He's a MONSTER! And he will be in the NFL, too. His vision is amazing. Hands amazing. Contact balance unlike anything I've ever seen. But the thing i think will make the biggest difference in the NFL is that he almost never takes a loss and gets another 2+ yards after he's his basically every single time, even if he doesn't break the tackle.
🔥🔥🔥 - I'm just glad this kid is finally getting the recognition he rightfully deserves! IMO, If he had played on a BIG10 or SEC team...the media would have been glazing on this kid a long time ago.
As someone who isn’t an expert on RB play, but who has watched every one of Skattebo’s games in the last two years, you did a great job of breaking down his play and it was very refreshing to watch. So many pundits are saying he’s a powerful brutal runner who just runs people over, and he can definitely do that. But his contact balance, vision, and football IQ are absurdly good. The 4th and 2 pass against Texas was an audible, he was supposed to pass it short to Leavitt and went deep instead. Dillingham said this in an interview. He sees openings down the field and forces people to tackle well by initiating contact. I wouldn’t be surprised if he goes 3rd round but I also expect him to make an impact on whichever team gets him.
😎Skattebou is great🥳 People should also check out the highlight videos of South Dakota running back Travis Theis🙂 Theis is going to be a great running back in the NFL
JC: He needs to show out at the Combine to make up for his mouth’s terrible performance in interviews. I suggest watching Kalen Ballage’s interview after he set the NCAA record with 8 TDs in the shootout between ASU and a Mahomes-led TTU. 😅 I was at that game with my Dad, and I remember turning to him and saying: “This Mahomes kid can scramble and still chuck missiles! He is torching us!” 😂😂😂. Just FF it to the 9 min mark and watch how cool and humble the Kid is! This would have improved Cam’s Draft stock for sure. Nobody on any NFL team wants to hear a kid boast about being the BEST RB in College Football, and watch him get his team 15 after a TD because he stopped to showboat by signing an autograph 😮
Look... Not denying he is a good athlete. He is... But is he a great RB? With the offense they are using and the defense (DIME) you show in the first clip of this video.. HELL NO!!! Its litterly 7 on 4... 7 offensive line vs 3 D linemen one linebacker and one SS who is off to the left of the formation. If he is a linebacker he is LITTLE... Anywho my point is that you could plug any back on their roster into this specific scenario and if they did not get to the second level similar to Scattebo i would bench them for eternity! This is not a good example of his skill cuz there is no one there to stop him. This also highlights that they do not fear the rungame cuz they did nothing to shut it down. Looks like they are focused on the pass to me cuz no one is home homie! Any back in college football even IAA or division 2 could light that defense up!!! Not saying he is not good. But since they sit in shotgun 90% of the time and the defense is focused on the pass and not Scattebo he is a role player who played his role well. He is not superstar material. But the way they play football now... The young folks will think he is the next Barry Sanders or Marshall Faulk... He aint!!! He just a decent college athlete in non run focused era of football my guy. 15-20 years ago Scattebo plays fullback or is converted to defense. Cuz these guys now are not what running backs use to be. I dont watch him run and get excited about what he is doing. Its almost expected because the D is not focused on him.... He just took advantage of what he was given and there really isnt much resistance. This is NOT hard nose 8 men in the box stop these foos at all cost defense... This has to be said...
Given his playing style, I believe he will be successful in the NFL. He consistently dominated defenses throughout the year. While his ultimate success depends on him, everything I've seen on the field suggests he'll make some noise but we definitely will see. Thanks for tapping in with me!
You likely haven't watched many of his games. How many RB's have you seen this year spin out of tackles, regain his balance, gain 400 yards after contact, and cuts, like him? He and Jenty are special. Not even OSU or Georgia rushed over 100 yards against Texas. He ran 262 yards against Miss State which is 70 yards than Texas' whole team ran against them. And the defensive issues are a result of teams inability to adjust their schemes against him.

I hear you bro 😂 I'll def check that out
What round do you think he'll go?
They have him behind Jeanty and Omarion Hampton so possibly early round 2 at the highest
Yeah, great story but little slow for big league's...But a fan.
3rd. He's my favorite college player of 2024, but RBs are an undervalued position
