I so desperately want this film to get not only a remake, but a prequel and a sequel. But I'm horrified by the potential of what fans, or corporations, would do to it.
A sequel or prequel should be made with certain conditions: 1. Made by true science fiction fans of the genre or movie itself who are interested in telling a story rather than an agenda 2. Use old techniques or replicate exactly the colors and style in a true authentic way. The pacing and plot can have a little modern twist, but not enough to distort the film. No crazy cgi or useless action and explosions overly done.
2:04 I like how they played that off. The Ship's Doctor could see that the Captain was going to say something that was going to cause Morbius to clam up; so he redirected the conversation to the other device.
True Teddy, but worse, Doc figures if Morbius thinks his visitors are intending to probe Krell knowledge, they might pose a threat when discovering the source of the monster. A good doc always knows when to clam up!

Sci Fi was pretty lame back in the day, but I remember watching this many years ago and being blown away. Primitive special effects aside.

Leslie Nielsen back in the days when he expected us to take him seriously.
