If its good enough for the Gendarmes then its good enough for me, although this is the Retay replica version.
Try shooting at a wooden Target and compare it to a umarex gun that also shoots rubber bullets try using 40 Jewel gun or 16 Jewel gun to compare and umarex is an air gun

In the UK this type of blank fire pistol is now illegal because the blank discharges out the barrel, we are only allowed to purchase pistols of this type that discharge the blank energy from the shell port on the pistol. I hope that makes sense.

Hi Ben, are the rules different in France. I think the top can't be black in the UK (presumably so it doesn't scare people), I've been looking at the them since your previous video on them.
Yes perfectly legal here in France, I have seen UK ones with the top slide slide a different colour or red tips on the front. And I don't think they can be front venting (could be wrong on that one) where as we can have front venting, hence firing rubber Gomm balls (which pack a hefty punch)
You can get all black blank firers in the UK, but you need a defence in order for the retailer to sell you it, similar to that you need for airsoft. But the 'airsoft defence' doesn't really cut it, as you don't need blank guns for airsoft. So, you normally need to be part of a reenactment group, theatrical group, TV etc. But, as Mr Maddog says, they do all have to be top or side venting, otherwise they need to be on a Section 1 firearms licence.
hey are you able to add attachments to that rail? can I maybe put a red beam or a flashlight?
I saw on one of your replies to a comment that you bought this adapter but that the gun comes with a flare adapter. You wouldnt happen to know the inside dimensions of the flare adapter? Perhaps it could fire a .50 cal rubber ball (the smaller ones).

US military are not using it, they have used the P226 and have just adopted the M17 which is there version of the P320.

@@Maddogairguns Interesting to know, small number for some specific unit I suspect. Army has since adopted the 320 as its new general issue sidearm in the guise of the M17 ( and M18 compact version ).

Sorry, I am not in Belgium and do not know your rules. Here in France we can have them.
Ive just got one of these but the uk one the top is blue and its top firing not like yours being front firing .. is there away round this
To remain legal in the UK, you would have to have the top slide painted (normally blue or orange) and be top venting, any way round it would make it an illegal firearm. Quite lucky here in France, we get to have a fair bit more than the UK.

Hi Ben. Didn’t see you comment on how heavy the trigger is (higher than average), have read some comments. You seem to do just fine, just a matter of strength???
The trigger isn't an issue for me, must be my fat fingers.
I've got a similar UK legal one to this. It's also single and double action, and single is very heavy. But double is light.

Is the barrel you have on stock or did you change it with a different one so you could fit the adapter on I seen most retay guns have the barrel blocked off so am wondering how you managed to screw that on
It’s a stock barrel, I guess they might be different depending where you are in the world. Here in France we are allowed front venting, whereas in the U.K. you have to have side or top venting, hence the blocked off barrel.
Is there 2 types ? I see there is a retry 2022 but I can’t see the S on it or anywhere

What distance were you from the target when you fired the ball? Did the balls come with the gun when you brought it.
It was about 20metres. They don't come with the gun, there is just a screw on flare adapter that is included. But the site I bought from had accessories listed for this particular gun. Think they called it a Gomm adapter which came with ten balls.

Yes, they do have to be top venting, plus I think the top slide has to be painted a bright colour. Luckily I’m in France where this is perfectly legal.

Front venting are very illegal in the UK, unless you have them on an FAC. You will get prison time if caught, no questions about it.
You've confused me mate, when you said in France we arent allowed guns? I've seen other British youtubers living in France with firearms. Handguns etc. I thought Black powder guns didnt even require a license? Did you mean to say for pretection?
I probably should have said, not allowed to use guns for self defence. If you have a gun that's loaded and you use it, it is seen by the law that it is premeditated. All handguns that fire real bullets are Cat B license, hunting rifles, shotguns and air weapons over 20joules comes under Cat C license. Then everything else you just have to be over 18, that goes for black powder too.

So what can you actually do with this then. I take it that it doesn't fire anything, it makes a bang right. I'm asking because I'm new to learning about guns in general, and this rubber ball adapter. Do you think that would be enough to subdue an assailant? Would it hurt? Also where would you get this adapter for it. In the UK the top half has been painted blue and it doesn't look as nice as your gun.
I suppose you would use it to deter someone, fire a couple of shots in the air and because it’s realistic with the noise and the empty shells flying out it looks the part. Not sure about the blue top ones though. On mine the rubber ball adapter came with it, also comes with a flare adapter. I think the bales are called “Gomm”.
You sound genuine...
all you need to do for your purposes of piece of mind is to strip the pistol, just remove the topslide (as you’ll be doing often for the hell of it) and give a quick lick of spray paint. You’d be surprised how good it looks. Less is more.
Ironically two passes of black over the blue looks excellent as it gives a similar finish as “walther” parkerisation.Hi temp stuff for car engine bays be ideal unless you were going to make it tan or green.
As the man said in the video though: always remember that carrying something like this could also get you shot by the armed police. Please don’t. I understand why you might just want it in the house though. Stay safe (and have fun) ✌️
Well the same as a real gun short of shooting them, you can draw it on them, tell them to fk off, if they persist fire a shot in the air, 99999 times out of 100k they will depart.....that is what you can do with it.

just picked this model up. It will do some damage, feels just like the Sig. The recoil and sound is identical to the real thing. Within 15 meter's this thing can do terrible things. Scary real...

Exactly! And as it’s not the usual thing to see over here, most thieves won’t be carrying a gun. Luckily we don’t have to have brightly painted top slides like the UK, so they do look real and a good deterrent.

How much misinformation in one video... If you wanna have a gun in France (legally I might add) it's simple... Easiest to aquire (but not to use) is a black powder cap and ball revolver (18+) next easiest go get a trap shooting license and buy a 12 gauge, next is a hunting license (buy anything you like except handguns and semi auto rifles with a capacity of more than 2+1 rounds and last is a sport shooting license that includes anything including AR's and AK's....
