What do you guys think....seems like these issues shouldn't be happening with a $100k car? Regardless we still do love this vehicle but we always want to keep it real with you guys as well. On a more fun note, what color do you think we should wrap the car? Or do we keep it glossy black?
Orange peel is normal, every car has it unless they’ve spent hours doing full paint correction. They have acceptable levels of orange peel and gloss that can be measured, if it’s within their specifications then they typically won’t do anything for you about it. If it’s excessively severe you can bring it up to the dealer and they may cover the cost of sanding/buffing it to an acceptable level. Years ago Cadillac/GM and Ford had a few models that were really bad, looked like a golf ball bad lol, but in those cases they’d actually send it to us at the body shop to have it corrected, it’s a lot of work to get that perfect flat show quality finish and in a production setting they won’t spend that much time on it for a mass produced model.
Hey Jaret! Coming from a GLE53 owner.. For the transmission: During the break-in period, this happened with our GLE53. It went away after the break-in period and has not happened since. Things to note with AMGs as well as ANY performance car, you'll definitely want to let the fluids in the motor as well as transmission warm up to optimal operating temperatures before doing anything wild with them. With our GLE53, C63S, Z4 35i, and X5, we try to always let them get to temp before anything sporty to ensure they are ready to go. On the Paint: Mercedes, BMW, Audi and yes... even Porsche have orange peel from the factory. Their orange peel is not as bad as Ford/Chevy for example...but it is still there. The only car I've seen come from the factory with no orange peel while also retaining a high level of paint quality is Rolls Royce...yes, you'd be surprised how bad Ferrari and McLaren paint quality is. With all of this being said, Mercedes has some of the best factory paint on the market when it comes to amount of paint as well as durability. Orange peel removal is worth it if you plan to keep the car unwrapped, but is very labor intensive/high cost as the shop will need to sand down the orange peel and then proceed with varying steps of polish to get it to a mirror finish. Another solution as you have shown in the video is wrapping the car a different color. Please note, depending on the film manufacturer you will have more or less orange peel...yes even on film especially when gloss. The other option would be to do a full body PPF using the highest quality PPF that displays less orange peel than what Mercedes finish has.
Thanks for the updates. Also, my Gle 53 will not active my Driver Assist/Lane Assist while in cruise control with a car in front. I select the DA option and nothing happens. I have 1k miles on it.
I have 11,500 miles on my GLE 53 and the jolt from 3 to 2 is just as prevalent from the day I picked it up new - I'm now in discussion with Mercedes HQ! They have had thousands of complaints about this particular issue on the 53 but have hidden in part behind the fact that it is ''normal'. It certainly is not.
Yeah thats more or less what I was saying in my post.ive known people that would be outraged and would take it right back and throw the keys on there desk and bitch them out to embarrass the hell out of them and probably tell them to call the head of the company and give them the phone. It would be something they would never forget believe me. Not saying that's the appropriate thing to do but that they would have the right to do it when paying that and more for anything. It's almost like China built it. Nothing good comes from China ever.
@@dandaniels4558 100k what a joke , i bought a vw caddy in 2008 and its covered 300 thousand mikes and never missed a beat. Beat of all it cost 3 grand. Stick your merc up your ass
1- It takes only 10 minutes for alignment of your tyres. Do it asap. 2- Push the dealer harder about transmission problem, it’s unacceptable. 3- You cannot get rid of orange peel with claybar and don’t wrap the car, go to dealer and request solution.
Hi mate m from Australia melbourne just got a new gle 63s and misfires in less then 3 days, mercedes fixed it and then misfires 2nd after 14 days can't fix it ,gave a brand new gle 63s loan car brand new ,misfires in less then 2 days ,just wondering if you have heard of it?
