Boys well done for doing this! I performed the abseil myself earlier this year - I cannot BELIEVE how calm you were pushing off the top - I was in pieces!!!!
The absailing I did a year ago when I was 14 involved walking down a waterfall in the middle of the jungle...I had to step on the rocks and flail helplessly as I crashed against the rocks so i was confused when this one only involved being lowered down
I literally am watching this in 2017! Where now they are climbing down there is actually a slide which is really fun!!!! I couldn't see the slide when they filmed it! Is it there?
There is absailing where you walk down a building, cliff, etc and then there is free absailing which is when you lower yourself down, usually when your legs can't reach the structure

Because it could have got stuck, in the way or the wind could have blew it strong which could be dangerous

Yes bc I'm German and in Germany we have the word "abseilen" which stands exactly for what they are doing there so that was a bit of an advantage
I've done it, I was 11 and almost pooped myself ( fear of heights )
I done it when I was 10 x
I was 8 when I first went abseiling

Padzie THAT IS WHAT IT IS! That structure was heigh and I am afraid of heights but I a sailed of a structure half the size of it, I walked down it.
