Monache Meadows to June Lake: Overlanding, Nearby Fires, and Mornings Above the Lake

- Back for a 2nd visit to Monache Meadows where we spent some time overlanding on the 4x4 trails and even made a couple river crossings. Join us as we take you along for this adventure through Inyo National Forest and then towards the June Lake area where we relaxed and enjoyed the charming mountain town.
Along the way, there was a small wildfire in the area so we saw a few helicopters taking water from a small lake - pretty cool to see up close, but its also a reminder of the potentials of fire season and what may be coming in the months ahead...
Thank you for taking the time to watch our video - please consider subscribing so you don't miss any in the future. Thank you😊

Saw you guys out at Monache Meadows, super clean rig. Friday night was super cold, our water bottles were frozen in the morning. Good luck on your guys' adventures to come

Thank you!!
such a great trip! Next time I'm getting the Mexican latte instead😜
You guys camp at awesome places that I like to camp, I need camping friends like you. Mind I tag along next trip?
Nice seeing the Bison getting in and out of monache. Just picked up a bison myself. My last trip to monache last year it had gotten pretty rough. Probably be headed up there soon since it’s not to far from the house.
Nice video
We’ve had it for about a year. Love it so far? You’ll have no trouble with the bison! What did you upgrade from?
Upgraded from a AEV built ram 1500
They didn’t build many 1500’s (recruit) loved it hated to let it go but was at about 99k miles and getting about 12 mpg. So far super happy with the bison. Went with the 2.8 diesel. Have a list of to do mods but so far it’s been capable enough.
great job at capturing your travels! new sub here!
Great spot! Congrats on finding a diamond.
Thanks for watching, Robert!
And what a beautiful puppy! What mix is he?
Thanks so much for all the love! He’s a Pitsky (husky / pitbull mix)
Awesome spot i know exactly where its at. Been going to june lake since i was a little kid but never camped much. What kind of permit do you need to camp there?
Beautiful area. Are you willing to share coordinates? My wife and I are currently trying to find that camp spot on google earth😂