I have the 9G-tronic in E350d and when it was remapped, and later when the gearbox was serviced, it removes all the learned behaviour from the 'box. It takes a few hundred gear changes to recalibrate and until then can be a very lumpy, especially in the lower gears. After a recent factory reset mine was banging into first and sometimes very jerky 3->2. Two weeks later... butter. Good luck, guys!
@ yeah merc puts 1 hell of a clear coat on there vehicles. Or at least they use to. He does need to take it back and drop it off but since they will have to cut and polish it the paint might be in jeopardy of not lasting that long. Just depends on how deep of a cut they have to do.
I have a new gle 53 and i have only done 2000 km on it. But i had the same issue of the gear .but now the 48 volt battery died and the car is not starting and i have to wait 1 month for the battery. They say that the new mercedeses have this issue. So be aware
Funny how the dealers always "forget" to mention those "normal" issues when they sell the car. I was actualy planning to get a GLE 63S, but now i am not so sure. But if i decide to get it, then i will mention this to the dealer, and make it clear for them that i WILL return the car if i experience any of these issues. Normal or not, there is no way i will pay that kind of money and then accept that it is "normal". You are lucky that the car is so cheap in your country. In my country ( Denmark ), the GLE 63S cost around 500.000 dollars. We have the highest car taxes in the world at around 180%. So i will not accept ANY issues with this car..for that kind of money, it should wake up early and make coffee for me too
Ask for the history card jarret it follows the car from start of production to the end and then to the dealer. Its used to record any issues in the factory fitting or having to retro fit or swap out parts for being damaged or faulty or even wrong part fitted
I'd have a good detail shop correct the paint and put a PPF on it. The black looks amazing. The transmission is a deal breaker. I'd make them fix that under warranty.
Like his R8 and her C8, money can't buy taste unfortunately. And both those cars looking trash 🗑 stupid looking wraps with the door jams still a different color, both look stupid and unsophisticated
Yeah Christina's car was so beautiful when she picked it up. I don't know who talked her into that ridiculous wrap. I never saw Jared's car without the wrap. It's amazing to me the money those 2 are spending lately. Million dollar house, thousands on Tv's, half a million on cars. Her only fans channel must be making a fortune.
@@RDTH-cam54 I just hope they have a long term plan, the social bubble will eventually burst, and Jaret seems like a genuinely nice guy behind it all, don't want to see him loose it all.
Cars all have orange peel , they do it so the paint lasts , flat paint does not hold up in the real world , you can’t buff out orange peel , wet sanding, and polish .
I have the same exact car. 2022 model in emerald green 53 amg coupe. Paint is fine on mine, alignment is prefect on mine. I do feel the transmission clunk and I'm at 900 miles on it. I do have that same belt squeak noise too from the engine. Other than that the car is 10/10. For the looks, safety, and price the car is very great.
My customer’s gle53 amg sounds “wee wee wee” like yours when idling, checked with the master mechanic and he said that it’s totally normal because of the compressors and the break-in. I’d like to know more about it,he’s coming back next week for his second visit....
Had the same issue with the SL. Apparently there is a driving software that learns the driver. It shouldn't take that long, 60 miles or so. But you have to drive it in each mode, sport and ECO. Then the braking will smooth out. I thought it was the transition as well. 😆
Based on my experience, all the 2020 and 2021 model GLA GLC GLE has this problem. They said it's normal but I recommend you take the car to the dealer right before the car's manufacturer warranty expires.
Mine is 2022 Gle 53.... same think with the transmission.... I think that is the related with the EQ motor... swiching to electrcal...... not every time but it’s happen.....
There seems to be this mindset that buying more expensive cars means you have less problems or shouldn`t have any problems. I have found those end high cars to have the most amount of problems. I went from driving a brand new Audi to a Honda because of this. Really had enough of these cars.
