“This is a slow song” right before the scream verse😂 Never know what you’re gonna get with TØP. Lyric is from Levitate. The Clique is going to figure out the lyrics bc they tend to look them up and decipher them, so they know them really well.
Seeing people fall into that lull of thinking it's just a quiet song before the big end shift is always one of my favorite moments of watching people react to twenty one pilots, it's always so satisfying
Lol I thought that was basically it for the song and then BAM. And yes I am noticing you guys have no issues picking up these lyrics haha I am gunna have to up the ante!
I feel like any one of us in the comments could spend hours talking about how much we love these two boys, their music, and their message. Sigh....I miss live music sooo much.
My interpretation of song is he's talking to God, hence "the ghost of you is close to me" and line where he says "i'm inside out and you're underneath" means I'm showing you what's inside me and you're what supports me. Way I took it but there's a lot of multiple meanings which make the song writing so brilliant!
We’ve been there. As a devote Christian or someone who’s only been to church once, we’ve all had the moment where we look back at what we’ve done and the terror that is to come and we simply yell “ don’t let me be gone”.
Love this song!! So powerful...i always get emotional when i hear Tyler crying out to God in any of their songs, i’m sure we can all relate to that intense feeling of finally coming back to Him.

I love Tyler’s screams! They’re always full of emotion. You can practically feel and hear the desperation in his breath. The challenge song is Levitate. What if you blank-out some of the words in the lyrics, to make the game more challenging? We would not only have to guess the song, but fill in the missing words as well. Just a thought. 🤷🏻♀️
Yes I totally agree. Very full of emotion and intensity. It is powerful. Thank you for that idea! I really like that. I think I am gunna give that a try in a few videos.
all of their album's last songs have a similar feel imo (goner, leave the city, truce) yet all of them are unique and amazing in their own way :)) and the lyrics are from levitate
This is the last song on the blurryface album, which is why it's so slow and leads to such a climax. It's a little bit of a lead in to the themes trench explores. He says "I have two faces, Blurry's the one I'm not", not "I have to face it" The song is kinda the beginning of Tyler resisting Blurryface. Throughout most of it he's giving up and giving in, he's beaten down. But at the end he rises up in one last time to resist it. Also the line "I'm inside out, you're underneath" isn't totally clear in meaning. I take it to mean Tyler is turned inside out, he's exposed, and Blurryface is hidden underneath everything he does, but it could have multiple meanings. Great reaction :) I love the way you analyze the songs!
And I think that fact of the first half being kinda defeated but then the last part there is a resurgence to resist is an excellent way to end the album. It ends on a high note, it ends on hope and sets up the next album to capitalize on that. Also I really like you take on the Inside out line. Thanks for watching and commenting :)
Such a powerful performance - crazy it's just a guy on the piano and a drummer and you get that much energy and emotion from a song The part about the birds, I've always thought he was the red bird and the white birds are like his support to help him through - i think the song is to God but also parts about his fans too Also, any of the live performances at that show are insane - so you can't go wrong with any of them
@@suffireax also I've watched that video probably 50 times and I just now realized that the bird thats trapped in the beginning is white, then it becomes red - maybe it's showing the two sides to him and he doesn't want to be trapped but needs the support from others who have been trapped - similar to the trench trilogy- i love their music and videos because no matter how many times you watch or listen you always pick up something new - and he has said himself there are still things in their music and videos we haven't discovered yet
While I can see the fan interpretation, this song has always been one of the more obvious "prayer-like" songs to me. There can't really be "a ghost" of fans, but when those lyrics are looked at from the perspective that he is singing to God, the "ghost of you is close to me" could literally mean the Holy Spirit/Ghost. Then I've always seen "I'm inside out, you're underneath" as showing that despite the fact that he is trying and failing to separate from Blurryface (making him inside out/twisted), God is underneath like a safety net of sorts. The fact that he is asking God for help also explains why he is pleading for God not to let him "be gone" because if he doesn't have that "safety net" underneath him, he could just fall forever and end up gone
Yes I agree, the fan interpretation definitely feels like more of a stretch to me and that this song was intended to be more prayer like. Like you said the "Ghost" representing the "Holy Spirit" and such. The inside out take is interesting, I like that perspective on it.
