I honestly think the randomized movements is a lot better than what we have, and I definitely think the engine isn't physics based whatsoever since when you build the slides currently, you can see the path the tubs will go on certain elements.
exactly! I think they can only do so much with their engine because it's not a physics based engine. At least they are trying though. I think they will get it right at some point!
It could be the engine but they could also use secondary systems to maybe be able to plug it in but when you consider just how much stuff that’s going on in a park, I would think once you start tacking on physics, it could probably buckle even good PC’s and/or force limitations maybe to park size limitations? I don’t know.
Thank god it's not finished yet: THEY ARE FINALLY TAKING THEIR TIME. A lot of people say it currently still looks bad but a thing that people don't seem to get is that Frontier won't magically overhaul the entirety of the flume physics in a month. This has to go in small steps, they just finished their first steps. A lot of people tell them to "just add physics" but that's not how games work. Yes, the new venus flytrap looks awful still, but chances are this is just the first step just to show that they are working on adaptive animations. If the slides still look awful in a year you could be worried, but this is probably just a first step to a much greater overhaul. We should be grateful they already got something done and are willing to share it and reassure people that they are working on what we want them to! A lot of people now say "this is bad and they should have done more, this is rushed" but people PLEASE DON'T SAY THAT, saying that is asking the devs that are now taking their time to rush it. Please give them time and be greatful they got somw stuff done already!
If they did all this before release than the product wouldnt feel so unfinished and polished. They decided to push the release out so we have the right to voice our critics. If they went with an alpha and beta phase like planco 1 i would totally understand that. But basically we got delivered a partially underwhelming experience with planco 2 now they have to bare with us „crying“ while they try to fix it🤷🏽♂️
The Venus trap from the dev build looks so bad, you’d think it was from release.

The people flying off the slides will be very fun to mess with and it's actually true to very fast real life slides

I don't understand how they managed it with swinging rollercoasters and the taboggan but now it's too difficult..i don't get it