The more expensive the more new tech, they tend to break down a lot. Lexus is much better for being reliable. But amg is not mean for that. Amg is meant for sex appeal and looks cool. You don’t drive it as a car. It’s a toy. You throw it away after 1 year or two. One of my uncle is in industry and I don’t want people find out who he is , but I can tell you that he knows the Mercedes’ inside out. He told me they don’t design amg for being reliable , you should have enough money to not care . So when I made my first 10 million I finally bought the s600 years ago. I keep my Lexus for over 10 years, but I buy a new amg every 1 or two years, when it gets dirty and the rim looks dirty to clean, I throw the car in one of my garage. If the car needs oil change , I buy a new car since it take less time to buy a car than change oil sometimes.
Yea because people buy foreign cars and not not knowing about the car and problems that can happen and how to do services by the manual these aren’t American cars can’t treat them as so and of course more things are going to happen because it’s a lot more electrical components
I understand why Jaret was a little concern. I mean guys this is a 100k machine at the price range you don't really expect the vehicle to have any issues honestly. I am sure the Rogue didn't have them any issues and that's a fraction of the price of this beast.
Wow, that sucks dude. It's disheartening having to deal with these kinds of things on new cars from esteemed brands. Just don't settle for "this is normal" from the dealer and use your own judgement on what you think is acceptable or not.
11:59 I have a 2019 CLA 45AMG and it's the same thing with my Transmission the car has only 25,000 miles on it. The dealer told me it's normal. I git extended warranty just incase.
My Mercedes had the same problem and went back to the dealer who flashed the eprom and he drove it home for a week and re-trained the gearbox. Since then It’s been shifting perfect !!
I hear you guys about the winter in PA. I just bought a brand new four wheeler with a plow so I can do my parents driveway. As you know I’m only like an hour away from you guys so we get the same weather. Problem is they’re really tough to find right now thanks to the ports not unloading things so I paid an arm and a leg for it but it was worth it. Well, for me it’s an arm and a leg. For you it’s probably like a happy meal price. LOL you guys rock keep me smiling. My mom was just diagnosed with a pretty bad cancer and I’m a wreck but these videos make me smile. Waiting for my monster to get done. 😎❤️
Don’t wrap it It looks great Get it clay barred, and PPF it. As per all the other comments, Orange Peel is normal. Seems as though u r 95 % safe that the jerky transmission shift in 2 & 3 will go away with some mileage This does make sense with Adaptive Transmissions. Noisy drive belts are very common. They just need some lubrication. Keep a list of anything needing attention, and get your local dealer to sort these things.
Clay bars are used to remove fallout from the paint so you can do a paint correction & then use a PPF or ceramic coating lol. To get rid of orange peel you’ll need to sand down the entire vehicle with multiple grades of sand paper and then do a 2 step paint correction.
3 ปีที่แล้ว +2
All mass produced cars that are just sprayed and cured very fast without multiple sanding stages have orange peel. Metallic paint hides it and black glossy shows it the most.
Yes, I have a 2021 AMG LE 53 coupe under 6K miles now.Same issue with the transmission when downshifting from 3rd to 2nd. It is very rough in sport+ mode. I thought I'm the only one has this issue.
@@StanleyChandy good luck and please feed us back with the dealership feedback. For me they told me they would record it and send it to MB for analysis but I’m pretty sure that would take forever
My parents had a GLC and did the same thing. I thought it was just the fact since it's an automatic and some more power than I've had in other automatic cars, but I guess it's a merc issue. I've seen bad orange peel on all Mercedes that we've had as well.
If the paint is fooked you should take it back to the dealer. That hurts the resale value of the car - a lot. Hiding it under a wrap does not fix the problem. It is a brand new AMG Mercedes. Paint needs to be perfect.
It won't hurt jarets and Christina's trade in deal with there dealership at all because they've been told all the issues. When it's time to trade it next year they will receive top notch trade with no arguments guaranteed. Wrapping it will preserve the paint the way they got it from the factory so shouldn't be anymore damage to it. Will be a seamless trade experience next year because they've built a great relationship with there Mercedes dealer.
