Yup, this video had done it for me. Looking at my Del-Verb and ToneX pedal I just received because of it. Awesome sounds Paul, very happy player here. Thanks for the inspiration 🙏🏻
Well Paul I when to buy the Del Verb this weekend they also plugged in the golden for me Just to try , WOW WOW WOW! I ended up with the Golden , I simply could not believe how good it sounded The del was fantastic so much so that I could not help myself as I wanted all the Revbs in the Golden, used it with my Dig Your right Paul, Its the best reverb pedal pedal in the world, price in Aus was $550 & I would have paid 3 time that amount as its that good, thank you again Paul@@TheStudioRats
This sounds great - or better still: You make it sound great! Could you please do a video about your complete signal chain (including all the little things like picks, cables, strings, power supply etc.) That would be very interesting.
Love all the ua pedals…just the right amount of control and super high quality…my golden verb is easily the best verb in a box ive ever heard. This one is killer, too. Great stuff. Great demo paul! 👌
The DEL-VERB sounds great. I use my Tonex with a SA Collider in similar fashion and it seems to be working well. Great playing as always. All the best.
@@HappyChillmore If it helps, I chose the Collider because it has a predelay knob. As far as I can tell, most delay-reverb combos do not have predelay. That includes this one and the Fender Reflecting Pool.
I was hoping you'd review this pedal , Tomo Fujito was using one on a live stream the other night , and I thought it sounded great and was versatile ,lots of sounds , and like how it looks , I like it 👍
Hey dude, I just purchased this pedal a couple of weeks ago and I was starting to get a little bit lost in some of it. I have to say that you answered nine out of 10 of my questions! I really appreciate how you put this together, how concise and informative it was without having to show off all your speed shops yada yada yada yada😊 so I hit the like button and I'm a new subscriber and I shared this video to a friend of mine that has the same unit. I'm curious if you have an opinion on the new boss m e 90 effects system? I've got one on the way due to hit this coming Tuesday so I'm really stoked! I've looked at a ton of tutorials on TH-cam and it looked like the unit for me. As I've got limited funds and I can't go out and buy six or seven new pedals!😊 anyway just curious what your thoughts are. And again I really appreciate you posting this and I'll be looking forward to Future demos!
Wow.....this pedal is absolute quality, this appears to be the most cost effective rig out there in terms of quality. Ebay £280 Tonex brand new, UAFX Delay GAK - £265. Proper steal!
Ah, this is much more interesting than the separate UA pedals for me. A simple one-stop-shop for the basics that are great sounding. Would have liked stereo output, though..
G-R-E-A-T Video Paul! I'm building a Pedalboard that will be 99% for recording. As of now my signal chain is StroboStomp HD>Gladio SC>Julia V2>Carbon Copy>Dream '65> Apollo Interface>LPX ( I have the Lexicon 224 and 480L plugins). I saw your other Video called "My Ultimate Guitar Recording Pedalboard", and you have me thinking about ditching the Carbon Copy and Dream '65, and replacing them with the Tonex Pedal, the Del-Verb, and a yet to be determined Tremolo Pedal. So my question is........................would the proposed rig be more of an improvement, or more of a sideways move? 0:06 / 10:32 My Ultimate Guitar Recording Pedalboard
Which one is in the end of the effects chain? Are you also running this pedal before or after the Tonex? Thanks for the outstanding video and playing. Cheers from Brazil.
Think we are due a new live board update soon please 🙏 Need to get myself a direct option for live playing when I’m not aloud my amp. I will always use an amp as preference but seriously need to consider a modeller option.. Want something to pair with my analogue board and think tonex might be it??
414$ Canadian..to put reverbanddelay on everything....everything...because 414$ is alot of $$$...I have to put it on everything. Cool review, great pedal...to expensive..sorry.
Hi Paul, awesome playing and guitar tone 🤩. At the beginning I saw you were using a beautiful Gretsch Hot Rod but I couldn’t establish its color: could you tell me the exact one, and if this particular guitar which model of pickup mounts? Thx and see you from Italy 🇮🇹😃🤟🏼🎸
I have no idea how you were able to get that Tonex to sound that good. I bought one and had it for a few days, but couldn't get many usable sounds out of it, and certainly none that I wanted to play for any length of time. That tone you got sounds pretty great.
Any units presets are nver great/ You have to spend some time building the tones YOU want. The tonex is as good as any profiler on the market ie..Kemper, Quad
Building my small board now. Have the Del Verb, so putting that on there...but want to use OD pedals with a DLX amp. (real) If you are going to use your board here, do you just go to PA?
The sounds are excellent. Unfortunately, there are no presets in the app for a dotted 8th (it seems to be quarter note or bust), which is one of those delays that are just uber handy for covers gigs. I was thinking this might replace the Starlight and Flint on my smallest board, but not going to happen. Even better, I wonder if UA could add a preset that is a quarter into a dotted 8th like the Starlight has (perhaps using the delay and verb engines in the Del-Verb so the user has to go without verb or use their amp verb for that preset). I’m pretty sure that this combination is also the Andy Timmons ‘Halo’ setting, which actually sounds like it has verb even when it doesn’t, so that preset would be good for more than just U2 songs… EDIT: well done UA for adding the tweak to have delay and tap rather than just delay and verb.
Greetings, a question, in this verb pedal that is at the end of the effects chain? the delay at the end? or the reverb at the end? greetings from Puerto Vallarta
Very first thing played was the melody from "Vincent" by Don Mclean. Not a fan of his but the melody of that song is stunning. I produced a finger style guitarist's album about 13 years ago. I kept telling him, "Play less. Leave space. Let the melody breathe." Turned out absolutely achingly beautiful.
I would like a non biased opinion and demo comparing this setup with a Collider pedal from Source Audio. I don’t own any of this gear so l have no opinion.
I’d like to see that, too. I have the Collider and it has incredible fidelity. I did not go with the Del-Verb because it does not have a predelay knob. The downside of the Collider for me are the controls. The reverb and delay sides use the same knobs, so you have to constantly switch the selector between them, and it’s very easy to forget and mess up your settings. There are also multiple control knobs on the Collider that vary by setting, so you have to remember what they do for each of the 12 settings or keep opening the manual, which is frustrating. All that said, I’m guessing the quality of each pedal is comparable, so you would get this one if you prefer simpler controls.
I have bought 2 of these and each one keeps switching the effects off and back on again a few secs later not impressed with UA new gear should work as expected any ideas on a fix ive done factory resets but still pedal dies for a while as per the 1st one i had?
I have since found out from a kind soul on utube that even though the pedal should operate at 400ma 9vdc it needs more ma so i have plugged in a TC electronic adaptor 630ma and pedal works fine!!!
Sound fantastic as ever Paul! You can now take out your Matchless Independence and UA Apollo times based effects in just two pedals - incredible where guitar tech is today. 🎸
@@BradRockerIt is and isn’t. Yeah it’s subjective. There have been several instances for me to do that actually and the Collider has been invaluable to me for that at those times. Plus having a switcher to do something like the Boss ES 8

That is correct.
