I don't really like the follower dungeons. I mean it's an online multiplayer game not a online single-player game. What's next? Follower raids? It wasn't needed in my opinion. For the rest fun little patch. Excited for Gilneas.
Is this the patch that lets you unlock any transmog item when you loot it, even if it's not usable by your current character? Been out of the loop for a while on WoW
If this gets rid of you have unspent dragonriding talents on my alts despite that not being the case and having done the current story, am for it. Follower dungeons are cool. Am at 36 70s so have been capping as many as I can.
Changing covenant spells to be class themed and not shadowlands themed is great for most of them, but on the PTR at least the Paladin Divine Toll no longer has the iconic super loud bell sound. I _really_ hope they put that sound back on it, or let us change it back with a glyph. It felt _so good_ to press that button thanks to the sound, especially as Prot when you're sending 3 Avengers Shields out.
agreed, but just fyi you can create a weak aura that makes a sound when you cast an ability! so if they don't add it as a glyph, you can do it yourself :)
I think it would be amazing if they made it to where your alts could fill in the spots for the follower dungeons. I don't see why they couldn't do that at least eventually. Then you could go through dungeons as a party with all your own characters.
What you’re describing is called multiboxing which can result in penalties so they would have to change their “End User License Agreement” to make that change. Which they won’t do because they’re already making a new system to gear alts by allowing some gear to be bind on account and having a shared bank between alts.
Just visually will be perfect! Gear/spell can be the same as "normal" follower for balance purposes for all I care. It will be awesome as long ad they visually look like your alts. Perfect fit alongside the warband feature as well.
Dragon riding is being reduced to 85% OF the dragon riding speed, not down to 85% speed. That makes old world dragon riding speed about +690% increased mount speed above the standard +100% ground speed, down from +830% mount speed that dragon isles has. That’s why it doesn’t feel much different, because it’s still fast.
I'm looking forward to all of these, but I'm especially excited about the Follower Dungeons. It's going to be nice to learn the dungeon without feeling pressured or worried you're gonna get kicked cause you don't know the mechanics yet. And I'm also one of the players who likes to watch the cinematics and watch the story progress. Another plus. I personally don't care that we can't do dynamic flying yet. I'm good with just the dragonriding across the world for now. It's gonna make doing legacy content so much easier and quicker. 😁
A few questions just for curiosity sake. Are you new to the game? Coming back late or havent learned the dungeons even though its basically at the end of the game. Also i suppose you can learn the mechanics but its so easy you might as well do a heroic those are so easy as well you can barely learn things.
I've been playing since Vanilla, but I usually don't run dungeons until a week or more after the new expacs have dropped due to time constraints. By then, majority of the players know the dungeons and mechanics and I'm still trying to figure them out. This will make it less stressful for me. When I join a dungeon or raid, I want to make sure I'm not a burden to my party. This will help. ☺ @@maxpowers4436
They can learn the mechanics in follower dungeons then try heroic or normals. We barely havent even had follower dungeons and people are asking for them in 0s? Really dumb imo.
The fact that there may be any toxic players in a M0 dungeon makes me smh. These dungeons aren't even difficult in the least. Anyone putting unreasonable expectations on someone in a M0 is an arse.
The npc mode is absolutely fantastic. Blizz should have done that years ago. A perfect way to train yourself for the real thing if you are new or scared to try with people or you have no guild. It would be great even with no loot. I would love to see it in raids too, again, even with no loot. For example that would help my wife who is a noob healer.
I really hope the retaking of gilneas will give worgen players a cool recolour of their heritage armour, like they did with night elves, or perhaps a better looking thematic set

Would be nice if they finally added a "Quest Text Size" feature so we can make the Quest texts bigger. Currently this is only possible if we resize the whole UI. Also being able to move the Quest window would be great too.
Love the warlock pet customization, but we really should be expecting more if "NEW CUSTOMIZATION" is going to be touted as a feature of every single patch and they're just passing around hair colors between all the races. Undead, Blood Elves and Humans still have borked customization, single pages or in the human's case, requiring the player be black or asian to have 'generic face scar' when Orcs and Night Elves manage to have scars as their own drop menu
It will be a lot slower to level unfortunately. The bonus exp for doing a random dungeon with people is usually 75% of the total exp gain which you won’t get with follower dungeons but at least you can have a choice now :)
They need to remove the 10s cooldown on Soar. Not gonna be able to use Soar as your go-to mount since you'll dismount, then gather and have to sit there and wait to Soar again if the nodes are close together.
Soar is ob a cooldown wich Ticks as soon AS you fly Meaning If you're not trying to soar for 2 Seconds collect Something and soar again for 2 Seconds you will have no Problem and instantly use it again

You might not run in to that issue while questing since the fights will consume the remaining 5 seconds or so of the CD if you did a short fly, but gathering you'll feel it a lot more since like I said, if nodes are close together you'll land and gather but might still have 4 or 5 seconds left. Wholly unnecessary thing to be there in the first place.
The thing about dragonriding is it isn't actually level locked, it is automatically unlocked as soon as you get to the Isles so if you were say summoned by a Warlock into Valdrakken at level 10 you'll get dragonriding early.

