In your opinion, is it not too crowded with the given number of participants and the road width + hazards along the road.? I saw a few other crit events held in western especially in other channels, they're not too crowded as this + the road is very wide.
For this race, participants were around 50, not much since mostly were state riders and if there were many people participating, most likely the race organizers would split the same category in to two before competiting in a third one to win, this is usually the case for other crits i did in the pass. For the road, it wasn't really good compare to other crit especially western, there were minor potholes, sand in some corners, debree and even a dog on the course. I think for Malaysia crits and races, there should be more of it, since there are less races in Malaysia therefore there's a lot of people racing in this types of races when the news pops up about a race, maybe if someone would find a nice spot to do a crit, privately and host it with or without the prize money, it wouldn't be a bad idea afterall like how westerners do. Though one difference from western crit race is that their crits tend to be longer in time and distance like 50KM or or an hour long and a half crit race unlike our Malaysia style 15KM-20KM or 20 minute to 40 minute criterium races, though I hope someone would eventually do it.