@@dandaniels4558 Things do change. You can't see into the future. Maybe they decide they want something else and do not trade it in for another Mercedes. Anyway a poor paint job on a brand new car is not acceptable. Mercedes should fix the paint.
As a car guy I love that you guys want so much out of the car lol. From listening to what you too have to say about the car, I think you need a Brabus version. I don’t think a normal AMG model will cut it for you
Even if you are not a car guy, expecting smooth or at least normal transmission feedback from a 100k dollar vehicle is absolutely normal. Cars far cheaper have no where near the remarked roughness. I'm not a fan of Campisi's morally vacant ways nor his channel in general but his desire on wanting a well functional car after shelling so much moolah is anything but being picky.
Isn’t the point of all the modes so you can have full AMG noise in sport + but have limousine quiet and comfort when required? Not every situation requires or suits a race car soundtrack.
Jaret who's doing your yard? They are doing a beautiful job. Now as far as the car goes, I really don't understand why you would spend 100k on a car that you didn't even like the motor in. This is why you never buy a car without test driving it. Had you done that you might have felt the transmission and been able to make a decision. Now if it doesn't get much better and the dealership says it is a normal characteristic of the car you're stuck with not even liking the way the car drives. And if that's not enough you're going to spend probably 3k on a wrap to hide yet another flaw.. You're way too hung up on gadgets.
I dont think that you guys are being picky at all, its a new motor, its a high end AMG MB, it cost a lot of cash, you should always feel special in it and even though you love the car, the niggles are justified in my view and they annoy you, they would deffo annoy me, it does sound uber cool though, love the channel, you guys are awesome
I know I'm late to the party, but I own a 2022 GLE53 Coupe & I want to chime in. Believe it or not, this is still a fairly common thing. Yes, it's partially due to the break in period, but also due to the fact that the AMG speed shift transmission learns the way you drive and acclimates accordingly to give you a better driving experience. I also work as a sales consultant & marketing director for one of the highest volume MB dealers in the country & we receive AMG speed shift & 9 G-Tronic transmissions cars in on trade every day. For those who don't know, most of the Mercedes-Benz line-up shares the 9 speed G-Tronic transmission & nearly all AMG cars share the AMG speed shift transmission. Everything else has a DCT transmission. That being said, you can immediately tell how hard or soft the previous owner drove their car by the way the transmission reacts & shifts. Once the car is given the chance to learn new driving habits, aka purchased again, then the transmission will settle once again into its new owners driving habits. In regard to EQ-Boost, EQ Boost is a 48-volt system that powers the 12-volt battery, which is vital to the car running PERIOD. It's just a mild form of hybrid tech. On the bright & exciting side of things it gives you 21 instant HP & another 184insh lb-ft tq for the ZOOMS.
Mercedes needs to spend more money on their quality control of their production cars and less on F1 and their mega salaries. Just on principal I would return it and get something else.
Tell me what vehicle isn't over priced today.even American made cars and especially trucks or ridiculously overpriced.they add a few tech toys to them and bam $70,000 $80,000 You can't even get a stiped one for less than $40,000 it seems and even used now is astronomical. They can't get new ones so they've jacked the price of used ones up to where there not much off the price of the brand new ones they can't get to there lots because of chip shortages.
We test drove this as well as the GLC and it wallows like a whale on corners. Gorgeous in every other way but the handling. The GLC Was pretty nice but its not roomy enough so we went to BMW and test drove the X4 which for less was better , however not keen on the boot space. In the end we ordered a X3 M40i instead.
Did u guys get the transmission problem fixed? Mine is 2022 and it is doing this since day one and now has 3k miles and still there 😔 any luck with the dealership?