I really hope there will be a port to Gilneas so that the Alliance has a quicker way to the AV area for the Christmas daily quest. It was a real pain taking a port to SW to Boralus to IF, and then fly for 5+ minutes on a gryphon, just to fly another minute or so to defeat the Greench just so my Highland Drake could get a sleigh saddle and a bright red nose. Otherwise, it's just gonna be content that people do once, and then the Alliance never sets foot there again...except for RP reasons, I guess.
I tanked a follower dungeon on the PTR and done as big as possible a pull to see how the healer would handle it, and let me tell you that bot got some sweat on 110010010011001110 😂 On a serious note though, I think they will eventually apply it up to at least default mythic difficulty. Would be great for knocking out the mythic dungeon completion achievements on an expansion launch night, which is what I always like to do after hitting level cap.
i really wish they'd add an incentive to do old quests in non-dragonflight zones. because there's so much of the game that goes unused. you could make a new character and quest but it'd be cool if it was part of the end game content. they could do a timewalking weekly except with quests instead of duengons. either that or make the world keep scaling up to 70 like it does with chromie.
Patch 10.2.5 is looking good! Saw some mention that the bell sound from Divine Toll was removed, hopefully that's brought back. But that looks to be the only problem so it's looking great! I hope they continue to develop the new Night Elf capital over time, changing it from the town it currently is to an actual city.
Did they ever fix the big bag sorting? Like when you clicked the sort button the items were all over the place and you couldn't change where it fills up from.

I am really hoping follower dungeons eventually expand to m+ with affixes even if they don’t drop gear but do replace raider IO with “Wauren did a 18+++ BH solo follower dungeon as preservation” or whatever so people who are picking players can get some actual useful data

Follower Dungeons is a cool feature, but i think it would be awesome if we could somehow incorporated brining our alt toons into that system to help them get gear and xp.
The XP is far from the same in follower dungeons as you get something like -10% per NPC in your group and it does take a lot longer. But it's still a great way to learn healing and tanking but I wouldn't use it to lvl. I hope they realize how silly it is to punish players for something they put in the game for them to use, and correct that at some point.
Its wild they're not updating Shamans Ascendancy or Paladins Guardian of Ancient Kings, but theyre updating covenant abilities first. At least they're doing something I guess?
Dungeon followers is the best thing to be added in years, but it's an odd double edged sword - fantastic for working people who like the casual playing, but also speaks to the wildly toxic environment the game has. Another option would simply to have a more relaxed filter on the finder. But to be honest, the less I have to listen to screaming 15 year olds that don't have time for you to learn mechanics instantaneously the better.
I’m curious about the Iridikron / Vyranoth questline. It would be sick if Iridikron killed her. This whole expansion was way too soft and fluffy and ending it on such a dark note would be a cool foreshadowing of the dark times that are to come.
I can't wait to fly as dracthyr and learn some cool tricks with their dragonriding. I think their smaller size will help visually, if not by game physics themselves. Also I really want to dragonride on older expansions
I see follower dungeons as being something good for the game. I understand the need to cap at 10 runs to curb botting, but yeah the bots just don't run below 70 with the level boost anyway.
Idk what is the problem with Blizzard and the worgen tails, is so easy to add a couple of quest to get those, i mean we are faking dogs, dogs have tails, even the space goats and the cows have tails, come on man.
Does the Manuscript of Endless Possibilities also use the full transformations? My hope is that Blizzard provides a way to make those either their own mounts or a toggle we can enable/disable on the fly, because its nice to be able to switch and enjoy them all without having to go to a rostrum.

Mythic 0 (and 2-6) being added to LFG has to be the next step, normal mode NPC dungeons is fine for that section of the community who otherwise never touches dungeon content but I think M0 being behind group finder is a massive wall for huge swathes of the playerbase who have never completed a +2 key achievement. Fingers crossed they let Demon Hunters 'dragon ride' fly around eventually, feels great on evoker
Or they can just join 1 in like 1 second. Mythic dungeon rewards week there are about 1000000 0s being run. You can only hold peoples hand so much if they cant simply press 2 more buttons instead of one its a lost cause.
@@maxpowers4436 This feels ignorant to history, Blizzard themselves said that less than half the playerbase did DUNGEONS at all before LFG came in during wrath, and that was super easy mode faceroll dungeons with zero mechanics, I have to imagine the numbers were imensely higher than that for LFR in Cataclysm. I understand m0 are completely nothing content, normals and heroics are completely useless, thats even more reason to add as little friction as possible into getting people into that m0-6 situation. It doesn't matter how easy something is, the playerbase is a cancer, you can run every m0 with a ful group of level 68 characters in greens if you want to but getting into them as a fresh 70 when you actually need the gear is annoying as fuck for what could be a 5 minute lfg queue

More than classic SOD which only has 3 day lock outs. So i dont really care for the argument that people arnt doing dungeons because we already have alot. We should be encouraging people to play with others not enabling their shitness that takes a fine balance to achieve. LFG is good for that because it offers nothing, Follower dungeons are good because they basically offer nothing and allow people to learn things. Mythics at the start mean something and allowing people to get good gear from ai would be braindead. We should use AI to help us, aid us assist us making this better NOT completely replacing things. There is already as little friction as possible instead of pressing 1 button you press 2, some friction is healthy its part of playing games it taps into a myriad of stupid human things like a sense of accomplishment and all that BS.