This is the second song I ever heard from them, and I was hooked, even though it wasn't this version, this version just umpht it up more. Love them soooo.
"I'm inside out your underneath" this line means that now all Tyler's feelings that were inside him were turned inside out, that is, now they are outside. (I hope the translator translated well and everything is clear here)
im so glad you chose to do the live version, though the original video is absolutely heartbreaking to watch it just hits even harder live. no song makes me more emotional than goner does. chills every time. and as someone who has every single top song memorized, yeah the lyrics are pretty easy to guess lmao if its by them i'll immediately know it (levitate)
I did watch the official music video and it had quite an eerie feel to it. And it was very short. Probably their most basic music video. Thanks for the feedback haha I appreciate that. I will keep tweaking it.
I would definitely suggest you to see the music video as well. It's just 2 minutes, but it gives you a clearer point of view of the song. It's really haunting and eery to say the least. They use a slow song to end their album. In this case, this is the last song from the Blurryface album (era). It kinda closes the story of him wanting to get rid of Blurryface, and how he needs god/fans help him do so, after all the struggle and battles he went through throughout the album.
I did go back and watch the official video once I was done with this reaction and haunting and eerie are two perfect words to describe it. That is exactly how I felt while watching it.
@@suffireax I love the simplicity of that music video. Just Tyler alone out in the snow with his "trekkspill" (Norwegian for whatever that instrument is called in English...) . The way he yelled to himself was so powerful, you get a glimpse of what's going on in his mind💙.
My interpretation is... Depression. He is struggling and he is looking for ANYONE or ANYTHING to help him. (I have extreme depression, anxiety, agoraphobia and PTSD, so this is just my take) He would cover his throat and hands in black, as he didn't believe in himself, singing or playing piano etc. This version of the song (If you haven't heard the original) Is him fighting back, SHOUTING and SCREAMING his demons out. Must have felt amazing to scream that out.
7:12 Lol, I had the same reaction when I first heard it, and I'm sure everyone else. Yes, it's a slow song, but very powerful. Sometimes less is more and with some of their songs, this is true. I was never a fan of screaming in music, but with Tyler is different. He's crying out for help, like it's a release for him and I love it! Funny bc this was one of my least favorite songs off of Blurryface. It took a few listens to get into, then I was hooked. Btw, your comment about camp was too funny. I can relate as I grew up a Christian and went to camp as well. Lol
Haha that could be the slogan for this song, "Less is more" cause that fits so well. Stripping it down to basics yet not sacrificing any of the depth and meaning. Lol I am glad someone else felt the camp reference 😂
I have seen many comments about the scream and how much people love it and I totally get it. There is just something about his intensity and the sincerity in his voice
My catch on "I'm inside out, you're underneath" is that if something is underneath (your skin, your soul, tour whatever), it's supposed to be there or should be there, but you are inside out then that thing is "outside", where it is not supposed to be; metaphorically is far, wrong. It's still underneath, properly positioned and/or where it SHOULD be, but you are wrongly, unproperly disposed towards it, because in the end it's you the one who's inside-out For sure my take is wrong, but that's how I red it and I can relate to it.
I think that the lyric “ I’m inside out and your underneath” means that Blurryface is coming through turning him into a different side of Tyler. And then I think that “ your underneath” means that Blurryface is hiding beneath him and not taking over Tyler. Whereas the beginning of the lyric is saying that Blurryface is turning me inside out so he is the thing that is there instead of the actual Tyler.
So far I’m an 6:31 so I don’t know if he has said this already but in the bible it says something about the devil being disguised as a white dove so that could be a symbol for that
the fox theatre version is from their Blurryface Live concert movie which is why there's so many and it's not so much that the game is too easy but we all have the lyrics memorized so we know it right away. like for me, i read the first couple of words and my brain automatically supplies the music from the song it's from. speaking of, the song lyrics you did was from levitate :)
I kinda wish you would have reacted to the music video too because it's kinda emotional lol but regardless, great job!! I've been benching all your TOP reaction songs in order!!! I love your interpretations!!!
