@@dr.rabinmbbs8276 bro casting of mahabharata started in 1985, when govinda was not in industry he was a struggler juhi chawla was draupadi amrishpuri for kans amitabh bachchan for krishnas role kumar gaurav for arjuns role sanjay dutt for karnas role mahabharta was suposed to be a film but br. chopra understood a film cant show complete mahabharta in 3hrs so by 86 he decided fresh casting & towards end of 87 he started shooting for it. their shooting locations were goregaon film studio borivali & panipat for kurukshetra war. the budget went over 9crores but the response from audience all over india abroad were tremendous people never got out of houses while mahabharta was on. all actors actresses became popular in films also later on.