I have a 2021 AMG GLE 53 coupe. When I go from 2cd to first it sometimes jerks very hard. Have 1100 miles so far on the car. Only other thing is the wireless charger. It will not change my iPhone 12 plus or 10 plus. It will charge a small iPhone. Starts to charge then stops. Tried all updates. Taking it in to see that the can do. Will update
That transmission problem seems to happens on GLC & C Class models, salesman say people complains about it,but still no way to fix it.🤔 My dad's GLC have that sound, but when it gets rolling, that sound decreased.
I have the 2023 and I haven’t experienced it but I’m definitely keeping it in mind!! Also to open the trunk with your foot go right under the plate in the middle to open and close the trunk cool feature!!
GLE 53 owner here, the transmission issues goes away after 2000 miles. For paint, ceramic counting is the way to go. As far as V8 you can have that for this model, just pay 35k more lol
no new car should have these issues. demand a replacement and if they balk, remind of the power behind 500k followers who will no hate Mercedes. We're with you, bro!
I have a 2016 glc43 and have the same problem, it does not get better. One way to replicate it is drive at 80 kph on 9th gear, then come to a complete stop. Imagine that you are driving, bumper to bumper at 80 kph and the lights turn red and everyone have to come to a stop. Another is to come to a stop while going down hill, you will feel it most then.
As a manager of a professional powder company who does work for major car/lorry company's orange peel is most likely due to to much paint . Also you can get a tester to check this paint issue.
There is a reset process for the torque convertor since it has sensors in the TC. It is learning your method of driving and it is rough at first. The paint is annoying for sure. Don't wait on the alignment... you will torture your run-flats and those usually don't last long anyway.
For the trunk opening you need to put your foot under the bumper and then step back 1 foot. I had a mercedes and it took me a second to figure that out!
You don’t need to step back they just need get the position correct and the easiest way is to go directly under the middle of the plate it will open and do it again to close
Those super expensive vehicles like that will give all kinds of problems sooner or later there are just so many computers and electronics on it . The good news is you seem to get rid of them pretty quick you don't want to own one that is out of warranty for sure no matter how much money you have.
My 2023 gle suv 53 also 5.000 kilometers and is giving me this same transmission issues, one that is worst is when from cero applying throttle and turning all to the right in very slow movement the transmission seams is going to break , something very bad is happening down there, recently talk with my dealer they told me they connected the computer for a software check and that all is now correct, today i still have that horrible problem my wife was with me and told me that’s awful. So today I will call them let’s see what happens. Thanks for sharing your experience out there.
Have you ever had a problem when using the paddle shifters going from 1 to 2nd and it laggs to shift were it nose dives like if you were driving a manuel?
How does your AMG53’s steering feel while making a sharp turn while barely moving…example: turning into your driveway while completely turning the steering wheel. Mine feels like the tires are slipping or something.
I would keep it the same, no wrap because you trading it in next year. I believe every driver would notice wheel alignment pulling, especially on a new car. Salesman once told me "never purchase a car out of state and have it transported to you" for reasons you are experiencing now.
Yes, it's typical for Mercedes. You need to reset your gearbox 1, open your car, get in, foot flat on the gas 2, turn your ignition key twice (do not start the engine!) 3, hold the gas down for min of 30 secs 4, turn key off, release the gas 5, Drive immediately and it'll learn your driving style, not whoever has driven it before. I have a E350 and like you, took it back to Mercedes then learnt all the tricks on TH-cam, forums etc - definitely join a good forum based on your model of car. Keep up the good work! Nigel, UK.
Haha trust me I understand these are first world problems but when you’re spending this kind of money on something we expect it to be functioning and in good condition when it’s brand new.
I was going to mention finishing the garage floors a couple of videos ago, but you beat me to the punchline. Makes a huge difference cleaning and maintaining integrity of the overall look of the surface.
@@JaretCampisi Yes, that as well.. Thanks to your video content of the scenic area, we are considering moving from Idaho to PA, but I hate snow. Trade off, I guess.

Did you buy the car or are you leasing the car? The car looks good in every color scheme you showed in this video.

