At that point it's almost confirmed that EOW is gonna be the perfect mix between the traditional classic Zelda formula and the more " modern " Zelda games like BOTW / TOTK. And I'm all for it ! 🙏 I missed classic Zelda !
10:05 the five colored things on the wall had me worried cause it looks like something you'd activate terminals in order to open. But the sight of the big key chest does fill me with some relief. Plus even traditional Zelda games have had some form of "do x amount of thing to open the way" like knocking down the four pillars in Eagle Tower or ALBW's Dark Palace having the four eyeballs you need to shine light on.
The room with evil Link is the same room where Zelda gets the sword. The big morse code stone in the back moves over to reveal a hidden passage. It's the same sword.
The scene with possessed Link has the same environment/background as the scene where Zelda picks up the sword. I am guessing you might have to fight Link to obtain the sword abilities.
@@harknerd1775 I was just coming here to point that out, too! I was wondering why the sword Zelda picks up is similar, but different to Link's sword in the first trailer. In the first trailer, both sides of the hilt are swirled, but in this one only one is while the other looks damaged. Maybe it breaks in the confrontation and whatever is possessing Link flees leaving the broken sword behind?
One thing i like that no one seems to acknowledge is that this game has 360 movement. The fixed direction movement of links awakening really irritated me
What if Zelda Echoes of Wisdom is what really happened in the timeline? What if when Link wasn't conscious in the Still World, he was asleep...creating Link's Awakening?
Link is playable, he is what's controlling her during the sword form, they just haven't spoiled that yet. His spirit is left in the blade, which is why you even turn into him. I would not be surprised if the more you level up his sprit, the more the form will look like him. This is just a reverse spirit tracks.
I don't know if anyone else has brought up this idea. If so I haven't seen it yet. But what if Tri is the actual "Big Bad" ? Like it seems that the rifts are chill at first. But what if it ends up that the more you learn and use the Tri Rod, that's what is causing the rifts to grow? I dunno it's fun to theorize a bit. And Im still not convinced that Ganon is the final baddie. Just an idea I can't get out of my head...lol
This game is looking better and better the more we see even though I wish I didn’t know some of this. The only sticking point left is, will you be able to cheese the dungeons or not. That is the big thing people keep skipping over and it’s the most important thing. This game is either going to be one of the most special Zelda games ever a huge waste of potential.
Andre, I’ve been watching your content for awhile now, and have watched you grow. This was really interesting/entertaining, and I think you offered a good analysis. You should keep doing videos like this-this is the first of it’s type that I can recollect watching.
Everyone comparing this to Botw or Totk needs to sit down. Yes thematically and menu wise they share a style, but that's it. This is a 2D zelda game, which will use the classic zelda tropes. And thank god for that, if I had to play another ubisoft open world clone with zelda characters sprinkled in I'd jump off a bridge.
Seeing Volvagia returning alongside different aspects from different games, makes me think about the split timeline and all realities colliding, which is what’s causing those rifts. If this is the case, we could get the game that coalesces the timelines back into one. That will honestly be amazing if true.
The game looks fantastic. I expected that Nintendo wasn’t done with the Link’s Awakening style/engine but I honestly expected Oracle remakes. This is way more ambitious and I’m pumped.
@@skullkid7989 I think Malon will also appear because we have horses and the ranch. Dampe is our first appearance of a returning minor character so before him it was more debatable if we would get Malon and Talon.
I dunno... Dampe being a blacksmith of sorts kinda skeevs me out. I think they brought him back because he was an asset from Link's Awakening. Though, I do sincerely hope for OoT Remake
If I had to take a guess at the story: I don't think its a coincidence that the Rifts only started appearing when all three Tri-Force piece holders were in one place. Sure, it could've just been a coincidence at first, but then the next point in time we KNOW more rifts open just so happens to be where Zelda is, again, where the King has to push Zelda away so she isn't taken. I think whatever is the true villain of the game is actively trying to reuinite the triforce by luring the holders into the Still World, possibly to restore it. It'd be cool if we got a brand new villain, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was just a Ganondorf or even Vaati (Vaati would be sick to see return). I think it would actually be a neat idea if the Queen of Hyrule was actually the antagonist, since we see the castle is the Still World appears to be a focal point.
Funny enough, I was telling my wife about how excited I was for this game, but was bummed to not see a snow area. That was last night. This morning I woke up and that 0.5 second clip of zelda in the snow got me so excited. I was like, no way did I just speak that into existence!? Snow areas in zelda games are my fav. Especially in twilight princess.
I think those blobs are the still world lynels and any other still world enemies and can change into different enemies during a fight or something like that!
How broken The Still is, and its purple atmosphere really make me think of Lorule! The whole point could be regaining a triforce, as it was in link between worlds
Great analysis video, there’s so much in that trailer making the prospects of this game even more exciting. The Lynel looks so awesome and I love how Zelda can leap out of the water, as when she catches the fairy and that scene where she is tree hopping is so ninja/Sheikah like. I think EOW will be great!
I definitely agree with you Andre!! I think this game is a hybrid. Meant to attract the old school Zelda fans while also gaining and keeping the newer fans
I'm thinking you will hsve to fight link to get sword mode... because that place where you find the sword looks like where link attacts you. I'm also thinking you will have to fight links multiple times to get more swordmode levels...
The hebra region is just dearh mountain from a lunk to rhe past. Indont know why people are ao inaistent on renamijg rhat mountain when the new mountain is obly referred to as Eldin Volacano.
Im going to be so annoyed if the performance sucks on the Switch and I wont buy it. If this is the case, I hope it is ported to the next Switch. And it better run at at least 1080p/60fps "docked".
PAX West demos for the game making the rounds online now I am not watching any of them... i know too much already, especially after this new trailer and analysis...

For about 2 decades now, I've been opposed to considering any type of expectation 'confirmed' before a game is released and played.

Now Lionels can be terrifying and adorable at the same time! 😂

Or maybe just hold him off until he disappears
@christophermitchell8351
It's gotta be an early encounter so i don't expect a full fight just yet
poop
Yeah it is!! Zeltik and other TH-camrs were able to play the game for 80 minutes and beat that whole dungeon. Link is the mini boss
Switch is on its last year and still pumping out amazing top teir games...cant wait to see what year one and two of switch 2 looks like

My theory is, you’ll have to collect something, so you can use it for the fairies to upgrade your level
I imagine that the final ability is camera mode, with the image of Zelda shivering in the snow being an example.
The box is too tall for her to jump on which would be one reason for the bed, the other is because it’s longer.
Great video as usual! Got a giggle out of "His lava erupting powers" too. 🤭

Hi Andres. I love watching your analysis videos! You always find details that no one else has noticed yet. Can’t wait for this game.

You don't ever need to "confirm" dungeons in a new Zelda game. Every single Zelda game has had a dungeon from the very beginning.
9:50 if you look in the top right you can see Zelda's using the wind god from wind waker

Why is Zelda left handed with a sword? Is she simply mimicing Link with the Swordfighter form?
