Even though Vil has never gotten the role of the hero in acting before I can say that he has become the hero of this story right here. He sacrificed the beauty he spent nights and days and years to perfect, imagine the amount of hard work and dedication he did to be as beautiful as he is now. He sacrificed all that to save Idia, Ortho and Grim. Even though the reason behind it isn’t heroic, we can still say he is heroic for sacrificing what he gave all his efforts into to save his closed ones. Now he understands what it is to be beautiful inside, and outside. It seems like a beautiful character development from Past Vil who mostly focuses on himself. Im glad that the characters are starting to have character developments and are becoming better versions of themselves. I’m sure, no, I know that if his father knew about this, he’d praise him like how he usually does. I’m proud of our Pomefiore Dorm Head.
It's the traits of a Morally grey characters. What they say and act is very unexpected, I was surprised when Vil jumped himself and sacrifice his own beauty to save Idia and Grim. That's a lot, even if we know the reason why.

Inside he must’ve felt so scared especially when Azul just cautioned everyone about what the Underworld can do. But even after knowing what would happen to him, he still jumped in and stop the overblot and save the three in the same time. As expected of a Dorm Leader and one of the most historical and oldest of dorms. My respect of Vil have increased a lot because of this.
For me, I never saw Vil's issue being with his physical beauty, even though it affected how he acted a lot. It's more about how people perceive him. I'm sure everyone agrees that Vil is objectively beautiful, but it's his aura and demeanor that complicates things. He has a cold, mature, timeless beauty that was built with time and isn't as warm, friendly or approachable as Neige. Vil always puts 100% effort in solving his problems (instead of whining or moping, even unlike the original Evil Queen who just tried to solve the problem by eliminating everyone prettier than her) yet compared to the 'effortlessly' loved and appreciated Neige, it's so much easier for him to be put as a villain and feared and that caused his frustration, no matter how much more beautiful he became, he could never be seen as 'pure' enough to play the role he wanted even if he was objectively better than Neige in every way (even Vil admits he was selfish to think that when Neige went through tougher circumstances.) Vil also kept his suffering alone, while Neige has a whole team supporting him. Even if in reality, no one can relate to heroes because they're superhuman in a way. Vil feels much more human even as a villain, especially to us who have maybe experienced similar struggles, who saw people get away with doing anything because they were just 'too cute to do such horrible things'. (Maybe this is why he wanted to pit Epel against him). The moment Vil did something 'ugly' (try to poison Neige) he panicked and OB'd because it's like he accepted his public image as a 'villain' and convinced himself that this impure, ugly action would taint his image forever (sound familiar, happens a lot to famous people in real life?). Lots of people pointed out that his OB outfit looks like the Virgin and I think it adds to the image. Contrasted with Idia who although super motivated to bring his brother 'back' and try to reset the world, is otherwise unmotivated to do anything because 'my fate is already sealed, what does it matter'? Vil is my favorite and this chapter just burned the fire in my heart for him more.

Not to get too personal, but when you grieve or have gone through losing someone, the 'illusion' of life is broken. A lot of things that you seemed to care about, suddenly disappear and become unimportant. Even Idia admits it, that manga/games/anime don't even matter to him enough to make him want to go back to normal life. Even when teen Idia cried because he realized that the 'Ortho' he made is not and will never be the Ortho he had as a brother. It kind of makes me think of Astro Boy. Idia is pretty nihilistic (if that's the right word) but also disillusioned and also scared of the pain of losing other people if he got close to them, so don't even bother. It's easier to enjoy fantasy (anime/manga/games), be seen as weird, and be left alone. I thought about Robe Idia story, now that we know the backstory it makes sense. When Idia got so angry because of Malleus asking him why it even matters that Idia promised Ortho to wear the robes and do the ceremony, and Malleus called it meaningless. Idia got angry because that's how he felt deep inside, said back to him. It is meaningless because the real Ortho isn't there to see it. And never will be. And yet he uses robot Ortho to try and overcome that feeling and be better brother for robot Ortho, that he could feel happy for a second that his 'brother' did this nice thing with him and would be proud of him. But when Malleus hit him with the reality even he's aware of (unintentionally) he just snapped and acted like everyone is out to get him. It's easier to be left alone when you act like that. Even when he doesn't respond when Ortho comforts him at the end of the story, Idia knows the real Ortho wouldn't have let him not show up and told him it's fine. But this is the situation for him now. Vil pulling Idia out of the Underworld is Idia literally letting go of not just Ortho but this nihilism.
The danger had passed and the team recovered their friends and classmates safely. Now they return to the isle of sages to get some medical care and some rest as their friends were waiting back at school.
If only I can just go there and comfort Vil saying that what he did was the most heroic thing he'd ever done and to that he prove that he is the fairest of tham all. EDIT: Don't worry guy's Vil is not gonna stay in that form for much longer. You know why.

Also, During Jamil's Overblot it was mentioned that the students were going on a holiday break which then leads to new years towards the end of the chapter where they bump into Epel. The situation then leads to Vil's chapter of the team Vocal & Dance Championship in which they mention was around the time of February meaning right now (Idia's Overblot) since it's still kinda cold I would say we're in between spring and end of Winter

He took a risk by jumping into the entrance to the underworld and ended up aging to an old man in the process. Like Azul said, if a mortal gets too close to the underworld they end aging and also end up dying. It took all of Vil's strength to get his classmates out safely.
Its like when Hercules jumped into the Underworld to save Meg at the end of the movie. As he went deeper he got older. The same happened to Vil I think.

He took a risk by jumping into the entrance to the underworld and ended up aging to an old man in the process. Like Azul said, if a mortal gets too close to the underworld they end aging and also end up dying. It took all of Vil's strength to get his classmates out safely.
I think he aged more and more as he rescued them.
Its like when Hercules jumped into the Underworld to save Meg at the end of the movie. As he went deeper he got older. The same happened to Vil I think.