One thing regarding the white birds... For both their Trench tour, aka The Bandito Tour, and the Blurryface Tour, aka The Emotional Roadshow, the lighting design was conceived by an outside source. The boys definitely were involved, don't get me wrong. For both tours, their is a series of behind-the-scenes videos, like five or six for each one, and I believe their is one for the Blurryface tour which spends a lot of time talking about the lighting design and the whole process behind it. Who knows, as you react to more live performances by them, you may consider reacting to those as well, as it will give you more insight into the guys as people. There's also a lot about the fans, some immense fan-art installations... as you are continuing to find out, these boys are NOT like other musicians. I hope you continue to enjoy the journey! Cheers!
Wow, they even put effort and creativity into the light show. Like what do these guys not do. Their creativity is unmatched. I wonder if Josh is ever like "Yo Tyler maybe just let someone else handle this aspect of it" haha Thanks for the insight!
@@suffireax I found the video! It's only 4 min 30 sec, when you have time. They discuss the lighting in the first half, then on to some fan interviews. Here is the link: th-cam.com/video/Rh9i_LyqSIc/w-d-xo.html Enjoy!
The white bird inside the cage probably it Tyler's self inside of him. I mean it was his thoughts that he cannot express. Co'z most people when they hear someone with mental health issue think they are insane or just makin' up things. When he created music with his lyrics its like an expression of his freedom of his caged emotions and thoughts. Then those flew away from inside his mind.
That was awesome! 7:12 He surprised you didn't he Danny, he surprised me too. 😄 "I'm inside out, you're underneath", I think he was not in a good stage and God is underneath holding him up. Cuz I know when I'm in the worst of life, I feel like I've turned inside out, don't know if I'm correct. ✌
I agree with other Clikkies that you should react to their self-titled album. I suggest start from the first track. It's so beautiful and it's one of my fave albums. In this one Tyler really struggles with his faith and cries out to God many times. It's a masterpiece!
I will definitely make my way around to it haha my plan is to go through every single ToP song they have and once that is done, do some of their live versions as well. And i'd imagine by then they will have released a new album haha so I'll have ToP content for a while!
In a lot of religion a White Dove represents peace. I've always took the red dove to be him and/or blurryface. That's probably not the bigger picture behind the doves but that's a possible take. I guess they could also represent hope towards the red dove. I think the white dove in the red cage was Tyler locked in by blurryface. Maybe.
I agree, I was thinking a similar thing, that Tyler was the red one and all the white ones were people like him who were surrounding him to help him. Blurryface being the cage also seems very accurate. Although if he has defeated Blurry in this song then perhaps blurry was the one in the cage?
My interpretation is different. From multiple songs, I believe that Tyler lost a friend to suicide. This has profoundly affected Tyler and caused him to reflect on his own life, and thoughts of suicide. When he sings "I'm inside out, your underneath", to me this is how Tyler feels "inside out" with all his emotions out and exposed, raw, "your underneath", his friend is dead and buried, but far from forgotten.
should react to Friend, Please by Twenty One Pilots! and the end lyric is from Levitate! i say do 50/50. sometimes do one line. other times do two lines!
Levitate is the song. Can you do a reaction to the song "Fall Away" the live version with Dr. Blum from Mister Wives. Dr. Blum is a trumpet player I think you will like him 😀
you should listen to the studio version - react to their albums!!! you should start with blurry face then do trench since they’re both concept albums the songs make a lot more sense when listened to in the full project!
Any IDEA wich behind all things is a Goner To notice to realize the lyrics also sounds like it corolates as if description of the meaning of God, and I'm about the MEANING as if the meaning is always within and without of all things and the Blur is but motion in between as what simulates the extension of within and without meaning as a whole, which happen between the inside in and insideout meaning of Rhythmic Balanced Interchange. Losing the meaning is sad. Just a thought
Yes I have been wanting to do that one for a while but the problem is that song in particular gets blocked the second it is uploaded. So I think that may be an IGTV song only.
