh, but I wouldn't call them melodeath.
Just finished listening to this album.... Feels like I can move the solar system now.
I fucked up also the.weather in the Netherlands...

instead we get "gucci mane" and shit like that....
This is way better than it was 10 years ago. Back then I wasn't mature enough to appreciate how flawless this album is.
One of the most underrated bands.
heavy in flames and soilwork influence, loving it
maybe because speed also sings for them....
I was wondering why when he started singing it sounded so much like Speed. Thanks, man.
Thanks for the upload. :D
This guys are musical geniuses. They deserve every penny from your wallet by buying their kickass album.
Truly the best melodeath album and band!

Process of Annihilation... that song gets my blood boiling every time. In a good way.
sifting through the depths of my computer and found this album from years and years ago. good stuff.
THE DAMAGE IS DONE

Underrated band.

Disarmonia Mundi > In Flames
this only applies to in flames after clayman not before as in flames clayman all the way back to lunar strain is god tier
That's an easy one. New In Flames is complete garbage. But old In Flames from Clayman and backwards is amazing.
Joe P i disagree, i like them all but somewhere in the middle or their timeline works best for me. his vocals are shit in early years. but yeah the guitars shred harder in earlier years too. that's a tough one. having said that siren charms is still a decent record iimo.

Daniel San - let's be serious for a moment. Ringside Seat to Human Tragedy is the only one good song
Can't get enough of this album!
Can't wait for new solution 45 and disarmonia mundi!

wow, this is the first metal album ive listened to that doesnt have a ridiculous amount of arguing between fans >.> Great album.

Amazing Album! 👍😎🤘
Disarmonia Mundi sounds like In Flames
Remembering the teenage angst years with both of those bands.
More similar to soilwork because Bjorn strid (singer for soilwork) does a lot of guest vocals on their albums. I do think that in flames, soilwork and disarmonia mundi fall under the same "symphonic metal" subgenre, but they definitely have a more similar sound to soilwork if anything else.
disarmonia mundi rules!!!
BEST sound for winter
first time in a long time i've played through a full album
Amazing soundtracks!

Just discovered this band. Must say it's awesome
In Flames, as well. Atreyu is also in the same genre. Thanks for sharing, this is good stuff.
pretty sure all metal heads just bowed their head in shame reading this comment.
heavierthan metal I was fine until I came across atreyu. I wasn't sure how to respond to that.
Mitchell Wade what's wrong with Atreyu?
JAH5331 Calling Atreyu a melodeath band is blasphemy
AyZeD that's true, they are metalcore. I'm not sure why this guy thinks that they are a melodeath band. But nonetheless I still really like atreyu
Love this so much.
what a gorgeous evil genious \m/
Now I see where Soilwork took their inspiration for their new album "The Living Infinite".
i forgot just how good this album is, great mdm album
Love this album

Well that is because Christian Älvestam (the singer from Solution .45) is featured in this song
