Picked this up on launch and was blown away by how lush it sounds.

What the hell, I didn't know you could play techniques together by pressing shift lol. It works with other plugins like Abby Road One too. Thanks so much for the tip!

Ohhh so THATS how you merge them, lmao I just thought it couldn’t be done. The SINE Player is still heaps better for that tho

I made my next project in one night after getting this library. Piano and strings. Using exclusively Appassionata. 🙏🏾

Hi Pete: not sure the loyalty discount is available beyond the introductory period (ends Feb 10th). I wish it did! Here's what the Spitfire page says "LIMITED TIME OFFER
Owners of Spitfire Symphonic Strings, Symphonic Motions, Symphonic Evolutions or Chamber Strings save 35% on RRP during the introductory pricing period. Ensure you are logged in to view your special price."

Thanks for the clarification :D Also I was way off with the "Intimate Strings" loyalty! That must have been for something else!

@@misterpete1928 that discount is with respect to Symphonic Motion Strings. If you have Intimate Strings you get a discount on Symphonic Motion Strings.

Hi everyone. I am wondering if the Appassionata strings can play well when it comes to the music being polyphonic, for instance, playing chords? I looked at studio strings which is also from spitfire, and in the videos about studio strings, it shows how good it is when playing polyphonic music. I am wondering if Appassionata is the same? And which one of the two is better when it comes to polyphonic music. Thanks in advance.

The answer in the short form is no. As a performer patch it can't do chords. But if you did the midi separately in different instances you could pull it off.

@@WinItReigns Thanks for the reply. Does studio strings do that? Are you able to do that with studio strings, from spitfire?

@@darklight2491 Yes. And I use it alot. Studio Strings And Studio Solo are my core group. Then I blend in Appasionata, and Dan Keens Soft Strings. I get additional intensity and vibtance from LCO Strings, frozen strings anf Fragile Strings, plus all the LABS strings.
I slowly accumulated all these Spitfire Libraries over the last 2 years, taking alot of time to really research what I thought would make my vision come true. I always bought everything on Sales.
I Pray you the Best on your music journey and I hope you acquire everything you need to command your own vision.
      God Bless

@@WinItReigns Thank you very much and thank you for your prayers. I'll look into buying studio strings in the future for that purpose. Having said that, appassionata strings so far has served me well. God bless xxx

@@WinItReigns Hi there again. So I wanted to be able to access strings such as cello polyphonically, and could not do so with Appassionata strings. You kindly advised me that studio strings can do that, and I was about to buy it until I came across 'Original Intimate Strings' which is not only very affordable but blew my mind, and made me think I could do with that for a while, when it comes to polyphonic strings music. However, in the future I thought about getting either studio strings or studio solo, which you spoke of, for the purpose of getting different stringed instruments and using them polyphonically, such as with chords etc. With 'Original Intimate Strings,' while they sound great, I don't think you can choose the actual instruments themselves, there are just different presets and sounds of 'strings.' What is your advice? Should I go for studio strings, or studio solo? Many thanks and God bless xxx

    Million Dollar Question.
How does This Library hold up to ARO?

Abbey Road is the flagship series of Spifire, and it's the most realistic of them. It's also the most expensive. Spitfire did actually a comparison video of their string libraries, where they explain the differences. Appassionata is a middle-ground library. Better than the non-specific libraries, but not quite up there with Abbey Road.