Ford theatre version is good but studio version ends I think better. He screams it but ends it beautifully. Take a listen to end please. Levitate w your lyric. When I hear that song I wait for the part “We are not just graffitti on a passing train. I got back what I once bought back....”. Keep em coming. Have you done guns for hands yet?
I did lol it was such a great and powerful ending to the song, I have listened to it many times since. I love the scream at the end. And you are welcome, I am glad you liked it :)
Thanks for the aphorism. Yeah, he needs God (or someone else) to help him to get rid of Blurryface. The song might be simple but the way it is presented, gives it life. *TOP never seizes to amaze.
Levitate. For TØP songs, you could prob get away with a handful of key words and we'd get it. The bands message is their biggest drawing point for the fans... other songs it might be a different story. Also, for pretty songs, try The Judge by TØP, I think you'll possibly feel your soul float on the word "free" maybe even have goosebumps. Maybe. I feel the freedom of the word, anyway.
...and to continue that thought... If you want to do something like this to engage people and possibly reward them by picking a future reaction as I suggested before, maybe share a quote YOU said in one of your previous reactions & have people guess what song you were reacting to? Would make it more difficult & reward-worthy.
Well yeah you could google it but that just takes the fun out of it for yourself. So they can if they want, it doesn't affect anyone else ability to play or enjoy the game. I do like your suggestion but like you said, they can easily google it and if I attach a reward to it then it is no longer fair cause there is no way to make sure someone isn't cheating.

The duality of this song is just another thing that makes it such a great closer to the blurryface album.

So far I’m an 6:31 so I don’t know if he has said this already but in the bible it says something about the devil being disguised as a white dove so that could be a symbol for that

Great quote
Oh, my! I love your inspirational quotes hahahaha. Also this isn't my account, this is my father's 😂
lyrics: levitate- twenty one pilots
Yesss thank you father
Also good quote
the fox theatre version is from their Blurryface Live concert movie which is why there's so many and it's not so much that the game is too easy but we all have the lyrics memorized so we know it right away. like for me, i read the first couple of words and my brain automatically supplies the music from the song it's from. speaking of, the song lyrics you did was from levitate :)
Lol pretty soon all I'll be able to put is "The" and see if you guys can still guess it cause ya'll are too good
Finally reaction for live song😍😍😍😊
I kinda wish you would have reacted to the music video too because it's kinda emotional lol but regardless, great job!! I've been benching all your TOP reaction songs in order!!! I love your interpretations!!!
The song for the lyrics is levitate. It took me a second to get it. Great reaction. You should do truce. 👍
Thank you!
I just wrote that one down :)
I wonder if Josh is ever like "Yo Tyler maybe just let someone else handle this aspect of it" haha
Thanks for the insight!
@@suffireax I found the video! It's only 4 min 30 sec, when you have time. They discuss the lighting in the first half, then on to some fan interviews. Here is the link: th-cam.com/video/Rh9i_LyqSIc/w-d-xo.html
Enjoy!
Also lyric name is levitate I believe
Now react to Holding onto you Live at Fox Theater DO IT!
5:00 I smiled when you said this is a slow song, because ik what's coming for you next bruh!
Lol
The white bird inside the cage probably it Tyler's self inside of him. I mean it was his thoughts that he cannot express. Co'z most people when they hear someone with mental health issue think they are insane or just makin' up things. When he created music with his lyrics its like an expression of his freedom of his caged emotions and thoughts. Then those flew away from inside his mind.
That was awesome! 7:12 He surprised you didn't he Danny, he surprised me too. 😄
"I'm inside out, you're underneath", I think he was not in a good stage and God is underneath holding him up. Cuz I know when I'm in the worst of life, I feel like I've turned inside out, don't know if I'm correct. ✌
Ohhhh interesting. I hadn't thought of it that way but that makes sense!
And yes he definitely caught me off guard haha
The lyrics is levitate!
