THE BRAZILIAN TEAM... For the Paris Dakar, the Trollers had a super support team, one of the biggest private teams that have ever been to the Dakar. The Trollers in particular had the Ranger's V6 engine, which produced +/- 160HP. However, there was a lot of improvisation: the suspension had Opala coil springs, which were not tested in Brazil, as they were left to be assembled in Europe, along with the competition shock absorbers, purchased there. Once there, the Trollers "sank"!!!... They had to get springs from a junkyard, literally, in Dakar. Thus, the Trollers used springs from old iron!!!... but, the Trollers innovated in the Dakar with the tire pressure regulation system inside the car, essential on the desert sand surface. All 4 cars finished, but one of them was disqualified, because after overturning on a dune, he had to call for help for the driver who had an accident, breaking some vertebrae in his spine... just when he loosened his belt to gain access to the wheel, poorly located!!!... I have a Troller and have had 7 Trollers since 2002.

Particularmente os Trollers tinham motor V6 da Ranger, que rendia +/- 160HP. Mas, houve muita improvisação: a suspensão tinha molas helicoidais do Opala, que nao foram testadas no Brasil, pois deixaram para serem montadas na Europa, junto com os amortecedores de competição, comprados lá. Chegando lá os Trollers "afundaram"!!!... Tiveram que conseguir molas em um ferro velho, literalmente, em Dakar. Assim, os Trollers usaram molas de ferto velho!!!... mas, os Trollers inovaram no Dakar com o sistema rodoar de regulagem de pressão dos pneus de dentro do carro, fundamental no piso de areia do deserto. Todos os 4 carros terminaram, mas um deles foi desclassificado, pois ao capotar em uma duna, teve que chamar o socorro para o piloto que se acidentou, quebrando algumas vértebras da coluna... justamente quando afrouxou o cinto para ter acesso ao rodoar, mal localizado!!!... Eu tenho um Troller e já tive ao tido 7 Trollers, desde 2002.