Biggest thing with the decrease in speed of flying is the zones are a lot smaller than dragonflight. Makes sense to me

With Dragonriding, you can probably fly from SW to AV faster than the old way.

I hope they realize how silly it is to punish players for something they put in the game for them to use, and correct that at some point.

Dungeon followers is the best thing to be added in years, but it's an odd double edged sword - fantastic for working people who like the casual playing, but also speaks to the wildly toxic environment the game has. Another option would simply to have a more relaxed filter on the finder. But to be honest, the less I have to listen to screaming 15 year olds that don't have time for you to learn mechanics instantaneously the better.
Here's hoping they fix the voice issues on certain demons for warlocks? Incubus is completely silent on my lock

I’m curious about the Iridikron / Vyranoth questline. It would be sick if Iridikron killed her. This whole expansion was way too soft and fluffy and ending it on such a dark note would be a cool foreshadowing of the dark times that are to come.

Looking in the follower dungeon, you have a druid healer, he dont buff ? A paladin tank, no aura? and same with the mage, no int buff :D
I can't wait to fly as dracthyr and learn some cool tricks with their dragonriding. I think their smaller size will help visually, if not by game physics themselves. Also I really want to dragonride on older expansions
I see follower dungeons as being something good for the game. I understand the need to cap at 10 runs to curb botting, but yeah the bots just don't run below 70 with the level boost anyway.

Idk what is the problem with Blizzard and the worgen tails, is so easy to add a couple of quest to get those, i mean we are faking dogs, dogs have tails, even the space goats and the cows have tails, come on man.

Hei. Will the DF mounts with dynamic flying, would they work as ground mounts in dungeons/arena/bgs also?
Does the Manuscript of Endless Possibilities also use the full transformations? My hope is that Blizzard provides a way to make those either their own mounts or a toggle we can enable/disable on the fly, because its nice to be able to switch and enjoy them all without having to go to a rostrum.

Mythic 0 (and 2-6) being added to LFG has to be the next step, normal mode NPC dungeons is fine for that section of the community who otherwise never touches dungeon content but I think M0 being behind group finder is a massive wall for huge swathes of the playerbase who have never completed a +2 key achievement.

Or they can just join 1 in like 1 second. Mythic dungeon rewards week there are about 1000000 0s being run. You can only hold peoples hand so much if they cant simply press 2 more buttons instead of one its a lost cause.
@@maxpowers4436 This feels ignorant to history, Blizzard themselves said that less than half the playerbase did DUNGEONS at all before LFG came in during wrath, and that was super easy mode faceroll dungeons with zero mechanics, I have to imagine the numbers were imensely higher than that for LFR in Cataclysm.
I understand m0 are completely nothing content, normals and heroics are completely useless, thats even more reason to add as little friction as possible into getting people into that m0-6 situation.
It doesn't matter how easy something is, the playerbase is a cancer, you can run every m0 with a ful group of level 68 characters in greens if you want to but getting into them as a fresh 70 when you actually need the gear is annoying as fuck for what could be a 5 minute lfg queue
@@ChichiNaka We dont need to look to history we need to look to NOW M+ and raids have insane numbers this patch millions of completes already with weekly lockouts. More than classic SOD which only has 3 day lock outs.
So i dont really care for the argument that people arnt doing dungeons because we already have alot. We should be encouraging people to play with others not enabling their shitness that takes a fine balance to achieve. LFG is good for that because it offers nothing, Follower dungeons are good because they basically offer nothing and allow people to learn things. Mythics at the start mean something and allowing people to get good gear from ai would be braindead. We should use AI to help us, aid us assist us making this better NOT completely replacing things.
There is already as little friction as possible instead of pressing 1 button you press 2, some friction is healthy its part of playing games it taps into a myriad of stupid human things like a sense of accomplishment and all that BS.
@@maxpowers4436 Not going to happen WoW has one of the worst communities in all of MMO's there's no 'encouraging people to play with others' when the comunity is as toxic as it is when content is easier than it's ever been.
I'm not even saying AI/Follower dungeons for mythics 0-6 I'm saying add them to LFG, put players together but the communities brains are so rotted against LFG/LFR and want everything to be as asinine as possible to stick to some historical relevance you think you're above.
It's 2024, everyone has full tier the second they hit max level, let LFG throw people TOGETHER with other PLAYERS and pump content, 2-10 fall over anyway
