Merry Christmas. My water lines froze 4 days ago in north central Missouri. My Christmas present this year was they started dripping this afternoon and now I have water again. Yay!!!

I think if you defrost your steaks overnight and then grill them you will find that your meat will be tender I take it that you also hang your meat for at least 14 days after butchering This will ensure that your meat will not be tough . Merry Christmas! You are correct, there are a lot of homestead channels out there, but you and and Hollar Homestead are my favorites! It makes me smile that you all are friends and I can see you every now and again on each other's channels. I am in the foothills of East TN...here's to a warm up into the 60s this week! I grew up in MI and was 21 when I moved here in 1974. I have seen some cold temps here but not this cold for this many days. But, like you said, it doesn't last long and I never liked cold winter weather. Happy New Year! Looking forward to see what God has planned for you all in the coming year. :)

I grew up having a Christmas goose for dinner. The next day the fat was skimmed from the drippings and then we would have fry bread. The seasoning and the rich fat made the fry bread beyond mouth watering. Have a wonderful holiday season. God Bless your family.

So many of these You Tube channels are fake and just beg for subscribers and likes, the good channels are just fun to watch and informative. I really appreciate the fact that you are not doing You Tube just for money, I watch a lot of these videos and I won't watch if if they change who they are just to get subs and likes, You don't put out those silly daily posts to sit in front of a camera and and blah blah blah. Merry Christmas to you all from snowy, windy, and cold midwestern Ontario, Canada. We have been having a blizzard since Friday and the snow does not seem to want to quit. Because of the high winds in some spots it is up to my husband's waist so your weather looks mighty lovely to me. Thanks for all you do. Happy New Year.

Hi Jason and family, Merry Christmas! One youtube channel you might want to check out is Gold Shaw Farm. Morgan, the fellow who does that one is up in my neck of the woods, in Peacham, VT. He has cows, so has the issues with frozen water lines that you're having, and he got a little do-hickey to keep the water above freezing on his outside lines for his animals. He also raises geese, and that might be interesting. AND he's funny! The inside lines can have heat tape placed on them where they seem most vulnerable to freezing (less insulation, or in the cold cellar or whatever), and you can turn the heat tape on on cold nights to keep your water from freezing. I live in an old farm house, and without heat tape, I wouldn't have water in the winter!💖

It's interesting, because at 74, I've never experienced such a WARM winter up here in Vermont! Pretty much the same kind of winter you all had, but we're used to it being (in years long past) -40 degrees in the winter. Our climate, oh dear! I recently saw using a gal bottle of salt water in the water helps keep it fron being solid, the animals can push the jug to break up the water
