One time when I had gone to Disneyland with some friends when it was raining,I had accidentally slipped on one of the rides ,and had broken my wrist in there places as well as breaking one of my ankles in four places. As I had tried to get up, the workers had already radioed for an ambulance to come get me after I had realized that I had caused some serious damages. Before I had reached the front gate, one of the workers had handed me six free passes with a nice looking floral arrangement with a promise that Disneyland would cover all of the hospital expenses.
Ouch that sucks. Hopefully your doing better and next time you don’t break your wrist.

Keira Choc not really. They are there to make sure that guests aren’t shoplifting or doing anything else. They have these kinds of workers in other places as well. My uncle worked in loss prevention and it’s apparently not very fun.

Also, I believe that they meant character masks; Disney doesn't want kids to confuse random people for employees. Having children confuse random park patrons for Disney employees, only to have, God forbid, something happen to the child, would make Disney look bad.

Really? I didn't see a single one at any of the Orlando parks a month ago. You had to go to sit down establishments to get small cups of ice water. Universal on the other hand had several refill water stations. Oh and I could smoke there.

I've heard a story that a cast member got mad at some guests who got out of their log on splash mountain because it was taking on water. The back was literally fully submerged. I would get out too
When I was a kid they hadn’t quite come out with the heelys version with just the wheel in back. I had shoes that looked a lot like vans but with skates, like 2 tiny sets of 2 wheels that clicked into the soles and had PUSH BUTTONS to click them out. They were super unsafe depending on the surface you were on but they were really freaking cool, at least I thought so.

Spreading ashes is sadly a very common thing (I actually know at least one person who has witnessed another guest do this very thing some years ago), there's even a "code" for it whenever it happens, it's often handled very carefully as it's a very sensitive situation, and interestingly enough, I believe there is specialized cast members specifically trained to handle this very specific "violation".
That makes sense as it is their loved ones remains and Disney doesnt usually like to egregiously offend mourning people. I do wonder if they think that their ashes will remain there. Perhaps people could simply take one of those jewelry urns on a few rides instead of trying to dump the ashes out. Like look grandma we took you on your favorite ride and will do so again on our next visit.

Sometimes I wonder if Disneyland stopped the Haunted mansion ride twice just because somebody was taking Flash Photography (it also could have been a handicapped person)
On the other hand, I was in the Disneyland Haunted mansion, just past the Stretching Room, in the Portrait Hall, when a random guest pranked his girlfriend (and everybody else) by screaming. (I honestly thought it was part of the ride it was my first time there) His girlfriend ended up slapping him, but goodness gracious, I hope he didn't get himself kicked out.

I definitely appreciate them banning smoking. I always dreaded going to the service dog relief areas because it would be right next to the smokers and it was pretty much guaranteed any time my dog needed to P or poop I’d have an asthma attack. 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
Last time I went there was a lady with her cocker spaniel who I could’ve sworn I’d seen before when I had my previous service Dog.
Several times her dog barked and lunged towards us right in front of cast members. They apologized profusely to me and my dog and all I could say was “eh, it happens. We’re used to it.”
It definitely felt like they’ve seen that dog do this plenty of times before. 🤷🏻♀️
I’ve definitely seen plenty of furry friends that should not have been in the park.
I wish they just moved smoking areas into properly filtered-ventilated rooms, but they didn't want to spend the money. Now my 60 year-old mother who simply will never quit smoking would have to travel a ridiculous distance just for one cigarette, and considering her age, that's not feasible. Now, she will basically never get to experience a Disney park.

about the sneaking on rides one, me and my family were waiting for big thunder mountain and this guy and his 10 year old kid were in the fast pass lane. the 10 year old daughter was nervous for some reason and seemed to be scared and what happened is the guy pretended he scanned his wrist band and bolted it though the fast pass lane. He was grabbing onto his kid because she didn’t want to cut the line 😂

A few years ago I was with a huge group. (we fit the entire big thunder mountain car perfectly) We all had magic bands but about 3 of us didn’t reserve haunted mansion. Since our group was so massive we just went through the gate in a huge cluster and the three people that didn’t have the fast pass just snuck through. I was like 9 at the time and since I didn’t have the pass I felt like I was in a bank robbery or something.

I’ve been backstage because I was preforming and OMG were the rules strict! Our group had to walk in a specific line to get to our dressing room.
When I was a kid….a friend and I decided to rock the boats in Pirates…….little did we know, even back in the late 80’s, that they had cameras and they stopped the ride. We were told to stop but not kicked out.

There's a loophole to the no costumes rule that adults often take advantage of: Disney bounding! Whatever you wear *has* to be able to pass as an outfit you'd wear anywhere else, but this means you can create outfits heavily inspired by certain characters.

