Not really tho, because they bait and switched us, Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV, all these streamers- are basically the new "TV" it started out as a new thing, but not now, you can't binge new shows no more, they got everybody on the streaming train and then reverted BACK to a TV format of slow drip/ weekly episodes- where you got to watch one new episode a week, they are even splitting seasons in two parts now dragging a season out for MONTHS!....plus all the streamers are owned by the old networks

We live in a global economy, and there are only a few actors that appeal to a worldwide box office. Gatekeepers like Oprah Winfrey, Tyler Perry, Shonda Rhimes, and Lee Daniels have done very little to develop new black talent under the age of 30.
It's because Diddy Tyler and Oprah raped and pimped all the blk entertainers and made future generations not want to partake. So that's why there's a shortage in that market. They demanded a piece of everyone until there was only a trickle left.
Hollywood is done in general. Look at how many movies that went to theaters that lost money the last 4 years. At least 70%
It's been over 10 years and we still don't have the next generation of bankable Actors to take the mantle from the 90's and 2000s stars. Hollywood is too busy with remakes and the nostalgia of the 60 and 70 year old actors we grew up on.

We all have to understand that movie, tv, and music has changed so much over the years. It used to be the only way to produce anything or even put out music would be through a major label. That’s not the case anymore. People want to watch movies at home now, that’s why streaming platforms are popular now. So it’s not lack of talent, it’s that there is way more access to things now.
By the way, John David Washington is an amazing actor and Director. Michael B. Jordan is a great director and still growing, Ava DuVernay didn’t touch a camera until 35 and killing it.

They gave Wesley a small part in Deadpool 3 because it was a cameo. But if you pay attention to fan reception, you'd see that a lotta people wanna see Wesley come back to lead another Blade film. And we still have Mahershala's Blade (for now) that fans were already excited for. In fact, Wesley's Blade movies have been getting a lot more love these days and I'm glad its been getting new fans. It was already a successful franchise, but many people still didn't see it at the time it came out.
There's still a love for Black Hollywood. We just need to start making better movies again. And that goes for everybody to be honest. Even regular Hollywood is goin downhill cause they don't make movies like they used to. Its been a pretty huge issue for some years now and its pissing fans off. The only movies that have really been making money at the box office is comic book movies, and even they aren't making movies like they used to 5-10 years ago. Hopefully it all gets back on track though or we gone have to start looking elsewhere for good content. I've seen fan made stuff on TH-cam better than some of the stuff I see in million dollar films. But I agree in particular about there not being many black movies/shows like it used to be. There's no classic black films anymore really. And I think a large part of that falls on us as a people. As much as I respect him, I'm not interested in Tyler Perry movies anymore. They not even as good as they used to be. Its gotten way too cheesy and cringe worthy to the point that it feels like I'm watching a fantasy. Did yall see that last movie with Meagan Good? It wasn't good. I'm not interested in remakes either, or reboots to classics that just mess it up. I don't mind sequels but they don't always hit. Bad Boys is the only one that really stayed successful. Coming to America 2 wasn't that good. It felt like a SNL parody of itself. Beverly Hills cop 4 from what I'm hearing wasn't that great either. We don't get no more Wayans movies or Spike Lee movies. Ice Cube don't make much anymore either. We all need to start making good stuff again and stop the pandering and political agendas. The audience is there, trust me, but we tired of looking at trash.

Bad Boys was great. Tyler Perry won't do movies like that. His movies cater to Women. John Singleton is dead he made Baby Boy and other classics like Boys in the Hood. There's not many left unless Hollywood let me in. My Creativity is through the roof!