Hi Jaret, Greetings from Australia, how are you mate? Finally found someone whos having the same issue for the 9 speed transmission of the 43 and 53 models, you were spot on in the video, when the car shifts from 3 to 2, holy crap it is sometimes so scary, few times my friends asked me if I hit anything like the curb or anything, it is crazy and embarrassing as hell especially when you have spend so much money on a brand new luxury car. Mine happens more when the transmission temperature is around 82- 84 degrees Celsius , it is totally random but even now after 10000 km, it still happens time to time. May I ask if you have found a way to fix this issue? Thank you so much and look forward to hearing from you soon mate.
I owned a gle 450 with the hybrid eq boost and when I slow down, the car would downshift aggressively and regen braking would also kick in, which was very jerky. The transition to regen braking is not smooth. If you apply less braking pressure, does the kick down feel less severe? Regarding your alignment issue, I had the same on my 450. Not a huge deal but yeah would expect better from MB.
Yo i have that transmission issue with mine too, it’s a 2022 AMG GLE 53. I really thought it was broken too, it’s too rough and usually happens when it’s on sport/sport+ mode. Mine is still new (about 2,000KM) and I hope it gets better with time, please lemme know if yours has gotten better over time or should i take it back. Cheers
Mine, I got a few months ago the 2021 53, when when you start the car and turn the cars starts jolting and its loud, only when turning the steering wheel, dealership says its not an issue but it is and we took it in and it never happened of course... also the side steps are so damaged from stones and they won't do anything about it... we paid with all add-ons $150K CAD and I really am annoyed...
A GLE 300de is actually a lot more comfortable then a GLE53. I test drove both and I 100% chose comfort over unnecessary forse in a huge suv. That’s why you have the r8
I have the same car and the exact issue with the jerking and clunk when stopping for me. I took it in and they said everything was fine and they didn't think there was a problem. It has gotten better, but still does it daily and I'm at 3000 miles. My check engine light just came on today, something about the 48V battery. It's going back in the shop next week. Soooo disappointed
What do you guys think....seems like these issues shouldn't be happening with a $100k car? Regardless we still do love this vehicle but we always want to keep it real with you guys as well. On a more fun note, what color do you think we should wrap the car? Or do we keep it glossy black?
You should try inozetek midnight purple!
Alignment should be free. Most manufacturers include 1 free alignment under 10k miles.
FYI, you can't remove orange peel with a clay bar/wax. Heavy Paint Correction maybe.
It’s Mercedes, they lowkey suck. As nice as they seem.
Hey Jaret! Coming from a GLE53 owner..
For the transmission:
During the break-in period, this happened with our GLE53. It went away after the break-in period and has not happened since. Things to note with AMGs as well as ANY performance car, you'll definitely want to let the fluids in the motor as well as transmission warm up to optimal operating temperatures before doing anything wild with them. Mercedes, BMW, Audi and yes... even Porsche have orange peel from the factory.
Right on I've heard the same thing from a few other GLE53 owners so that makes me feel a lot better thanks buddy!
Thanks for the updates. Also, my Gle 53 will not active my Driver Assist/Lane Assist while in cruise control with a car in front. I select the DA option and nothing happens. I have 1k miles on it.
Hey - you mention after the “break-in” like how severe was you problem? And when is the breaking in part done?
I have 11,500 miles on my GLE 53 and the jolt from 3 to 2 is just as prevalent from the day I picked it up new - I'm now in discussion with Mercedes HQ! They have had thousands of complaints about this particular issue on the 53 but have hidden in part behind the fact that it is ''normal'. It certainly is not.
Pls don't do lights under the vehicle, it make the cars look cheap. Your can looks awesome as it is.

Yeah a bunch of people have mentioned that and it does seem to be getting better as we put more miles on it
Hey Jaret are you having this issue still? Any luck fixing

lol the motor is always my most important part of any vehicle but I've never had ambient lighting or self driving features so its cool to try them out
Orange peal cannot be removed with a clay bar.
