I still see so many of that generation on the road today. That goes to show you how well those cars were made
My 2003 es300 has been great since I’ve had it. No complaints
I have a older friend, who was looking for a car so I went to do test drives for him, and the ride on these is heavenly, the mirrors even tilt down when you put the car in reverse… Wanted to buy this car myself
03 ES300 owner here. Just hit 280K miles and still running strong. Hell, oil still looks pretty clean after 3K miles. This is hands downl the most reliable car I’ve ever owned or even driven. More reliable than any friend or family members’ cars… regular maintenance is the key. Having a garage to park in most of its life doesn’t hurt much either 😉
The silver model with black interior, which I own, will never go out of style. Also last ES with amazing interior quality.
I got me an ‘02 ES300 with 134k miles, as well an ‘02 LS430 with 65k miles. They’re a joy to drive, I love them both equally.
I have one and it is the best decision I've ever made as far as buying a used car.
I love it.
Here in 2024, I have an 03 ES300 with 205xxx miles. And for a 21 year old car with over 200k. It's still buttery smooth and well assembled. This car is so good I really don't want to upgrade
Anybody else amazed by the composure under braking? Lots of dive, yes, but then the car settles back, and...that's it. No back and forth, no up and down, just one wave of response, then back to level. Very impressive damping.
Very impressive considering how soft and pillowy the suspension is. It’s perfect all around !
4th Gen ES from 02-06 is the best Gen ever. 2nd to the LS430. Bought my one owner in April 2021 w 160k miles. Now have 179k miles and it’s a quiet as new. No creaks or rattles. Level of quality and craftsmanship is unparalleled. Within the first two years I did have to replace some original OEM parts. Timing belt, valve cover gasket and water pump all Replaced at 88K miles. Original owner had all service done at a Lexus dealership.
my 02 es300 still drives great, even 290k miles on odo 😂😂 lexus/toyota has no joke! they last forever
preferred the looks of the previous generation
Agreed. The previous gen had a more handsome, Euro look. This generation is when Lexus ES basically became a Japanese Buick..
Really? The previous 97 car was bland. The 02 bought some much needed style!
@@hakeemsd70m said no one ever, u got bad taste in cars. U probably think the electric mustang looks better than the coupe mustangs
22 years old now 🥂
Great car, this was true entry level luxury where it was dead quiet inside with the smooth Toyota V6.
Timeless design
Honestly ya! It doesn’t look super new but that design would look fine up to 2010
The perfect grandma car. Reliable luxury at its best!
The best Buick GM never built. This car was and still is unbeatable at its intended purpose.
had one of these and by god it was nice to drive. Comfort above all else and the interior quality was pretty good.
Own 06 es love it
Thanks
The model before this was much better looking
Even though it's based on the Toyota Camry, and I❤ em, solid and long lasting.
The exterior is...... Alright. The interior.... NEAR PERFECTION. Simple clean timeless design in the interior.
I love mine ❤️❤️✊🏾
This was my wife's first car used back in 2008. We still have it as a daily driver - it is insanely reliable and comfortable
Very very reliable, a bit to reliabile. They don't make them like this anymore. Rare find. I have one, 2006 es330 runs like new 200k+ miles.
SCOTTY COME THRU
amazing
Two years ago I fell into some extra cash. I was planning on selling my current car a just pay cash for an older vehicle for the time being. Test drove two different model years of this generation at two different Stealerships 2005 & 2006. Both were nice but both had overhead during my Test drive. I did read some model years having that issue . Have a extra co worker of mine that still owns hers and has never had any major issues. My favorites generation of the ES are the 1992, 1997 and brand new 2020.
Hey it’s my car
❤
Im mulling over the 330 used, as well as a later es350... hoping to sell my new corolla for one of these!
3.5 V6 is more efficient and has better power compared to the old 3.3 and 3.0 engines
Can you do a video of the 2006 Toyota Avalon XLS
Good car, an expensive, fancy Toyota Camry.
😂😂the way i drive this car is like a nascar driver n it’s still running smoothly n nice
I think the previous and after generations were better looking, but i see these every day here in the Northeast where winter and salt kills cars. These are tanks.
Everyone talks about how great and reliable these cars are, but what I can't find out is how are these cars in the snow??? No one ever talks about the FWD Camry, Avalon, ES models and how they perform in the snow with all season tires.
They perform like any other TWD vehicle in the snow in FWD I had a 2011 model with a 4-cyl and it did well… Just keep a small shovel, scraper , Just don’t expect Subaru performance
My car lol
Wow doesn't sound like their best version.
Lexus
Dude, you stole my car...
Most boring car I've ever driven
@@RetroCarReviews it’s boring like any other car in its segment but good intake sounds and very torquey engine
And its so smooth I think even smoother than the LS430
and for 5K or something its a very good choice
@@mez6256 If you want kicks go buy a Porsche ....but this car will last practically forever and be easy on the wallet
These cars are luxurious and super reliable. You can't go wrong with a Lexus ES.
I bought one several days ago and I've already had to replace the battery, I'm going to have to replace the starter. It's idling high
@@tracylove8177it's used and 20 years old. Always have a mechanic check it out
