    Deuterium Nuclear Spin I=1, and will be NMR active but the frequency at which Proton NMR works, deuterium remains silent or doesn't show NMR activity.

    Greatly explained... But a little confusion over their when u told about even odd concept u explained that both isotopes of Hydrogen are NMR active due to odd odd combination ... but in this video u explaind that its inactive( D one)

    As per odd proton odd neutron combination, should D also be NMR active ? It might be active at different frequency.
    Also at 09:30 achcha hai aisa hota nahi hai, warna NMR kisi kaam ka hi nahi hota organic chemitry me :-)
    Finally, your lectures are the best i found to learn about the spectroscopy, both in terms of content and clarity!

    Hi Sir, Deuterium has 1 p & 1 n i.e odd proton & odd neutron so it's I value will be 1 & it should be NMR active but said its not active.

    Sir Deuterium NMR active nahi hota hain kya? It has 1 proton and 1 neutron. You told us about this in video 4 of spectroscopy. Odd+odd=whole number ...that is nmr active

    I am so much confuse , as a biology student I need to understand NMR . In the 4 th video you said deuterium is NMR active where I will be 1,2.... here you are saying deuterium is inactive I=0. And while doing the NMR deuteride chloroform is used as organic solvent and it shows the sharp peak in the graph. Why when it should be silent in proton NMR.
