I’m a plein air painter, but sometimes I find more joy in watching others paint. To see the process of others- you struggling with the wind, running after and recovering blown away paper towels, finding the color/value/shapes, and coming up with a good painting! Nice work.
Great job tolerating the winds! Both paintings turned out great! I love it when you and Ariah paint together because of the different interpretations you gus come up with of the same scene, and differences in your painting styles. Well done!
Great paintings by both of you !!Thanks , these videos showing trials and realities of pleinair painting, and how you resolve the issues, are so educational - I look forward to Sunday mornings 😊
Way to roll with the punches! Ariah's magical blend of colour and texture--I could look at that for hours. Your sycamore tree changes turned out great. And your greens...gorgeous! Love watching you two paint together. Good vibes.
Those paintings are some of my favorites! My sunhat’s off to you guys for braving the glaring sun and the wind, and you never complained! I loved the scenes you painted, and the COLORS! Thank you so much!.
Give you guys huge credit for braving the wind! I paint this canyon pretty regularly and it often pretty gusty there. Always fun to see your process and what you come up with! Cheers! 😊
Wind…so challenging, but you get to paint in the great outdoors…so worth it! Your painting results were magical, even with the tumble it took. I enjoyed the beautiful scene and your successful painting. Thanks for sharing.😊
Second comment on TH-cam in ten years is for here... the way you structure your pictures is unique. I copy them with watercolors, my body can't tolerate the solvent of oil, but I see your videos and I admire how you can simplify the beauty of things to the soul of these things, you reduce absolutely and make them light, bright, fantastic and I heard what you said. ...thanks for your videos...really
I always enjoy watching you paint and learn a lot from your comments. Having your painting friend along makes the video even more interesting. Both of you are great painters. Thanks for sharing.
Bravo you two! a great effort with super results despite the grit. I also enjoyed the sound of the frogs in the background. It's cold and wet here in the UK and i'm itching to get out and paint, so envious of your sunny weather. Thanks for sharing 👍
Thank you for this I really love this fella that you got painting with you and I really love you have other people with you it’s very educational thank you very much great job. I love both of y’all pieces.
Well now I feel like a real wimp and will remember this episode the next time I’m out painting with less than “perfect” conditions! 🤔😁PS. I actually love both of your results!
Uriah yours appears to be more finished. If it were mine I would let it set around for a while and be very careful about overworking it. Nice job guys. I did a painting in the mountains on a windy day and almost got blown off the mountain.
Thank you for addressing issues I've faced this week - wind and easels. Rocks in canvas bags is a great idea. A good suggestion is bungee cording the painting along the edges on those days. My French easel took a spill in the wind this week. Nothing hurt. Is there a preference between tripod easels and French easels in this kind of wind? Does it even matter?
"Somehow I think it was more than that.. I think it was 5" hah 😂 Lovely/inspiring video as usual! I'm extremely drawn to the light hearted/ down to earth vibe that you approach your paintings with. 🐦🏞 It really does move me. 💙

Oh man. You both hit it out of the park - really nice job simplifying all that noise, with all that wind, and probably in record time.
Thanks Maura!

For someone who doesn't paint at all, I am becoming a regular on this channel. This is what calm feels like

You guys are painting warriors. Great paintings considering the wind.
Both paintings really reflected the crazy wind energy of the day to perfection. Great paintings!
Thanks Michelle!

plein Air warriors ! Good for you two hanging in there!
You guys are such troopers. Truly inspiring to this newbie plein air painter 😊

Loved them both.

Amazing results gentlemen, especially considering the strong winds!
The wind could be challenging! You guys managed to pull magical paintings.
Thank you for that wonderful treat 🎨🎨
Thanks Cedric!

This high action painting! Awesome. I did mushrooms at this spot in the late 90's 🍄😀
Both of you have produced really nice pieces considering the hazardous conditions at the time : )

Two lovely paintings. Congradulations for working under such trying conditions.
Both are gorgeous
I grew up around there and it gets very windy!! Your brave endeavor yielded great results! 🍃
Both are wonderful
Windy! Beautiful paintings despite the wind! :D
Thanks Kay!
Love this. It's a difficult day but I would like to see the scene too.
Differcult subject, both achieved beautiful colours.

I've never had my easel blow over. It's an Anderson style easel. Definitely more stable than a french easel.
Thanks.@@chamberlainpaintings
I think that shadow on the water was coming from the oak tree on the other side? Really braving the elements guys!
Loved both paintings. Personally, I would not be able to tolerate that wind. I can only paint in stillness.
The song "Four strong winds" by Neil Young came to mind 😇
I'll have to find that song!
@@chamberlainpaintings Right on!! 😄
Good morning Michael : )
Good morning Mark!
@@chamberlainpaintings. Looking at your sketch designs 4:44 as you and the brush are one approaching the canvas .
