This is the saddest OST in the show imo. The fact that they finally got to the ocean, and all Eren can think about is how pointless everything truly was.

This the moment Eren broke. Not when he saw the memories, or when learned the truth. It was when he finally saw the thing he fought for his entire life become a lie. He had hope, even after finding out the truth. But it all was lost the second he saw the ocean.
At this moment, he realised that everything he saw was the truth. That the end of this story would only come with him fulfilling the future that he saw. All to carry on the duty of the Attack Titan to achieve freedom. In death, even after death.
I remember that he specifically said that he was disappointed when he learned that there are people, alive people living outside the walls and outside the ocean.
This scene always reminds me of that moment in growing up, of the disillusionment of ones hopes and ambitions. How I wish I could have remained ignorant. How human, how limited I am, and how much sacrifice is needed to reach such lofty ideals or goals.
Eren was depressed watching the ocean because it confirmed that his father's memories are real. There would be a small part of him who was hoping that it's not real. But he also says "It's exactly as I saw in my dad's memories" in the anime.

Then it was revealed that his own friends were the one's who destroyed the walls, then it was revealed that all the mindless Titan's were actually human beings trapped against their will. Finally, upon reaching the basement, the truth about everything was revealed through the notes of Grisha Yeager. Before this revelation, the outside world was a mystery to everyone in the walls, and one of Eren's goals was to see that world. But it wasn't like the world depicted in Armin's book, no, what was actually out there was a world much much worse than anyone could've imagined. It was a world controlled by the same people who sent the Titan's to slaughter them, a world where they were thought of as monsters that needed to be wiped out, and a world in which children were fed alive to dogs. That brings us to the beach, while everyone was in awe at the vast ocean and its beauty, Eren was not. Instead, he was starting off into the horizon because he knew what was coming, that all of this fighting and sacrifice was for nothing. Beyond the walls is the ocean, and beyond the ocean is freedom, that's what Eren believed, but he was wrong. Because just on the other side, lies their true enemy, and with this Eren asks: "If we kill all our enemies on the other side, will we finally be free?" At that moment, the truth finally set in for me, the Titan's were just a prelude to what was really out there and now the real war was about to begin. One of the greatest ost’s in all of anime. I can’t properly describe how much emotion swells up in me not only when listening to this, but along with factoring in the context in which it’s first used.
From the moment he got back to the basement until the end of the story, "T-KT" becomes the theme of Eren Jaeger. It perfectly embodies the character and what goes through his mind: the delusion and disappointment he felt when he discovered the truth about humanity living in the outside world, that his enemies were not human-eating monsters but actual humans, that the world was not like the book of Armin's grandpa described, that the freedom he imagined it existed over the walls was a lie. This song MUST be played in the adaptation of chapter 131. There is no other way to deliver all of this in THAT scene!
I don't know everyone is just talking about the show, but nobody's talking about this music. The show is amazing, but this is legitimately one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard.
Man just think if in final scene where the bird wrap scarf around mikasa this ost was used then that moment would have been even more emotional than it already was
Armin is truly one of the bravest. His love for Eren and his friends is unconditional. He was ready to give up his dream of reaching the ocean, one which he had since he was a little boy. It was the only thing which drove him forward, but he was ready to sacrifice that for Eren. Truly an amazing character. "I want to entrust everything to Eren. My dream, my life, everything…what I can abandon now are only these. If it’s Eren, he’ll definitely reach the ocean, and he will see it on my behalf."
armin eren erwin are the most beautifully bravest,,eren ep 5 sacrifice himself for armin, armin entrust eren in hero ep,in the last chapter of aot eren entrust armin, armin become the hero, erwin entrust levi...a beautiful duo
I especially love the very start of this song. The strings crescendos then decrescendos. Slowly appears to its loudest then eventually fades away. Like the waves of the ocean, finally reached the beach but are destined to fade away due to gravity. It ceaselessly tries to reach its end goal; although succeeds for a split second, but can never stay forever. It's almost like Eren's pursuit of freedom. He constantly chases after it and fights for it. But every time he approaches it, there's always something that is dragging him away from it, something that infringes his right to freedom. Therefore Eren has to continue fighting, sacrificing things he treasures and undergoes pain. But after all, he has the right to be free because he is "born into this world" and he will not stop moving forward until he is free
rewatching the series and listening to this soundtrack genuinely made me cry. Eren they can NEVER EVER make me hate you. Truly the best series (not just anime) I've ever seen. Rest in peace to the one who became the devil to save the ones he loved.
Season 3: Good Ending Season 4: REAL ending. Someone could either stop here and think: That was a happy ending, or keep reading/watching, and be hit by the harsh reality
I don't think the end of season 3 was a happy ending. "Over the walls is the ocean. And beyond this ocean lies freedom. That's what I always believed. But I was wrong. The only thing we'll find out there is the enemy. (...) If we kill all our enemies... out there... will we finally... be free?" sounds kinda depressive to me. But it's a good way to end the show in a sense
S3 would be a cliffhanger ending. Wouldn't be bad, but it would leave so many things unanswered and the fandom would basically have to finish the story themselves.
This OST is the summary of all the emotion when this series is coming to an end real soon. This show is so beautifully made in all aspects. I hope AoT will help everyone to live with a will in this beautiful but yet still cruel world. Shinzou.. Sasageyoo...!
Best narrative ever written. For a 1000 reasons but this scene is 1 of the best. All the side characters happy while the main character is sad cuz he knows he's gonna have to kill countless people to obtain Thier freedom. Beautiful song to compliment that.
Hey... If we kill all our enemies... over there... will we finally... be free? Metaphorically, this is life. Every arc’s end gives birth to the next. Life is a constant struggle to exist and only ends when we die. Man I love this show.
The sad PArt is, Eren relaized that the Titans are jsut the beginning from his BAttle. He always thought, to defeat the Titans is everything he had to do for freedom. But now, he realized that the Freedom is in a far distance. His whole life was a lie
@@Joehk416 This music is to capture erens realization that all his efforts and dreams are much farther away than he hoped. What do you mean? Isayama did change his first ending of the manga. The ending was supposed to end in a similar way as the ending of the movie "The Mist".

