Capsaicin is literally the thing that make food "burning hot spicy"
The best remedy against that is cold milk.
The sugar, fat, and protein in the milk will help wash away some of the capsaicin.
Swish the milk like a moush wash.

    • @pony26
      @pony26 5 วันที่ผ่านมา +5

milk isnt actually that great as its actually, on average, 87% water. Believe it or not, key lime pie is the best remedy for heat. Or a mix of drinking a lime simple syrup with honey and then a spoonful of peanut butter.

    • @teacozy

Lol, my country banns everything 😂 we do have very strict food controls, though, for which I'm honestly glad. They also control if companies try to lie with their consumables. Like, when they say their olive oil is extra virgine, they literally test it if it's true. They even control the labels etc. Like, if the company says their olive is from some specific province in Italy, they check the legitimately.
I ordered some twinkies to test from amazon before though..lol.
But, you can get other products from hostess in special shops that sell stuff from around the world.

1:57 Part of the reason they likely say it may not cause harm is because we can't do testing on humans, and sometimes rat and mice studies are wrong!
Not in that they contain incorrect findings, but that they sometimes are not applicable to humans.
It's important to remember still we are two (or three) separate species, and there are differences in our morphology that will create different results in tests. I was in a behavioral and neuro genetics class this past semester, and we were shown an actual example of how these rat/mice studies may not be accurate to humans, as the example we saw the results for humans and mice were complete opposites of each other. (If people have any interest in that study, I can go back through my notes and see if I can find it from there)

I had the three times hot noodles once, they had a package with powder and that sauce, which was nearly black. I used all of the powder (it was mostly flavor and not very hot) and just a third of that sauce package and that was pretty spicy, but ok. I like that California and other jurisdictions are at least giving the companies a period of adjustment. That's pretty crazy stuff regarding PEZ. I'm not surprised by the meat products that are banned in some countries as the EU is VERY stringent when it comes to these things. Let's just say the chaos caused by things like Mad Cow and Foot and Mouth disease has made them vigilant.
As a Canadian I remember when KD removed the offending food coloring. A LOT of people lost their cool over it but honestly as we saw in this video the noodles look pretty much the same. I gotta try that KD hack though!
Also vegetable oil in soda.....That's just WEIRD! That Orange Drop looks like nuclear pee!

Why do they need so much time to reformulate some basic food dyes? Just replace them with non-banned alternative dyes. When the dye is even needed in the first place.

I can’t even eat the off brand Walmart Mac n cheese anymore, not sure when I noticed the weird taste, but I’ve had to switch over to the actual brand. Not sure why🤔 maybe once I got pregnant I thought it was gross? It happened to chicken nuggets, milk, and I think packaged ham. So who knows. This was a fun video to watch. I love most of these foods (some I haven’t heard of though)

Banning buldak for containing capsaicin is a bit weird to me. What might be usefull is a warning that it might be too spicy or can cause nausea if not used to spicy foods. I tried to find capsicin concentration compaired with chilli peppers but could find it (if someone soes please share). It is true that capsaicin is a "neurotoxin" because it can reversibly inhibit pain receptors. reversibly means they need a while but they get their full function back. Capsaicin is used to numb neuropathic pain (pain caused by nerve damadge) but it needs quite a few applications and the pain comes back after one to a few months. So what I am trying to say is I doubt that these noodles are more dangerous then a very hot pepper.

Hormones and antibiotics are not allowed in poultry in the united states, Whether they are labeled that way or not. Personally , I pay more to purchase pasture raised chicken and eggs.

I'm not sure why they need until 2027 to reformulate food products with Red 3 - it's already banned in the EU and Del Monte sell the fruit cups there.

Red 3 to 5 are banned pretty much anywhere in the EU. They were linked to hyperactivity and concentration problems in children in the 90s and basically all sodas are now coloured by natural extracts.
UK Fanta being coloured by Carrots and natural pumpkin colourings.
