  • In this video I will show you how to clean and lubricate a bathroom faucet handle that is sticking and not turning easily. They get mineralization build up and calcification within the handle, and need to be cleaned from time to time. This will help them loosen up and function much better.

I have what looks like same faucet but it was frozen and handle just would not come off. It was 10 years old so decided to purchase a new one at $109. Yours looked fairly new so worth cleaning it up.

I seriously can't thank you enough for posting this! I have the exact same faucet and it was super stiff. I knew the posts under the handles had to turn, but was afraid I'd do it wrong and break them. I actually used silicon spray for under the handle and inside to lubricate and protect against corrosion.

You’re welcome and and good idea using the silicone spray. That should do the job!

Now I get why my identical faucet has been stuck for quite a while. I had a plumber look at it who said: : jeah, that's not worth fixing. You have to replace it." Replacement for new faucet $110. Labor quoted $550. I said, what? that's 50 bucks less as the charge to move an kitchen island sink, faucet lines, refrigerator water line, dishwasher and plumbing extensions 2 feet back! Why is this price so high? I saw him hunt for a reason. He came up with "well, because the company guarantees the labor so everything must be new."
    Wow, I must look gullible.
I told him that the YT videos show items are easily repairable for the cost of labor and nominal parts. I sent him packing and dropped his so-called guaranteed plumbing services.
Thank you and all the people like you for saving us from shisters thieves and sharks.😊

Ha ha, you got it. Plumbers like him probably hate me! That's an insane price.

My problem is different. The bottom part of the right handle moves with the top part.
I took it apart, cleaned with 1:1 water:vinegar, and still cant get the bottom part to stay still.
So I removed the left handle, then installed it back and it worked.
I have a feeling something broke in the right handle 😢
Thanks for the video! Lots of health

After you remove the screw you have to pull hard to separate the lever from the rest of the handle.

They can really get stuck with mineral deposits. You can always put a rag on it and use pliers! Just be careful to not scratch the surface.