I guess it depends on how you define “harass.” If a guest is hurling abuse and making unreasonable demands, perhaps they need someone to defuse the situation. If they physically attack an employee, then yeah, I’d say permanently ban them. But if it’s just criticism, then I don’t think a guest deserves banishment. I recently got back from the parks in Orlando, and while I didn’t have any personal beef with any cast member, it seemed like many were very miserable and colder than usual. Very few were cheerful, let alone seemed like they wanted to be there. If a guest said something to them about their morose attitude, I wouldn’t blame them.
I actually ran into one of the reasons why adults can't cosplay at Disney parks! In a facebook group we were discussing cosplay, and one woman who HATED kids also said she liked doing photoshoots in her Disney Princess costume, at the local Disney Store. OK, fine. But here's the rub- she hated kids and felt it was totally cool to be rude to any who approached her, even if they only said hi or asked for a photo.
That right there is a big part of it. Disney doesn't want to deal with untrained adults who think it's cool to dress up as Cinderella and swear at children, or otherwise behave inappropriately. (People disguised as cast members with sinister intentions are another part, but badly behaved costumed guests causing confusion is a biggie)
Its for the best I suppose, who knows what people are up to.
I will say this though, as someone who actually did attempt it, my sister and I did Sora and Roxas, and made it stupidly clear that no we are not cast members to everyone that approached us. No autographs or photos either, in a nice polite tone. They didn't kick us out, but told us ditch the costume. Still not sure why they let us in though.
I used a fastpass line when I didn't have a fastpass, but I was leaving. Splash Mountain was temporarily closed due to lightning in the area while I was in line, but I was next to a gate that divided the two lines. I went through the gate and left.

Another thing that can get you kicked out: if you are part of a group (Like a band or choir) and you’re performing at Disney, you’re not allowed to have cameras or phones backstage. Disney confiscates them until you’re done!
Yup. I can confirm this is true! Over a year ago I went for Choir Candelight and I was an honorary cast member and they do not like that.
This must be just Disney world because I’ve performed at Disney Land numerous times with the Marine Corps Band and they definitely did not take our phones.
this one time i was on pirates of the Caribbean, and it shut down. i had to go backstage. there were ALL the floats it was so cool. i recorded it until a cast member told me to stop.

I got too march at mainstreet Disney in Magic Kingdom and it was a cool experience going behind the scenes. Way more vast that I would’ve imagined. Glad I got to experience something that few get to do

I honestly don't understand why people can't be on their best behavior in the Parks. We're all there to have fun, enjoy and walk away filled with happy memories - why would you be selfish enough to disrupt others enjoyment and run the risk of being kicked out?
Worst behavior we've witnessed was in Paris when a fight broke out at the Halloween party, Disney was quick to react and disperse but honestly, leave your mess, first world issues and ego at the gate or don't come in... none of us are there for reality, we're there for the dream. Be part of the solution not a cause of the problem.
People are incredibly selfish. I was at a play last night - the two guys sitting on the one side of me were gabbing away the entire time. Why would anyone spend the money, time and energy to go to an event or particular place, only to not pay any attention and ruin the experience for others? It happens all the time.

Issues rise higher in summer due to a combination of high heat and massive crowds. Also add easily accessible alcohol at Disney World into the mix and you got potential for the nicest guy to become worst dad of the century for those kids.
I’m not sure if you haven’t met many people, but people in general are pretty freakin’ awful. Work one day in any customer service job and you’ll never be surprised at peoples behavior again.

I honestly love the fact that they finally banned smoking. You should never smoke around young children no matter where you are. Wait until you are with adults who can consent to inhaling your gross secondhand smoke. Children should never be subject to secondhand smoke.
Instead of banning it (causing people to look at the 30 minute walk to the entrance and say "fk it" and light one up right there), they should have properly air-filtered low-pressure separate enclosed rooms, out of the way and out of sight of normal traffic. Not a single whiff should make it to children unless they intentionally enter the room, at which point they would be escorted out.
Banning usually causes more problems than improved accomodation.

I can't believe heelies are still trendy among pre-teens, I remember how popular those were when I was in middle school (over a decade ago), I didn't know they still existed.
Also the majority of these are just common sense, like the no shoplifting or setting off fireworks.
I can’t believe they still make them! Within weeks of them being on the market my elementary school had them banned from campus. You could wear the shoe if the wheel was out, but you would still get looks from a bunch of teachers.

I wasn't really paying attention to the 7th graders when i was in 8th grade (they're more into trends) and haven't been in middle school for 2 years (i guess if you count 2 school years because im a softmore now) so i wouldn't know. I also don't know trends unless they're very popular on the internet.
