Welcome to our today’s video. In this video we are going to demonstrate the application of OMEGA Butyl Tape on automobile door panels.
The use of OMEGA Brand Butyl tapes in between the metal surface of the door and a thin plastic or foam based vapour-barrier sheet, prevents dust and moisture to enter the door panels of your cars.
OMEGA butyl tape is versatile, rubbery, high-tack, pliable, butyl rubber compound and it is very easy to work with on sharp corners and curves. This saves the workers’ precious time and substantially increases the production efficiency.
OMEGA butyl tapes are designed to work under very high and low temperature ranges. It does not flow at high temperature and does not crack or become brittle at low temperatures.

How to Replace your Car Vapour Barrier
Video tutorial on how to replace the butyl tape on your vehicles door. Butyl tape is a non hardening sealant which seals and holds on your door’s vapour barrier into place. Over time dust or dirt can become embedded into the surface either from age or constantly removing the vapour barrier. The vapour barrier then no longer holds into place. if the panel no longer sticks into place, when it rains the door will leak and water will migrate into the vehicle’s interior. Obviously this can cause many more issues if not addresses such as damaging interior trim, mould, rust, affecting electronics, etc.
