I just ordered the Ultra E 1516 ovation from Sweetwater, I'm 68 years old and back in 1978 I bought a Ovation Custom Balladeer, Started playing when I was 12 years old and had owned many many guitars but when I first picked up and played the Custom Balladeer I saw in a guitar store in Colorado Springs I was blown away by its sound and beauty.
I loved that guitar, It truly did everything and sounded absolutely amazing whether you were plugged into and amplifier or not . Unfortunately someone stole it, I had paid $1500 for it back then and $130 for the case, I just never had the money to replace it, well last night I was finally able to purchase and renew a long lost love affair you might say.
For one thing I'm absolutely thrilled that ovation guitars are still in business and have been given once again the chance to bring that same experience I had back in 78" to the future generations who have not yet discovered a sound to die for.
Once you hold it in your arms and began to play, it's like a long lost Mistress whispering into your very soul, that's where great music begins, in your soul.
Stay blessed everyone, and may every note you play linger like a whisper in the wind.

I bought an Ovation Artist Electric model in 1970. GREAT guitar, I love it. It's been all over the world with me. I'm gonna leave to someone in my will.

I would live to take a tour of the factory and watch them build one. Glad to see it's opened and carried on

Good to see Mr. Cronin getting the recognition he deserves. He's my favorite member of REO Speedwagon by far

I own four Ovations and the only reason is.... Kevin Cronin. They are simply superb!

"I want to win an Ovation"
I made a song on a regular guitar and it looks like this:
I do not play well my love, because I do not have an Ovation guitar, if it were it would be like this:
    "Ovation, Ovation, I love you."
    > I live in Brazil, my dream is to have a nylon Ovation.

If acoustic sound quality were no issue, Ovation guitars would be owned by every player on the planet. But, no serious AI sound emulation engineers are working to fix the Ovation quack. You would think Ovation could beat the pants off of Fender acoustisonics in emulation of real wood guitars. The possibilities are emmense. Imagine all the hundreds of expensive wood guitars both vintage and modern that cover such a wide range of different tones, timbres, and sounds. I wonder if the industry is dropping the ball in favor of electric solidbody guitars.

Imagine that. Eastman Chineese luthiers carving out wood guitars while American luthiers are molding plastic guitars. Just saying.
