That was special! It really puts what we gardeners do in another perspective. I Love it.🥰 My break is over I am planting seeds and getting things ready. I'm excited for the new growing season.🌱🌱💚
I'd been gardening for a few years, but late last year my depression was so intense that it all fell apart. Couldn't even watch gardening videos without feeling awful and guilty for it. But I woke up and decided to watch this, because I think I'm finally in a place where I can get back in there. Seeing all your interactions with the neighbours has given me a push to at least go do some clean-up and prep for planting some root veggies this week. Thank you for posting this and being a reminder of the joy that a garden can bring both the person maintaining it, as well as the people around them.
Aww, Batavia!! I teared up twice! I know you were holding back yours!! What a blessing that you needed - your garden brings so much joy to the people around you and to us! 💟💟💟
Love the interactions!! And I drive by your house almost every day and the sunflowers continue to amaze me! I can only imagine the numerous folks you get stopping by. I love it!!
You never know how big of an inspiration you can be! Good to know I'm not the only one you inspired. Ty for putting in the work and sharing the knowledge you're acquiring.
I really enjoyed this video! I love how you were shown so much appreciation for what your garden and the hard work you put into. You bring joy to those who need it in your community. Your garden is a light in the community. It makes all the hard work worth it. Keep on shining! 🌟
This was so special to watch ❤ You really do bring so much joy everywhere you go. I learned so many of my skills from you and Ben, so seeing the way people around you are also appreciating your work makes me so happy. You deserve it! Thanks for always being you, Batavia. You make this world a better place every day.
Hey! I haven't commented in a while, but Girrrrl, I got all in my feelings watching this video! You never know who you touch as you're moving about, just doing you. What a blessing to be affirmed in that way. I want you to know that I listen to your podcast regularly and I bought a tee shirt, just to support. Keep up the wonderful work!
Miss B this video was so uplifting. I believe God put you in my walkway. You’re such a joy and a bright spot in my life. (not me tearing up!) Now when are you moving to Oklahoma?? I’m ready to show you around. 🙏🏼❤️ (Yes, I’ve signed the petition 🤭)
Here I am a month later🥹. Has the moving truck left? Wait, what’s your November weather like 😊😊😊. P.S. I’m so glad I still have a couple of comments to reply to from this video as it was great to watch the ending (a real pick me up) 💚!
Awwww I love the interaction with your neighbors…I didn’t realize your garden was on your front yard…it’s obvious you are having an incredibly positive impact on your neighborhood….yoy should really be proud of what you are doing neighbor. Also your corn looks amazing, is corn hard to grow here in Chicago?
Thanks Alfred! My neighbors continue to pour into me. 💚 I wouldn't say it's hard to grow here. I am trying to figure out how early and how late we can plant and still get a nice harvest 😊.
Really nice this is community. We need it more. I try communicate with my Neighbors but found garden sometimes presents discussion. I was brought up to speak to people no matter what. Thanks so much for sharing . Happy Gardening.
Hey there I’m new to your garden and you have a beautiful garden. I can see people who stopped by saying how beautiful your garden looks and appreciate it. Sorry about some of your plants getting eaten and great taking care of them also harvesting them too. Thanks for sharing.
It's amazing what your garden has done and is doing for others and you. It's, more than peppers and tomatoes. I'm encouraged to press on. I'm in a totally new place/country. My garden is totally different than what I've been used to and know. No harvest to share. I must learn to garden differently with what I have and where I am. I'm enjoying watching you. 💚🍅🫑🧄🌻
The teacher who stopped to give you appreciation brought tears to *my* eyes. How wonderful.
Mine too. Even later when I was editing, I was still a choked up by it. 💚
If this isn't the definition of a community garden. Bringing true people in the community together. I don't know what is.
All the feels😊😊😊
All the feels indeed💚💚💚
Feels good to be appreciated for all you do for your community as well as yourself. Good job!😊

You have such great neighbors. I wish I could garden in my front yard too but it's way to shady. I can barely grow grass.
They really are great! And I wish everyone could have a front yard garden😔.
Imagine the first person who saw corn smut and thought “I’m gonna put this in my mouth”
🤔😂🤢
lol, I couldn't get myself to try it😊 I still have some corn so maybe I'll get another chance 😊😊.