When I first saw the final episode of season 3 and saw Eren point across the sea I didn’t understand what made that moment so special. fast forward a little bit and I watch season 4 and everything made sense Eren knew that he would have to give up everything he wished to see for his loved ones and after rewatching the show again this is one of the greatest yet subtle moments in the whole show
The Final Season has been great so far, and the episodes for Part of the Final Season, but Season 3 Part 2 still takes THE CAKE. The music, the plot, the animation, the direction, buildup from everything from the past season, the reveal, everything! I’m hoping that the Final Season Part 2 exceeds Season 3 Part 2, but I have a feeling that it won’t 😅
While all his friends enjoyed the sights and played in the salty blue water that shined when the sun was up, Eren didn’t have the same emotion as his friends, for he looked at the sea with disappointment. He pointed at the sea’s horizon and said “beyond that sea is where our enemies lies”. Pls note I forgot the actual quote correct me if I’m wrong pls 🙏
This song is just so incredibly beautiful. If you ever get a chance, to play it while over looking the most beautiful scenery you can. Please do, because it’s the most beautiful, and immersive feeling. True peace, and harmony with the earth.
You can bet Eren was hoping, and wishing it wasn't going to go down this way. But when he got to the shoreline he Knew what he would have to do. After the whole struggle, the real fight has just begun.
Listening to this over and over is breaking me idk how could a show and a music cause damage to my soul like that never cried over a show b4 and even if I wanna cry, I can't, sometime I wanna cry just to feel better, to take something out of my heart but I can't but this ost while reading last chapter I cried for the first time in years like a baby I will never forget that feeling, how sad it was, and how amazing idk what would happen to me if this was the final ost in last episode, last ost of my 9 years of AOT it would be a good ending for my whole anime journey, yeah I will watch jojo but I will never feel the same idk what I even want anymore, maybe this ost would be a good ending for my life, I want this to be the last thing I hear, I'm grateful for this. -no I won't harm myself-

