Spiritual only if it's in HELL. Che Guevara was a bloodthirsty murderer, they try to create an ideology of struggle for a cause, but research his history.

“Hatred is the central element of our struggle! Hatred that is intransigent...hatred so violent that it propels a human being beyond his natural limitations, making him violent and cold- blooded killing machine...We reject any peaceful approach. Violence is inevitable. To establish Socialism rivers of blood must flow! The imperialist enemy must feel like a hunted animal wherever he moves. Thus we'll destroy him! These hyenas are fit only for extermination. We must keep our hatred alive and fan it to paroxysm! The victory of Socialism is well worth millions of atomic victims!”

the motorcycle diaries is of my favourite books of all time. ive heard of guevara and had a general idea of him before reading but the book felt so personal. he had the choice to live his life in peace being a doctor yet he left it behind in doing what he thought was the right thing. history will be kinder to Guevara.

Wether you like “Che” or not , this movie is a visual masterpiece. The landscapes and the places shown are worth the watch.

It was hell of a movie
Characters with such intimacy and realness

Fernando - That’s only your narrow brainwashed view. Sometimes, for the sake of change and progress some people must perish, as in the French Revolution, and war isn’t always fair, lots of people involved with different degrees of ideas.
You must look at the bigger picture and analyze the fact that he could have had a privileged comfortable life with his family, carry on as a doctor and build his wealth as his family did, but instead he chose to fight and care for those who didn’t have a place in society and couldn’t aspire at anything better.

Films like this are extremely important. Why? Because it shows the man behind the legend is a human being. But it also shows how how flawed we truly are as people. Somewhere along the way... Castro and Guevara changed overnight once they overthrew Bautista (who was just as bad if not worse.) They both had aspirations and ideals to bring the Cuban people together and prosper. But that failed. My question is... why did it fail?? Is it because the adage of power corrupts? Is it because they became scarred from what they’ve seen? It doesn’t make sense. Every time I try to make sense of what happened. I get more confused.

Alberto Granado was a doctor in Venezuela, then moved to revolutionary Cuba and helped to create the Third World's best health care system. (This achievement is all the more remarkable when you consider how many of Cuba's doctors left the country in the revolution's early years!) In the end, he accomplished more than Che!

"No-one can know the outcome of a revolution" - Ted Kaczynski
From reading Motorcycle Diaries it's abundantly clear Che's good intentions + desire for justice never foresaw the absolute mess that Communist countries became.
Successful causes for change have only one ultimate, specific and measurable goal. It's a lesson shown to us by history which none of us should forget.
