Kil'Jaeden: Destroy the Frozen Throne, or face my eternal wrath ! *Later, Arthas wins and Illidan fails* Illidan: Shit ! *Looks around, fearing Kil'Jaeden* *Nothing happens* Illidan: Oh, well *Go back to Outland to rule*
The first time seeing this scene was something else. Kil'jaeden being essentially The Devil in the wow universe at that time appearing as a giant emberstorm in the distance and then just instantly manifesting himself before Illidan was nutty. And also the fact that at anytime he could simply killed the Lich King himself if he so desired but why have underlings if they fail to do your bidding? He really fit the title of The Deceiver 🤯
Illidan was never some incredibly mighty, perfect, absolute badass. He was a fuck-up. Legion made him something he never was. And that was kind of disappointing. But Blizzard has never been consistent.
Well Illidan was gaining power to combat legion, because the legion wasn’t a normal force to be reckoned with. He was basically learning about all the secrets of the legion by working for them. And to be part of the legion you have to take in fel. While other were consumed by it. Illidan and his demon hunters learned to control it. I think it’s a big achievement.
You are absolutely right. The characters HAD DEPTH. Despite being obsessed with vengeance Kael was intensely loyal to his people. Illidan wasn't really that bad (okay i am probably a bit too disposed to like him) he is just likes magic. I especially don't understand why the forsaken would be a part of the horde. Also it sorta ruined the already pretty hard to discern culture of the Orc and Trolls as being rather benign (rather).
Yes they are. Sargeras made them like... his left hands(not litteraly). Kil'Jaeden also known as The Deciever was there to decieve all evil creatures into Sagreras's army to make his dark bidding, while Archimonde a.k.a. The Defieler led Sargeras's legions to destoy worlds... Oh, and they both eredar. So yeah, they are somewhat related.
Also they both (along with Prophet Velen) were brothers and ruling triumvirate over Eredar race (and their homeworld Argus) before the Legion came into their world.
@Cryp100 No, this is called the blood elf campaign. The elves that accompanied Kaelthas were blood elves, by name and by appearance. This is after the destruction of the sunwell.
Sargeras, the dark titan, ruled both kil`jaeden and his brother Archimonde, aswell as the whole legion. Bolvar has the ashbringer by his side, and Kil`jaeden got set back during his attempts to enter the world through the sunwell.
He wants to destroy him because the Lich King outgrew his usefulness and pissed off Kil'jaeden by betraying him. It's quite the opposite, actually. Lich King/Arthas is the one who fears Kil'jaeden.
Something I hadn't noticed before: Kil'jaeden has the same swirly storm thing going on in Sunwell Plateau in WoW, when he falls back through the portal. Nice bit of continuity for a change from Blizz. If only the characterization for Kael and Illidan was the same way. :\
@TheThieu95 Indeed. But since Sargeras's disappearance, Kil'Jaeden has been thinking about taking permanent leadership of the Burning Legion. I do believe he said so in the encounter of the Sunwell raid. It remains uncertain however.
Archimonde is stronger , Kil'jaedan is more the manipulative type that's why he works behind the scenes always and Archimonde leads the armies of the burning legion
@Anidem9 I don't know ,but we are definitely going to see him again in future. But like Archimonde , whenever he is summoned on Azeroth , they are actually almost unstoppable , so maybe alliance and horde have to combine their strength.
@Anidem9 Because Lich King didn't want to do what Kil'jaeden was saying to him. That is maybe also the reason why he wanted to be summoned in the Sunwell, to kill Lich King personally.
@derkaterhinze cos Eredar lords need to be summoned into the world if they wont to stay somewhere for longer time its like when Kel'thuzad needed the Book of Medivh to summon Archimonde to Azeroth, and beside that Kil'jaeden sends others to do dirty works for him while he monitors them from some Legion controlled world thats the difference between Archimonde and Kil'jaeden cos Archimonde is invasion commander and he comes to the doomed worlds while Kil'jeaden stays behind shadows
@moomoopowa i doubt it since sargeras is forever stuck between portals during the war of the acients sargeras was being teli to azeroth well the well of enturnity(sry for spelling) blew up and stop the summoning while sargeras was half way threw so he is stuck forever between to realms like what we did to kil jaden in BC expansion
If you think about it. Black temple is is shadowmoon valley. so thats how u could think. But there is no telling, it is red like which would make u think its hellfire. Theres no ledge like that in hellfire though, the one they r standing on
dragonknight022 the reason he wanted to touch the world tree was to drain its power and make himself a lot stronger. the reason wisps killed him though is archimond was summoned and when wisps detonate they hurt summoned units like archimond
@Anidem9 His power wasn't fully summoned on azeroth yet. And its a game mechanism , the new bosses are stronger than the old bosses. And you have to know , Kil'jaeden has never been on Azeroth and he caused already a lot of trouble on Azeroth for example: corrupted Illidan and Kael'thas , enslaved orcs my barely using power, created the scourge and the Lich King , enslaved a lot of dreadlords (which is lore-wisely really hard). this all by just deceiving/threaten them.
ner zuhl was the first lich king he was the trapped spirit of orc shamman and he got trapped in a solid chunk of ice hat was sent to azeroth and came down in northrend wich is now the frozen throne. the legion trapped him becuase they needed somebody to go into azeroth and start the plague of undeath, and if he did destroy azeroth the legion would give him a whole new body, but ner zuhl could not wait for all life on azeroth to die so he sent tellipathic messages to the most powerful heros alive
@Jebestevriend Wow... So theres's a possibility, or rather very likely that in future WoW expansions they're going to have Kil'Jaeden and all his powers fully summoned to Azeroth?
@dShando1 Because Kil'Jaeden cannot enter Azeroth and destroy it himself. He must be summoned like Archimonde was, so he relies on minions and other commanders to do it for him.

The cursed WoW, however, replaced the Black Citadel with the Hellfire Citadel. Magtheridon's (former) base was changed to the Black Temple, which is in the Shadowmoon Valley. It was all part of Blizzard's plan.
Alex Marcy You sir just made my day.
Well Now we know Black Temple was also merely a setback for illidan.
It is so extremely creepy when you play this in-game in fullscreen and see Kil'Jaeden peeking at Vashj and Kael. I don't know, it just freaks me out.

Not a phone in sight. Just everyone living in the moment.
Anyone else here after Kil'jaedans official death?
Just goes to show how terrible WoW's story has become. A peasant like Illidan is able to exchange blows with Kil'jaeden lol....
