In this video you never actually manage to add the storage1 to proxmox, what is/was causing the error?
Yup, this simply does not work in an LXC unless you monkey around with apparmor settings at the host level; something I'm not wanting to do.
Thank you friend. im from uruguay and i trying to improve my proxmox servers
There's a really frustrating typo in the written instructions on your website. It says to start from an "unprivileged container" when your video clearly shows you unticking the "Unpriviliged container" option.
Other than that, the written instructions are great and I had everything up and running very quickly (as long as we ignore the few hours I spent trying to make an unprivileged container work).
i will look into it
Yeah theres no way to mount network shares in an unprivileged container
@@DoozyBytes Can't you add it via the main node?
this was helpful, thank you. Nice to see how popular Proxmox is.
It is getting there when i started content was hard to find
Thanks! Do you know if there is a way to create an OMV or similar over LXC ?
You can run Nextcloud in a LXC
@virtualizeeverything you're right about it. I did that previously but I'd like to have a NFS or SMB to share folders between the lxc/vms.
the best solution that find out was to user turnkey fileserver, but I would like to use an OMV in a LXC.
Got the same. Looks like nfsd module is not built in pve-kernel 😢
Nice video. Thanks!
Welcome!
I have this error during install nfs-kernel-server: "systemd[1]: Failed to mount NFSD configuration filesystem" Why?
How do you mount a zfs share from proxmox host and have the lxc manage samba and nfs shares and users and group permissions?
this video should help you do the passthrough th-cam.com/video/qa2Q7tZVol8/w-d-xo.html. This video should get you there on the NFS server and this video th-cam.com/video/7vUfEoUmEvk/w-d-xo.html will help you with smb.
I keep getting an error no matter what I do. A dependency job for nfs-server.service failed. apt install -f doesn't work
are you using a unprivileged container?
unprivileged container is not dangerous? is there not better way to give permission to the CT?
Not that I have found. I thick that if i was going to use a CT full time I would use SMB but it is good to know how to use NFS if it is ever needed.
Nice video THKs
