Churdhar peak is well known for the giant statue of Lord Shiva that resides at the top of the peak.
The Churdhar Trek is a moderate to difficult trek, at an altitude of 12,000 feet, and the first hour of the trek is quite challenging, with steep, rocky slopes.
The peak has a great religious significance for the people of Sirmour, Shimla, Chaupal and Solan of Himachal Pradesh and Dehradun of Uttarakhand.
