A sitting construction truck is a very expensive construction truck, best to get it out and back to work asap. Overkill is better than underprepared.
Can't wait to see what you do with this BEAST! Love snow cats and what they can do. FYI if you pick up an untracked cat from the rear lift frame its way easier to maneuver around pivoting on the front wheels. (If it runs and you can lift the front push frame.) Keep the videos coming!

I'm surprised you haven't bought a Tucker. You can do 70 mph in them. Just stay away from the really old ones with the steel tracks and pontoons. They can be a nightmare.

You should put like a cab on the backs and put like bunk beds and like a stove and kitchenette and stuff in there so you can be having like a mobile rescue shelter

@@passthespanner Most tow trucks have a slot with a place for a large pin for towing stuff. I have also seen some with a ball on one of the forks for moving trailers with a ball hitch on it.
I realize the need for the equipment you're building, but you are following the heels of MOR for all of your builds. Matt's wrecker and the bombi build just seem like you are trying to beat his machines.
Our resort has one of the test models of that snowcat. I love how big it is and how much terrain you can cover. It definitely has some crazy traction. Only thing is it has sooo many problems from being so old now.

Dave is so damn smart how his mind works, he always can hop in any machine any year,, figure it out and get it moved! Like the level of attention to detail when he makes an instant plan in his head to get a task he needs to get done and cant turn back.

Good ol Logan, UT, lived there for a year. I use to run cat back east at a ski area, man that was fun, almost got into doing Snowmobile trails in CO, but the position was filled... good times... keep up the good work guys! as always
I'd take the tracks apart and make them with heavier componentry (stainless) and put a bigger motor + two pairs of extra rollers in the rear to give it even more flotation. On width this is maxed out. That would allow for a hitch to be added and with the spares from the spares unit, you could make a snow-cat trailer. Either cabin or platform or both with a detachable cabin.

I worked as a mechanic at a ski hill in Alberta, Canada... They had a Beast in their fleet. The stuff it could climb was unreal.

Fun fact, they are way easier to move when you lift from the rear. All the weight is in the front half. And tie that front axle in.

Right of the rip I know we are going way longer to got that beast up on bigger sprocket. Nitrous assisted turbos so it can make its own oxygen.
We have two beasts at the mountain I groom at! You can do the whole hill alone with a beast.
We have some of them in our ski area - its called „snow space salzburg“ located near the city of salzburg 😊
