- Fishing a River I’ve never been to before along with Brody. Neither one of us have ever fished here before and I thought it’d be fun to take the aluminum boat for a spin and see if we can’t catch a few. This river sets up almost identical to a river in Indiana that we both grew up fishing that can be jam packed with fish so this is going to be a fun one. Brody might even toss his stupid tube around. Smallmouth, spotted bass, walleye, trout, largemouth, we’re down for anything that’ll bite!

Shout out to Indy!! Was on the river last weekend. Didn’t do to bad. Was around broad ripple and then up river to the keystone bridge. Went to Raccoon this weekend. Chatter bait central.

Practice in the back yard with buckets🤘
Lock your eyes where you want the lure to go. Don’t just look the general direction. Pin point where you want it. You body, arm and rod tip will line themselves up. Remember that everything follows your eyes.

Jacob, we need to set the set-up. The dual mount at the console. The bow. The wiring. Battery set-up. I know it a lot but we believe in you.
The 2nd one you caught was definitely a walleye, first one looked like it coulda been a saugeye.

Both walleye for sure. Saugeye and sauger have spots on their fins.

You mentioned White River in Broad ripple. Fished there this morning and had over 20 bass in about 4 hrs. Still a great place to fish.

I grew up and still fish a river just like that. The great shenandoah river
those are saugeye...and all those short strikes were them. im on the ohio river and its full of them. a little tip is wait for the 2nd or 3rd bump before you jack him. they like to play with the prey before they eat it. my $.02

Those were walleye/saugeye. Sauger are much darker with copper/orange saddle markings & black spots on the dorsal fin & no white tip.
Damn, those casts were all I was staring at. Have to game up my casts now lol.

In all that current I would have been flipping and pitching my tail off. Hungry or not those fish are positioned and if you hit one on the head it'll bite. Great video.

Caught a few saugers on a crank bait on the river up toward Dayton last week. They were deep to around 15 ft
Saugeye. Black pattern on dorsal with white tail.

I live only 15 minutes from the white River in Noblesville but I've yet to take my boat out on it, scared to get a fiberglass boat out on a rocky river lol.

Walleyes have white tail, so can saugeye but saugeye have spots like sauger on fins.

We always called em saugeye or saugers from SW Ohio. So I think you got it right bruh
lol , no no no, that might as well be saying just call large mouth bass small mouths and spotted bass white bass, they have names for a reason.. those were walleye , saugers have some easy to tell characteristics such as spots all over their fins. Google image, you'll see what I mean.
As you aren't sponsored by any of the sonar manufacturers, can you do a compare/contrast video of the sonars saying what you like about one compared to the other. ie, I like Lowrance for.........., but Humminbird does the better, and Garnin does this better than "X"?

That was a walleye
Those are saugeyes. The light colored one was a walleye. Being from Ohio, other than bass fishing it's all saugeye and walleye fishing
Look like walleye. No spots on fins. Last two fins on dorsal were solid black. White tip on tail. All walleye characteristics.
