Yess. Paint doesn't matter. The only thing matter is engine and stability.
I drove it and I would say it is the best car I ever drove, perfect acceleration, smooth drive, almost no cabin noise, premium look..

A complete and full review on a specific car would be very helfpul to viewers. Example Vitz first generation or series. Then 2nd generation.... all generation or series till 2019.

Review of Toyota Premio 2005-2007 would be appreciated.
So I recently bought a Honda cl8 4wd from a friend who imported it back in 2009, drove mark's and many other luxury cars, but man this car is just superb. No cabin noise, ac is superb, suspension is outclass, super quick, transmission is real good though. Highly recommended for car enthusiasts.

It's true that we should give attention to mechanical issues while buying a car but the fact that people prioritize paint of the car is because, if a car is accidented and re-painted there is no guarantee how well or how cheaply it has been repaired. ( denting work, rust proofing, frame stability)