I think he meant wet sanding.
You need to wet-sand and polish it. But I bet the factory paint is too thin to start with...
So i will not accept ANY issues with this car..for that kind of money, it should wake up early and make coffee for me too
And it should pick you up and drop you off to work 🤣😂

Would love to get a house update soon, its been a while since we've seen it
Yes a bunch of people were asking...we will do that soon!
Ask for the history card jarret it follows the car from start of production to the end and then to the dealer. Its used to record any issues in the factory fitting or having to retro fit or swap out parts for being damaged or faulty or even wrong part fitted
I will ask about that thanks!
$100k with Trans problems, orange peel and out of alignment. So spend more on a wrap to protect the orange peel paint, ok go it 👌
I'd have a good detail shop correct the paint and put a PPF on it. The black looks amazing. The transmission is a deal breaker. I'd make them fix that under warranty.

I have a gle53 2021 and i had the same problem but now mine has 4500 miles and it doesn’t have that problem no more
I have the same exact car.
IT'S NORMAL !!!
@@tax905972 hey what do you mean it’s normal?!
Really had enough of these cars.
yeah I would just expect that if you pay more it would be better quality
I have found more expensive cars tend to actually have more problems. Those cheap Japanese cars are the one with no problems.
We were talking about how our 30K rogue didn't have any of these issues lol
Wow, that sucks dude. It's disheartening having to deal with these kinds of things on new cars from esteemed brands. Just don't settle for "this is normal" from the dealer and use your own judgement on what you think is acceptable or not.
I agree with you Jaret. You spend that kind of money on a Benz and it should be perfect.
The orange peel is pretty normal nowadays, cause the restrictions in painting jobs got harder. Wrap it in silver/grey mettalic matt.

Get it clay barred, and PPF it.
As per all the other comments, Orange Peel is normal.
Seems as though u r 95 % safe that the jerky transmission shift in 2 & 3 will go away with some mileage
This does make sense with Adaptive Transmissions.
Noisy drive belts are very common.
They just need some lubrication.
Keep a list of anything needing attention, and get your local dealer to sort these things.
yep that's exactly what we are doing thanks!
@@JaretCampisi
Excellent
What’s the new car ??
🤓🤓
Clay bars are used to remove fallout from the paint so you can do a paint correction & then use a PPF or ceramic coating lol. To get rid of orange peel you’ll need to sand down the entire vehicle with multiple grades of sand paper and then do a 2 step paint correction.
All mass produced cars that are just sprayed and cured very fast without multiple sanding stages have orange peel. Metallic paint hides it and black glossy shows it the most.
Had similar transmission issue with my S63, I think the dealer did some firmware updates and problem went away.

such an odd thing to see on a high end mercedes
I wouldn't do anything to that if you're planning on trading it for the 63 next year, especially with the issues you're having👍
Yeah unfortunately these cars are for content as well so we still have to do stuff to the car to be able to create videos with it etc
Not every situation requires or suits a race car soundtrack.
yes for sure I'm just saying in the quite mode the exhaust sounds terrible...I'd rather not hear it at all lol
The mercedes that are painted in germany dont have as much orange peel. Its when they are painted at the Mexico facility that the paint is sub par
Appreciate that Steve lots more content coming!
Same with BMW, these cars are ridiculously overpriced.
Tell me what vehicle isn't over priced today.even American made cars and especially trucks or ridiculously overpriced.they add a few tech toys to them and bam $70,000 $80,000
You can't even get a stiped one for less than $40,000 it seems and even used now is astronomical.
Will update
That transmission problem seems to happens on GLC & C Class models, salesman say people complains about it,but still no way to fix it.🤔
My dad's GLC have that sound, but when it gets rolling, that sound decreased.
You mean 63 is better than 53?
no new car should have these issues. demand a replacement and if they balk, remind of the power behind 500k followers who will no hate Mercedes. We're with you, bro!