I interpret the inside outline him talking to blurryface saying that he's inside out and blurryface is underneath
The lyric is from levitate
Correct!
Oh that makes a lot of sense actually
"It's a very slow song… 😳" 😁 Another great reaction.
Will we ever know what you're hiding under your cap? 🤔 You're not bald, are you? 😉
Lol
Maybe perhaps one day haha but I promise i'm not bald. Quarantine has produced quite the head of hair.
@@suffireax Teaser! 😝 Quarantine overgrowth sounds cute. 😄
White dove is a symbol for the Holy Ghost ☺️
I still think it's too easy... But you do you! Lol!
Lol Thank you for the feedback!
The music video is maybe my favourite music video ever. You should definetly check it out!!
should react to Friend, Please by Twenty One Pilots! and the end lyric is from Levitate! i say do 50/50. sometimes do one line. other times do two lines!
I'll check it out!
And you are correct.
Thank you for the suggestion!
The Song is from levitate by twenty one pilots
Ps. Too easy
Good to know haha
"I wanna be known by you"...that's someone who thinks they aren't connecting with people.
Levitate is the song.
Can you do a reaction to the song "Fall Away" the live version with Dr. Blum from Mister Wives. Dr. Blum is a trumpet player I think you will like him 😀
Levitate!
(I honestly don't know if it's too easy because it is or because I've gone so far down the TOP rabbit hole, lol.)
Haha probably a good bit of both
you should listen to the studio version - react to their albums!!! you should start with blurry face then do trench since they’re both concept albums the songs make a lot more sense when listened to in the full project!
Go back and watch that two minute video.....that was the original and this is the Blurryface version.....❤️🖤❤️ levitate ✌️
Any IDEA wich behind all things is a Goner
To notice to realize the lyrics also sounds like it corolates as if description of the meaning of God, and I'm about the MEANING as if the meaning is always within and without of all things and the Blur is but motion in between as what simulates the extension of within and without meaning as a whole, which happen between the inside in and insideout meaning of Rhythmic Balanced Interchange.
Losing the meaning is sad.
Just a thought
Levitate ✌
And yeah, the Clique is...
Pretty dedicated.
Fun fact when tyler gets loud josh plays his drums harder
Top- leveiate
another song that you should also react to Kitchen Sink by Twenty One Pilots! i LOVE this song!
Yes I have been wanting to do that one for a while but the problem is that song in particular gets blocked the second it is uploaded. So I think that may be an IGTV song only.
@@suffireax ah i see. that sucks. hopefully you can get the video up!
Slow song, right ? 😁 Love your reactions
I will do that.
And yes Levitate is correct!
I have not done Guns for Hands yet but it is on my shortlist
...this song doesn’t make me cry at allllllll...... ok yes it does
For me it is referens for the girl i love becaus when i am clos to here she takes away my deamons. But she is far away right now :'(
React to "The Judge" please 😊😊😊
Levitate
So, you spoke too soon! It’s always interesting to see peoples’ reaction when it changes.
Thanks for the reaction! It means a lot to me…
I did lol it was such a great and powerful ending to the song, I have listened to it many times since. I love the scream at the end.
And you are welcome, I am glad you liked it :)
Suffi Reax I’m glad you liked it, too!
Levitate!!
Please react to the normal Version of it, its very great
the ghost of you= holy ghost?
Do levitate or not today
levitate TOP
Thanks for the aphorism. Yeah, he needs God (or someone else) to help him to get rid of Blurryface. The song might be simple but the way it is presented, gives it life. *TOP never seizes to amaze.
I totally agree, he takes a simple idea, song, message, etc and paints it in a new light with new words, depictions, and music
@@suffireax Yeah and he was very young when he wrote Goner. Like 17 or something.
Is the "ghost in you (God)".....is it the holy ghost?
Mmmm perhaps?
You remind me or edward norton from fight club lol
I have gotten that a few times lol
Lyric challenge: Levitate!
I am noticing that lol you guys are experts at these lyrics!
The Judge is on my list :)
Not to spoil the fun, but... anyone can "guess" lyrics with Google.
...and to continue that thought...