THIS IS SO BEAUTIFULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL😭😭😭😭😭😭
I don't know everyone is just talking about the show, but nobody's talking about this music. The show is amazing, but this is legitimately one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard.
Man just think if in final scene where the bird wrap scarf around mikasa this ost was used then that moment would have been even more emotional than it already was
@@danielpark123 omg bro for years i wished this ost was in the last episode but the original wasn t bad either lol
Who’s here after the ending? 😢
Me
me
me
people will call me crazy but i can feel eren's pain listening to this
I especially love the very start of this song.
Beautifully said 😌✨
@@englishfesta2106 thank you 🙏🙏🙏
i was litsening to this song one more time, when i decided to scoll a bit. I'm glad i went there ;). I can relate to that feeling and vision
Such an underrated coment, wow dude
rewatching the series and listening to this soundtrack genuinely made me cry. Eren they can NEVER EVER make me hate you. Truly the best series (not just anime) I've ever seen. Rest in peace to the one who became the devil to save the ones he loved.
Season 3: Good Ending
Season 4: REAL ending.
Someone could either stop here and think: That was a happy ending, or keep reading/watching, and be hit by the harsh reality
facts
I don't think the end of season 3 was a happy ending. "Over the walls is the ocean. And beyond this ocean lies freedom. That's what I always believed. But I was wrong. The only thing we'll find out there is the enemy. (...) If we kill all our enemies... out there... will we finally... be free?" sounds kinda depressive to me. But it's a good way to end the show in a sense
S3 would be a cliffhanger ending. Wouldn't be bad, but it would leave so many things unanswered and the fandom would basically have to finish the story themselves.
Leaving it at season 3 would've been safer for Isayama but in my opinion the way the manga ended was really the only way for the show to end.
Season 3 ending is FAR from happy.
Literally got involved so much to the anime i felt every bit of pain he suffered

@@joeld5338 The best*
This is the audible definition of bittersweet. And it's fueled with a sense of purpose that's almost terrifying
The most beautiful piece of music I've ever heard.
Eren finally understood the enemies were never the titans...
His whole life was a lie
he was just one chapter away
is there some secret code encrypted in this comment or what
@@Joehk416 lmaoo
@@Joehk416 This music is to capture erens realization that all his efforts and dreams are much farther away than he hoped. He points this out as there are enemies on the other side of the sea..... hence season 4.... and then the movie which will reveal everything when eren activates the coordinate, you will see what is to come and be mind blown by what is to come......
@Thiago Moura he always had a choice, and he chose to keep pushing forward.
the man who wrote a lot of titan's theme did pretty much all the soundtrack for gundam stuff when unicorn gundam was out

Let's have shoutout for this masterpiece, The Attack on Titan was the best anime and couldn't deny it. We will surely miss this
Whenever I hear this song I think of it as a Goodbye song from Wit studios knowing this was the last scene they were going to animate
Every time I listen to this song, I feel like it reflects AOT story as a whole. Listening to this masterpiece makes me remember everything that has happened, since that first chapter right to the very end. T-KT is telling me all this story.
There's no other word other than ‘beautiful’ that can be used to describe this ost
I’m happy that Isayama didnt chg the original ending he wanted, cuz this is how an author should be, and so we can truly get to know and understand the original story from him, respect ✊
What do you mean? Isayama did change his first ending of the manga. The ending was supposed to end in a similar way as the ending of the movie "The Mist".
@@Nirrini if only that one was made instead.
@@Nirrini im really curious. So what the ending was suposed to be?

First of all it was a greatest pleasure for me to share this moment with you guys. Its been already one month but pain is still there, emptyinness is still there. But what good is we got to witness this masterpiece ❤️

When I first saw the final episode of season 3 and saw Eren point across the sea I didn’t understand what made that moment so special. fast forward a little bit and I watch season 4 and everything made sense Eren knew that he would have to give up everything he wished to see for his loved ones and after rewatching the show again this is one of the greatest yet subtle moments in the whole show
I miss aot..
Its been 7 months since it ended i cant get over it really
For real, the best chain of events that ever happened in any story that was ever written was in S3P2 of AOT
Season 3 was the best, amazingly adapted by Wit Studio. It was so special

I had Goosbumps when i hear this Music for the First time
season 3 part 2 of aot is the greatest thing i have ever watched in my life and i will carry this feeling with me till my death
@@KingX88 nah it wont come close to it. a lot of stuff depends on direction too. WIT were given a lot of time and resources but Mappa werent

While all his friends enjoyed the sights and played in the salty blue water that shined when the sun was up, Eren didn’t have the same emotion as his friends, for he looked at the sea with disappointment. He pointed at the sea’s horizon and said “beyond that sea is where our enemies lies”.

It make me a strong felling of nostalgia, they were there, but.... how are them now.... :((((
You can bet Eren was hoping, and wishing it wasn't going to go down this way. But when he got to the shoreline he Knew what he would have to do. After the whole struggle, the real fight has just begun.

I realized that these songs have this harmony that reminds me of the movements of the waves. I like it even more now. there's the piano and the other instrument that does that effect, it's like the ocean, it pushes and pulls. it's like when something falls into water and microwaves are created, resounding around.