They will not care.
Roger that thanks buddy!
For the trunk opening you need to put your foot under the bumper and then step back 1 foot. I had a mercedes and it took me a second to figure that out!
You don’t need to step back they just need get the position correct and the easiest way is to go directly under the middle of the plate it will open and do it again to close
They should fix it in warranty.. Shouldn't they..?
Those super expensive vehicles like that will give all kinds of problems sooner or later there are just so many computers and electronics on it . The good news is you seem to get rid of them pretty quick you don't want to own one that is out of warranty for sure no matter how much money you have.

thats actually common on cars with super wide, sticky tires, all of our supercars do it including our Urus that we traded the GLE for.
I'm just imagining how you guys are feeling after spending so much........ LOVE FROM INDIA!!!!
I would keep it the same, no wrap because you trading it in next year. I believe every driver would notice wheel alignment pulling, especially on a new car. Salesman once told me "never purchase a car out of state and have it transported to you" for reasons you are experiencing now.
haha yeah luckily we have a great relationship with our local mercedes dealer so they will take care of us :)
Yes, it's typical for Mercedes.
You need to reset your gearbox
1, open your car, get in, foot flat on the gas
2, turn your ignition key twice
(do not start the engine!)
3, hold the gas down for min of 30 secs
4, turn key off, release the gas
5, Drive immediately and it'll learn your driving style, not whoever has driven it before. I have a E350 and like you, took it back to Mercedes then learnt all the tricks on TH-cam, forums etc - definitely join a good forum based on your model of car.

When TH-camrs complain about a $100k + car, I defo know I’m doing something wrong. I love your vids but I’m not a big fan of some of the vids on TH-cam about how they can afford massive houses and super cars. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy your vids and you deserve your success. Just not sure these vids need to be made. Just my opinion tho.
It all about flexing. So immature.
I always hesitate to make videos like these complaining about stuff but I do feel like sometimes they are warranted so people know we still deal with shit and have problems just like everyone else AND to potentially help others who are looking at similar vehicles etc. I've never made a video in my life to show off or flex in anyway so I'm sorry if it comes off that way.
@@JaretCampisi nah you’re good. It’s all jealousy lol. I don’t like these types of vids but you said some valid points for those who are on your level financially speaking. For the majority of people trying to make it on TH-cam most of course will fail. You have an amazing house with some awesome vehicles so you should be proud. I just don’t like it when videos are made showing this lol.
@@JaretCampisi keep making them......I am dealing with exact same issue so it was nice to know I'm not a one off......I am not a "youtuber" just an accountant (not the onlyfans kind lol).
@@MrSeriousVVL yeah keep making them. Don’t take my point into account at all !! I’m just poor and doing over 60 hours a week. Don’t worry about us, we’ll just keep hitting that sub button. Lol. Merry fricking xmas !
Hi Jaret,
Greetings from Australia, how are you mate?
Is this happening in sport+? It’s rev matching in a pretty harsh transition from 3->2 and on some occasions, upshifting from 1->2.
Are you still facing these issues?
i got 5% all around and 35% on the windshield and they don’t pull me over for it😂bro if you gonna get illegal tint might as well just say fuck it
I have a 2018 e class with the 9 speed automatic transmission and none of that was happening to me..that sounds awful for a brand new 100k car
2018 eClass…That’s because it’s not a DCT.
Any update??
A GLE 300de is actually a lot more comfortable then a GLE53. I test drove both and I 100% chose comfort over unnecessary forse in a huge suv. That’s why you have the r8
I have the same car and the exact issue with the jerking and clunk when stopping for me. I took it in and they said everything was fine and they didn't think there was a problem. It has gotten better, but still does it daily and I'm at 3000 miles. My check engine light just came on today, something about the 48V battery. It's going back in the shop next week. Soooo disappointed
Any update??
