I met brother waleed when i was 10 (i am 23 now). He came to my school to raise funds for Islamic relief and i got to shake his hand after. He complimented my firm handshake and told me a story about his coach telling him that “a handshake says a lot about a man and that it is important to have a good handshake”. It has been 13 years since then and i still remember him.
Subhanallah he pops up on my TH-cam while I was looking for a sami hamdi video.

MashaAllah it’s so beautiful when you finally say it and truly feel it. This last Ramadan changed me alhamdulilah, Allah put ease and love of the religion in my heart no one else. I put on the niqab started praying again 5 times a day… before I was praying just not all the time and I took the hijab off 4 times sub7anAllah. But last Ramadan he changed my life. And I’m forever grateful. I finally got everything he was trying to tell me for so many years. And I became Muslim at 19 as well. I’m 29 in June and just starting to truly learn Islam and my mission and purpose. And it’s all that’s to Allah. Allah please continue to guide me inshaAllah Ameen.
I've listened to Sami Hamdi to such a great extent over the past few months that I've memorized his life stories lol, his words brings so much comfort and hope in these turbulent times. In fact, everyone at Yaqeen feels like family now. These videos are real gems for me, and while I wish they were available to me in my twenties, I can only feel all the more grateful they have come to me in my thirties when I can do my best to make the most of everything I learn from them.
I was blessed to be Sami's witness at his civil marriage. Well done to you Sami, keep it up habibi Sami ❤
