Seeing the characters all animated together, how they all have their own body language and how their personalities are hinted at through subtle expressions. It’s nothing short of incredible 🥰
From a disgruntled guy telling his other-worldly housemates that they’ve killed his Henry vacuum cleaner to this and an incredible book (which I need to get if life decides to give me some spare cash). I remember way back during 2019 when the amino was still a thing and then bein a part of the discord and all that jazz. Fun times for sure. Congrats on your book btw!!

I just want to thank you publicly for putting the effort into all these models. Your designs are pretty... Being able to hear a description of the character, and then see them at the chapters end is such a helpful thing for a book such as yours, it was a great choice!
I can't believe how much the characters have changed both physically and personally wise. I have been watching Fennah's beautiful creations since Satilite City. @jacobdoswalt Considering that Locket's harsh views do still ring true, I lean more towards Methusa being the villain, at least in the most barebones of terms. Her goals seem noble but mean societal stagnation, ultimately breeding extinction. Though given how many conflicting interests and viewpoints there are in the story, I think it's more apt to say that there is no set "bad guy". Just a bunch of intelligent animals acting in their own best interests and beliefs. Some moreso than others. Lucy is out for survival, Methusa believes eliminating ill from the world is noble, Locket seeks the strengthening of the Kivouackian race, Celia is trying to understand her own mind, etc etc.

ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! The Vamabaya Gala was always my favorite part of the book and seeing this makes it my all time favorite. See how when some of the characters walked or danced it was to the beat of the song. Seeing the entire cast like Oliver, Rodger, Wyley, Silvia, Sombra, Winifred, Thallius, etc was amazing. I was watching the entire time pointing out all the characters I knew. The circling with Methusa and Locket as “life and death” was hands down my favorite part. A staggering brilliant piece. Particularly so incredibly how you use the lighting and scenery to present your amazing designs. Thank you for sharing this with us.
I love seeing the character designs as they've changed and developed through the years, and just how detailed and fascinating they've become. I feel like I always find something new that catches my eye, even on rewatching videos...like how the close-up on Lucy's eyes caught me this time, as it was the first time I noted her silver left eye has a constricted pupil like a blind eye would, which led me to backtrack and see if I'd missed that detail in other recent pieces. That, to me, is a sign of good art: it always has something else that catches the eye, no matter how often it's looked at.
I love how this doesn't have spoilers either. I'm reading the book a little each day as I settle down for bed and I'm about a third of the way through. I can't wait to read this scene though as it looks like a lot of shit goes down or its at least so tense! Animation is fantastic as always. Always gets better each time!
Watching this after having JUST finished my first reread really does hit different. When this first released it had been a few months since I finished the book, and while I loved this the first time around (and my many subsequent rewatches) with all the scenes so much more fresh in my mind I realize how accurate this animation is. Even the small details of Lucy imagining the names and stories of the fictional dancers she creates in her head is captured here. I think my favorite part is Methusa and Locket circling each other around the railing. I initially thought that was just symbolic of their battle/dance of wits and beliefs but it turns out that’s actually in the book too! When I read that part again I was like “oh, wow yeah Bernadette is super accurate.” That was my favorite shot when I first watched, and I kinda wished there was a loop of them going full circle, but the fact that it’s even in the book (alongside their literal dance) makes it even better.
This. Is. The. Most. Beautiful. Animation I have ever seen in my life. Well done, Fennah! You created another masterpiece! and thank you so much for participating! I never expected you to animate the whole song, but you went all out and did it! You are a freaking legend!

Everytime I've seen Fennah's animation... the...actual movement and designs, really strikes me as the vision i've always had for my own persona and characters. There's a finite line between animation and the canonical movement of the character, and both go quite a ways in describing that character. Can't remember the songs! But that ain't no nuthin' new!

But GOD, there’s so much emotion in Fontaine’s face during the scene with Mystique and I’ve never seen him with such a somber-looking expression. Genuinely makes me wanna know what’s up with Fontaine and Mystique and why their scene in particular was so sad. That being said, no spoilers pls!! I rlly want to read this book and find out for myself ☺️
Woah. . . .just. . .WOW! I have no words except INCREDIBLY AMAZINGLY AWESOME! Love how the characters have gained more depth in this vid. We see more of their personality just by them being themselves if that makes sense. So Cool!!
I cannot describe how MAGNIFICENT this is, the movements/body language and overall pacing of everything adding even more power alongside the music- not to mention the tonal contrast of the different scenery of the entire video is borderline mesmerizing. Its all so well paced aswell, I adore the emotion it invokes ((:0 like, holy shit!! So gorgeous!!)) *Also apologies for my subpar English, not my first language.

Lets just hope people remember that despite the Kiv's anatomical appeal, they're simply humanoid, but far from human in function.

Everyday I think about this animation and how far the characters and the story have come. I haven’t read the book yet and I’m planning to get it someday soon!
Not me commenting on a live YEARS ago, asking fennah to make a rabbit looking character ONLY TO SEE HER?? GOD I NEED THIS BOOK
Woah. . . .just. . .WOW! I have no words except INCREDIBLY AMAZINGLY AWESOME! Love how the characters have gained more depth in this vid. We see more of their personality just by them being themselves if that makes sense. So Cool!!
The absolute expression in the animation is just beautiful! Everything is so fluid and gorgeous~!
Definitely the best birthday present ever~! 💜
Can never get enough of this. So needs a tv series!!!
Это великолепно!!! Я жду вашу книгу анимированную целиком. Читать - одно, а увидеть - другое. Великолепно! 🎉
Я бы лучше почитал но на русском ее нет увы.
3:39 ❤ My diva need more screen time. Amazing animation.
Harlow slayed those dance moves💅💅
what a tremendous shift to discover this while binge-watching Betsy Lee's No Evil series for the hundredth time. Just ordered the book too!
I have no idea what im watching but wow each character looks so unique and captivating
What a way to end the year! Bravo!
So gorgeous!!))
*Also apologies for my subpar English, not my first language.
